Newly renovated beach home on Lake Erie, home to some of the greatest fresh water fishing in the world. Fresh water diving lake erie has more than 200 shipwrecks!! Fun for everyone, with a 45-minute drive to Niagara Falls or a 40-minute drive to get to the vineyards to visit the wineries of Niagara. Or you can just stay in and stay on your private beach and relax.

Loved it here. The view was wonderful. We were close to Long Beach. It was a great location for bike rides. The cottage was perfect!

Great property! Clean, clear communication. The road between the property and the lake was a bit busy with two young kids but otherwise great stay.

Beautiful place to holiday

We had a wonderful week.The cottage is beautiful and the view amazing. Everything we needed was there, even fresh flowers on the dinner table.And just a few steps away the most delicious shakes at hippos.

We spent a wonderful week at this beautiful property. We enjoyed sitting down by the lake on our private beach, even on chilly days. There is something so calming about being close to a lake. The house is spacious and very well equipped. Everything we needed was there. We also enjoyed going to Hippo’s. Thank you for a great vacation.

My family and I stayed at this cottage for a week and all agreed that after over 15 years of staying in the area for a week each year, this was one of our favorites. It was spacious, comfortable, clean, and had all the essentials for us for the week. The photos are beautiful but do not do it quite enough justice. We had a wonderful week.

Girls Getaway

We loved this property. It was so well taken care of and they had everything we needed.We arrived to flowers and lit candles (battery not real).

Great property and a wonderful host

Great View!

We had a great time staying at the house. The owners have thought of everything. Well stocked kitchen with everything you need. It was quiet, clean with an incredible view. We got our kayak and paddle boards out on the water a few times. Walking distance to Hippo’s is a plus and you will definitely enjoy the food. If we are back in the area we would love to stay again!

Our lake front is great for paddle boarding and kayaking glad you were able to enjoy time on the water. We are so fortunate to have Hippos Restaurant just steps away from the cottage. When life at the cottage gets busy with having fun Hippos is happy to take care of the cooking. I love their fish taco's and their poutine. Yummy! We really hope you travel our way again and decide to stay at Lakeside Retreat. We'll keep the candle burning in our front window for your return. :)

Loved it!

What a great spot! And a beautiful house. And you had those things we didn’t bring, like salt & pepper, spices, a spatula, among so many others. Lots of games to choose from. The best part is across the street - sitting under the tree or in the lake with its vast sandbar. And a good strong hot shower after a day in the sun. Thank you.

Week getaway

We loved the cottage. It had everything you could ever need. The beds were so comfortable and the house was spotless. Devyn was great and offered suggestions on day trips. The beach was just what we needed for a week.

Great stay at Lowbanks for our family

This is a great place to stay, superbly appointed accommodation, lovely location, friendly neighbours, convenient for the Marina and Hippos takeaway. And Devin is an excellent host, who is always reachable, polite and attentive. Perfect.

Lakeside Retreat

We love the beaches at Lowbanks and it was so nice to be able to find such a beautiful cottage right by the lake that allowed dogs! We truly enjoyed our stay! Hippos was great for a quick snack as well it’s not even a 5 min walk from the cottage! :)

Our beach is very popular for kyaking & paddle boarding. Lovely Cottage by the Lake

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage. Exactly as described but the pictures really don’t do it justice. Great place to walk our dog too. We would definitely recommend it and would love to stay again if we are ever back in the area. Loved it!!!

Nice lakefront view!

This cottage is just as it looks in the photos, if not better! Very clean, and pleasantly decorated, with lots of space. Anything, and everything, you could need can be found if you look around a bit, These owners have thought of everything. And, Hippo's food truck just four doors down and across the road is a bonus. Great food and ice cream with a nice view of the lake. Less than an hour away is Port Dover, a great way to spend a day strolling and shopping. Only one downside...this particular area of the lake is quite rocky. However, if it's a sandy beach you're looking for a public beach is just 10 minutes down the road at Long Beach. Overall, a definite 5 star rating!
