Cozy Country Cottage located in Greenwich, NY

Come and relax at our Cozy Cottage with spectacular views of nearby Cossayuna Lake and distant mountain views to the North. Sit and relax on the patio while barbecuing, roasting marshmallows over the outdoor campfire, sipping your favorite beverage, playing outdoor games, or just taking in the quiet of country life. Our Cozy Cottage is a close 20- 25-minute drive to downtown Saratoga Springs and Saratoga Racecourse, and a short drive North to Lake George Village, shopping at the Lake George Outlets and the Great Escape Theme Park. Want to stay close in the Summer, and enjoy the biggest county fair NY has to offer...The Washington County Fair is in August. Mornings can be spent relaxing on the newly remodeled front porch with a cup of coffee from our coffee station. Afternoons can be spent taking a leisurely walk around the property, hiking, playing outdoor games, reading on the deck in the Spring, Summer, and Fall, or cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. The Battenkill River is a great place to swim and do some river tubing. Did you bring your kayak or canoe? Cossayuna Lake is within just a 1/4 of a mile drive where you can freely launch into the lake and enjoy picturesque views of the surrounding area. Carter's Pond Wildlife Management Area is within a 1.5-mile drive; with fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and hiking. Maybe take a scenic drive to Vermont to shop and leaf peep in the Fall. Enjoy all the amenities this cabin has to offer! We hope you will stay with us!

Perfect!

Perfect place to land after dancing all night to your favorite band. A little drive from SPAC but with it. Hosts made it a simple check-in. They were just a phone call away and gave great suggestions for local sights. Will definitely stay again if in the area!!

My sister and I come to Saratoga every summer to see Dave Matthews and this was by far the best place we have ever stayed! The cottage was absolutely adorable, with stunning views of the countryside and came equipped with everything one might need for a weekend away. From the private patio with grille and fire pit, to the inviting interior lit up with cozy lanterns, this place will not disappoint! The hosts even had this adorable snack tray filled all of the treats from the movie theater to enjoy while watching your favorite movie or show. This will definitely be our preferred place to stay going forward and we look forward to another wonderful weekend next summer!! Thank you! Erica E.

Beautiful cottage

This cottage is exceptional. The owners have provided everything you could need. Lovely, comfortable decor. The grounds are peaceful and relaxing. I highly recommend staying here.

The property is so much more than the cute cottage! There is a fire pit, a seating area with a hammock - perfect for watching the sunset. There are hiking trails on the 75 acre property - wish we had time to try them! If you’re looking for a quiet spot to get away, this cottage is perfect. Plus, it is 30 minutes from Saratoga Springs and just a little further to Lake George. I’m not sure there are any negatives at this location - except we had to leave!

This place was very quiet

I would highly recommend this place. Anyone who is looking for a peaceful getaway, with your partner or it's just a single person the surrounding area is very nice. The view especially the countryside the host was very polite in very informative of the place gave me very good instructions of the place. I would also add the liver.Room is very comfortable and very welcome.And as well the kitchen itself, it's very clean and very well organized the upstairs is cozy if I could give this 20 stars on this website, I would this place is a very peaceful place. It's been very quiet if you're looking to get away from all the noise would highly recommend it to anyone

Stan and Christa provides such a clean, quiet and peaceful gateway in this gorgeously decorated cottage overlooking a beautiful Mountain View. The overall atmosphere and communication from these host made our trip unforgettable, will definitely try to make it back next year

Simply Wonderful

My partner and I were in the area (from NYC) for a wedding, and this cottage was an absolute dream. It was cozy, quiet, comfortable, and exactly what we needed to offset the chaos of a wedding. We were provided with ample recommendations for the area that were so much fun, and cannot recommend it enough. Stay here!

One amazing cottage!

This cottage is exceptional! From the beautiful decor to having everything you could possibly need. It is super clean, homey, and simply perfect. We loved the peaceful serene setting. Sitting out at the fire each night was so relaxing and rejuvenating. Enjoyed coffee on the deck in the morning and watched wildlife. This is our second time here and we can’t wait for the third! Peaceful Homebase

Our stay was only 3 nights and we wish we couldve stayed longer! The property had plenty of privacy and we loved seeing the wildlife. 2 wild rabbits, deer, lots of birds and chipmunks. It was a quiet location but an easy drive to modern accommodations should you desire. Would not hesitate to come back!

Home away from home

Stan and Christa were amazing! They gave us loads of ideas for places to go and made us feel welcomed from the getgo. The cottage is beautiful and has all the amenities of home. The rolling hills and farmland were picturesque and it was a real toss up for if we should explore or stay in the cozy cottage. We had the most enjoyable vacation and will remember our stay in Greenwich for years to come! I highly recommend this property - it exceeded our expectations in more ways than one!

Perfect home base for a weekend at SPAC

This was a weekend trip of 2 friends for a concert at SPAC. We wanted to be away from the crowds but close by. This cottage was perfect! An easy (40 minute) drive to Saratoga. The cottage itself was absolutely immaculate. Clean, adorable, the hosts truly thought of everything. Communication was quick and easy. The outdoor space was awesome also! So many hang out areas and every detail thought of. Thank you for a lovely weekend!

Wonderful!

This cottage was fantastic! It was very peaceful and the hosts thought of everything you could need, very comfortable. We loved how it was close enough to everything that it took no time to drive anywhere but it’s far enough away to be able to escape. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay!

Saratoga Trip

We were spending time in Saratoga and found this very reasonably priced cottage about 30 minutes away. The one-bedroom cottage was set about 100 yards from the owner's main residence. There is plenty of privacy and the cottage included an outside area near the BBQ grill and a separate outside sitting area around a fire pit. The cottage is cozy, comfortable, exceptionally clean, obviously recently renovated, is has a great layout and it is beautifully decorated. The cottage includes everything you need for a nice getaway - I was very impressed with the full kitchen and all of the amenities supplied. The TVs and internet worked great. The property is set on 75 acres and the owner offers trails to explore if you have the desire to do so. Next time we are in the area, we will be back. Thank you again to the owners!

Christmas getaway

The little house is charming, cozy, with a beautiful view of Cossayuna lake. It had every comfort… wifi was great! The owners put in a personal touch for the Christmas holiday… lights, tree! It was perfect!

Lovely Fall Weekend Stay

The cottage was wonderful and had everything we could need for our getaway weekend. Very honey and comfortable. While not an issue for us, the steep steps to the loft bedroom could be a concern for some travelers. We definitely enjoyed the coffee nook each morning as we looked out at the beautiful fall colors across the field. It was very well appointed and it seemed that almost any detail was considered… they thought of EVERYTHING! We would stay again and recommend to others!

I am a retired local 236 electrician who has yet to find the time to retire. My lovely wife and I have owned this property since 1985 and have had many horses in our past years (which my wife mostly cared for) I was lucky enough to build and repair barns, cut and bale hay and do maintenance work on our 75-acre farm. I guess that is what keeps us young.

In the late 1980s, this property which was a camp and rental sitting on acres adjacent to our property became available for sale. After some fixup we rented it for many years and after our last tenant moved we updated it and decided to try hosting with the help of our daughter, Christa, and her husband Scott who live near us.

The Cottage is located on a country road with nice views, offering peace and tranquility yet within a central location to Vermont, Saratoga, Glens Falls, and the Adirondacks.
