Located in the Bates-Hendricks neighborhood of Indianapolis, just south of Fountain Square, and only a block from the IndyGo Red Line express bus.

King size beds in each bedroom. Kitchen equipped with fridge, stove, and microwave. Half bath downstairs. The full bath upstairs is an en suite to one of the bedrooms.

Bates-Hendricks is a historic neighborhood on the near south side of Indianapolis. This home is just south of the Fountain Square neighborhood and cultural district with many restaurants and entertainment venues. Conveniently located just off of I-65 near the I-70 interchange.

Great place

Was in a good spot lots of gas stations and store around and was only 7 minutes from Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Was clean and had all necessary items for food etc.

Place was good for somewhere to sleep at night. Check in was super easy. Great location close to downtown. Was pretty clean except dead bugs on the floor in the downstairs bathroom and ants all over the kitchen counter in the morning.

Cockroaches!!!There were actually some good things here, but I feel this is the most important thing for future guests to know. There were tons of cockroaches in the kitchen. A few the size of a half dollar and dozens of baby roaches. This is unacceptable and we did not stick around to check out the rest of the place in detail.The place isn't in the best part of town, but it's cheap and convenient. The house was actually pretty big and the host asked what kind of coffee I liked and stocked it, which was a super nice touch. Communication stopped after I mentioned the roaches, though, and I was unable to get a refund after many attempts. Eventually VRBO gave me a refund, but it sounds like the host was supposed to do it and never did.Couch was leather and seemed okay but never sat down, and there was a dining room table that was nice to sit at for a few minutes.Best of luck to the host, but I would of course not stay here again. Not the best vrbo experience either--though they did eventually refund me after much back and forth.

Clean but hot

Communication was great! Needed early check in and was able to do so. Place was clean but upstairs Heere bedrooms are located has no ac Annd was hot. Difficult to sleep. I’d ac problem was fixed I would definitely stay again.

Not Bad

The property was clean for the most part. There was a stain on the sheets in one of the bedrooms, I actually bought a set of sheets. They could provide an iron and ironing board, washer and dryer and maybe TV's in the bedrooms. But if you need somewhere to lay your head that is clean and not too far from downtown, then this is for you.

Combine getaway

It was close to Lucas Oil stadium but the neighborhood was run down with 2 boarded up homes on street. We did have parking in the back of house which was good because didn’t feel safe on street. Check in needs to be better. Had to call 4 times to get check in info.

This house is in the GHETTO!!!!

This house located in a area which I would not let my wife walk down the sidewalk during the day alone. Neighbors houses were boarded up and there was garbage on the front porches oh and large dogs barking. I never received a message back from the host when I mentioned my safety issue regarding the location either. VRBO couldn't reach the host either for a refund.

Hot visit

This listing is just like pictured. What we didn’t realize was that the bedrooms were upstairs and that there was absolutely no air conditioning upstairs. There were fans up there but it was 90 degrees outside and felt like it was 200 degrees in those bedrooms. Even after the sun went down they didn’t cool down very much. This is a new listing so maybe that is the reason for no air upstairs. Other than that it was clean and there were no other problems.

Not exactly what was expected

The neighborhood is pretty run down. We had no safety or security problems, but there was garbage everywhere and just not that clean. The house was similar. It was an old house with no real updates. The couch was filthy with huge stains. The kitchen was not especially inviting, there was a whiskey bottle in the freezer. The beds were comfortable but there is no air conditioning upstairs which made for uncomfortable sleeping, even with the provided fans. Overall we had a very low impression of the property.

Not a Desirable Location

The neighborhood seems very old and run down. It was easy to access with the smart lock, but I did not receive the code until I messaged to ask, 30 minutes after check-in time. The property was clean, but a little outdated. The shower was not accomadating to anyone much taller than 5'3 without crouching. The a/c is supposed to work upstairs-one bedroom had a tiny vent, the other didn't have a vent so it was still at least 10 degrees hotter upstairs than downstairs. We didnt receive any wifi info, but we didn't request it, so maybe that is why. Overall it was a place to sleep and shower. We were not fans of the location at all-didn't seem like a safe neighborhood. When communicating with the property manager he was friendly & answered the questions I had.

Crash Pad

We all kinda just referred to it as a crash pad. Was honestly worried at one point that we wouldn’t get our check in information and we did but it was about 30 minutes before check in. I’m a person that likes things planned to a T when it comes to this especially since we had plans right after check in. I’ve never had anyone send it the day of it’s always been days before. It was bare bones at the house. Like no extra linens for the bed should something happen. As a mom it could have a little more in case something happens to be prepared. We couldn’t find a broom to pick up a mess from the kiddo so that was upsetting we just had to leave it on the ground. It was what the price is. What you get is what you see.
