This recently renovated two-bedroom, two-bath townhome offers a comfortable and private setting for extended stays in Charleston. Located in a quiet community just minutes from downtown, MUSC, and local beaches, it provides the perfect balance of convenience and calm.
Location • Approximately 5–7 minutes to downtown Charleston, MUSC, and College of Charleston • 15–20 minutes to Folly Beach and other local beaches • 25 minutes to Charleston International Airport • Close to multiple grocery stores, restaurants, and coffee shops
The home is situated near a main road for easy access but is set back enough that guests do not hear street or traffic noise.
The Townhome
This is a two-story, 2BR/2BA townhome with exclusive access to the entire home. • Second floor: Queen bedroom with private en-suite bathroom • First floor: Bedroom with two Twin XL beds and a separate full bathroom • Living room: Open, bright space with a large sofa bed, dining area, sliding glass doors, and skylights • Kitchen: Fully equipped with essential cookware and dining basics • Screened-in sunroom: A favorite guest feature—bright, breezy, and perfect for morning coffee or evening relaxation • Dedicated workspace for remote work • Washer and dryer in unit
Comfort & Amenities • Smart lock with easy self check-in • Nest smart thermostat (guests may adjust; host available to assist if needed) • Smart TV and Wi-Fi (network details located on the mantel) • Dehumidifier available in the living room (recommended during humid months) • Utilities included up to $200 per month
Outdoor & Extras • Dedicated parking space directly in front of the townhome • Additional guest parking available within the community • Screened sunroom and patio area • Outdoor grill on the patio (grilling utensils stored in the sunroom utility closet) • Beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, picnic backpack, and sand toys available for guest use
Getting Around
A car is recommended for getting around Charleston. Uber and Lyft are also convenient options for trips downtown, especially for dining and evening outings.
Pets
Pets may be considered with prior approval. Guests planning to bring a pet must contact the host before booking. Insurance restrictions apply to certain breeds, and exotic pets are not permitted. There is no fenced yard; HOA guidelines require dogs to be leashed outdoors and waste to be cleaned up.

Overall, a positive experience hosting this guest. They left the property clean and in good condition, and there were no issues during their stay.
The only minor area for improvement would be communication. I prefer to keep all communication within the Vrbo app for clarity and tracking, but the guest opted to use private email. At times, I did not receive confirmation that messages were received, which created a bit of uncertainty.
That said, this was not a major issue, and I would still recommend this guest to other hosts.

James Island location
Location was great. 10 minutes to downtown and 15 minutes to Folly Beach (weekdays). Quite area. The only drawback (from our perspective) was no outdoor grill or furniture available to sit outside.

Fantastic!
The house perfectly met our needs, our cat loved bird/Squirrel watching on the porch. It was centrally located and easy to get out main roads. Everything was clean and tidy. We thoroughly enjoyed our entire time in Charleston!

It’s very close to downtown Charleston and right off a main road, making it easy to get anywhere, yet set back enough to stay peaceful and quiet. Restaurants, grocery stores, home improvement stores, and everyday conveniences—from casual dining to upscale options—are all close by, making daily life easy and enjoyable.

With a bedroom and full bathroom on each level, it works beautifully for guests who prefer to avoid stairs, as well as for two couples or families who appreciate having their own private spaces. One of the true highlights is the sunroom, a favorite spot to relax with coffee or unwind in the evening. It lets you enjoy Charleston’s light and fresh air without the mosquitoes, making it a peaceful retreat even during the warmer months.
