This 2 bedroom 2 bath flat is on the first floor of a 2-unit building. The building is on the historic building register of San Francisco and it appears in the book ''Here Today: San Francisco's Architectural Heritage''. The house is one of the original farm houses in the Noe Valley area.

The flat has a private entrance. The master suite has a queen size bed with a private bath, while the second bedroom has a full size bed and a bath across the hallway. The living room has a queen size sofa bed. The flat comfortably sleeps 6 people and is perfect for a family or friends traveling together. Linens and towels are provided. There are hardwood floors throughout the unit. A large gourmet chef kitchen with high end appliances is stocked with pots and pans, dishes and cutlery. The living room opens out into a patio with south facing sunshine and keeps the patio nice and sunny.

Walking distance to shops, restaurants, cafes, Tech bus stops and public transportation.
Easy access to highway 101 and 280.

Great for temporary relocations, temporary work assignments or vacationers.

Clean & spacious apartment

Apartment was clean, spacious and walking distance to J muni and Bus 24. Jane and Mark were very responsive, they live upstairs. Apartment had everything we needed. Groceries, coffee places and restaurants are nearby. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks Jane and Mark

The apartment is bright, clean, well equipped and in a great location for transportation and walking. The owners live upstairs and are very helpful and attentive.

Beautiful Home and Wonderful Owners

Wow, my roommate and I are two traveling nurses who spent four months here. First the place is stocked with everything you could ever need and want to cook/ bake/ clean. Truly made it feel like home. The outdoor garden is beautiful and well maintained. Perhaps what made our stay were the lovely owners who we came to know as they lived upstairs from us. Mark and Jane are the most amazing humans, going above and beyond to make our stay at their place the best. I was parked on the side of the street with street cleaning and they texted me to move my car before getting a ticket on more than one occasion saving me from a 76 dollar ticket! My roommate and I are so thankful for their hospitality!!

Best of Noe

Wonderful amount of space, lovely garden, nicely furnished and excellent hosts. Plenty of room for our family gatherings. Street parking is ample and with no hourly time limit it’s easy to find a place to park your car, but with the J-Line train only a couple of blocks away your excursions to town are easy without a car. Take a pleasant walk along Sanchez St. to 24th for a stroll through the Noe Valley shops. Plenty of good restaurants in the area too and a couple or more of San Francisco’s best coffee shops are nearby.

Back Again!

Our daughter lives in Noe Valley, and when we visit her we enjoy staying this VRBO. We've stayed at others and this is our choice when we have more people staying with us. You can see our prior review after we came back for the third time. Communications with Jane are professional, the place is clean, well appointed and convenient. So this makes our fourth stay. That's our endorsement!

Our favorite Noe Valley rental

Though we stayed in other Noe Valley units, this is our very favorite. In fact,we have been here three times, once for a month. It has everything-- a complete kitchen,comfortable beds,linens galore, a lovely garden and fantastic hosts. It is close to 24th Street as well as stores and restaurants on Church Street. Transportation to downtown is easy and convenient. Staying here makes you feel part of this delightful neighborhood. We will definitely be back!

Back for the Third Time!

Our daughter and her family live nearby, and we have stayed here three times (with a reservation for a fourth). So, that's the best confirmation of our positive review. The location is great... on a quiet street and an easy, enjoyable walk to the action on 24th Street as well as the small shops and restaurants scattered around Noe Valley. Being recently renovated, it's a clean, well equipped apartment that has everything you'd need. The beds are comfy , even the convertible sofa in the living area, and because the street is quiet, it's quiet good sleeping. This rental is an excellent choice in one of San Francisco's unique neighborhoods.

Modern, comfortable, great environment

The apartment is in a wonderful neighborhood, close to good restaurants and easy commuting via public transportation to all parts of the city for sightseeing, theaters, etc. The apartment itself was in great condition, spacious, modern; comfortable bed in master suite, modern bathrooms, plenty of room for entertaining, lovely outdoor space, easy to maintain, basic household supplies (towels, paper products, kitchen key herbs, et al) were plentiful. Loved this place!

My nephew, daughter and I spent a week here earlier this month. I loved this place, loved the spaciousness, the modern, clean feel, as if it had been recently renovated with great attention to detail. The bed was divine, the kitchen well supplied, there were lots of outlets to plug in electronics, plenty of toilet paper so I never had to go out and buy some. This sounds small, but really, who wants to buy toilet paper while vacationing? I loved that there was a coffee grinder, and plenty of necessary seasonings, even olive oil. Not that I cooked, although I love to cook. But with so many great restaurants and cafes to choose from in such close proximity I found myself eating out after my morning enjoyed coffee on the little terrace outside. The neighborhood was quiet and felt completely safe. We had a rental car and it was just a little tricky finding parking, but it could be found if you don't mind a short walk. Jane was always easily available once the time for my arrival drew near and for any questions I had along the way. This place really helped make my stay in San Francisco perfect in every way.

Wonderful apartment.

We stayed at this apartment for four nights last month as part of a family holiday to the West Coast, USA. We were travelling with two adult children and it was wonderful to spend time in an apartment after a week of hotels. The apartment exceeded our expectations. It is light, spacious and much bigger than it appears in the photos. The kitchen is very well equipped, the beds are very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. We appreciated that everything from toiletries to washing powder was provided. The apartment is in a lovely area and provided a great base for exploring San Francisco and Napa. There is an excellent Wholefoods Store nearby where we appreciated being able to buy quality products in small quantities. We highly recommend this apartment.

Great place to stay!

I was very happy with the owner and the condition of the apartment. Jane was very friendly and great at responding to any queries that we had and was flexible where necessary. The apartment was clean, spacious, comfortable, and catered for all of our needs. It was also very conveniently located with easy access to transport system, shops, etc. I was really glad to have found such a great place to stay and will definitely be making another visit and will be recommending the place to others too! :)

Great stay in Noe Valley

As former residents of Noe Valley, we visit often, and have sampled many different apartments. This one was among the best - more spacious than usual and more than adequately appointed. It had plenty of space for myself and my son. We loved how dark the second room could be in the morning and all slept well! It's a moderate walk to the main hub of Noe (on 24th street) but still has the basics within a short jaunt (Coffee at Martha Bros, produce store, corner store, park). It's only 1 block from Muni yet far enough that you don't hear the trains going by.

Wonderful place to stay

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at this particular place, and we think it's a great place. Light, well furnished, patio with lovely plants and beautiful pots. plenty of room for ourselves, kids and grandkids. We would stay here again. Excellent

We are from England and greatly enjoyed our two week stay in this stylish and spacious flat. It is beautifully furnished, very comfortable and has everything you could wish for. There is plenty of space for a family, and there are two bathrooms - my son and his family from Australia also stayed with us. Jane, the owner, is friendly and helpful. The Noe Valley is a stunning part of San Francisco and has good public transport links to other parts of the city. It's a short walk from the flat to the shops and cafes on 24th Street. From the flat we did a longish walk to the top of Twin Peaks where you get panoramic and breathtaking views of the city. We were really pleased we found this place and would highly recommend.

Amazing stay!

Owners are so sweet and great communication. The house was big, clean, and a perfect place to stay. We had no trouble finding parking right in front of the house. It was an easy walk to shopping, parks and restaurants. Great stay!!

Quiet convenient lovely!

We stayed for six nights to visit with Bay Area family over the holidays and had a great time. The open kitchen has excellent appliances, the queen bed was especially comfy, and the master bath was much bigger than expected! Whole Foods, Walgreen's, and lots of wonderful local shops are within walking distance on 24th Street (but be forewarned that there are named streets between each of the numbered streets, so it's two city blocks for each numbered street), and it is a quiet residential neighborhood. And the suggestions in the owners' guest book are good; we had lunch at Eric's (Chinese) Restaurant on Christmas Day and it was delicious! As many others have said, the online pictures don't do the place justice. Thanks so much for making the season bright for us!

Exceptional property and superior location

We cannot say enough about Mark and Jane's beautiful rental property. Two bedrooms, two baths; well-appointed and obviously well cared-for. The open living/dining/kitchen area was remarkable and so inviting for the five of us (plus the three family members we were visiting). High ceilings and breath-taking wood floors throughout: We loved the property. The well-stocked private laundry room was a much-appreciated plus; and the large walk-in closet in the master bedroom doubled as a cozy playroom for our granddaughter; amazing! We appreciated the ample linens and amenities in the two bathrooms, and the kitchen appliances were top-notch. There was plenty of space for two families to spread out and have some breathing room. The private patio right outside the living room was a lovely space. We spent five days here and could not have been more at home. Everything was perfect. And the location is convenient to the J Church, to coffee, groceries, restaurants and shopping on 24th Street¬¬—no need for a car (which was a real plus for us). We loved our stay and we highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a classy, inviting, convenient home-away-from-home.

Great location and nice to come home to.

We were delighted with the accommodation. The day rooms are light and airy with high ceilings and a nice outlook through French doors to a back patio area. There is good early morning coffee at short walk away at XO and its an easy walk to every amenity. The TV remote was easy to use which is not always the case and the kitchen, washer/dryer, linens etc were well stocked. We hope to be back soon.

Five Star Home

We stayed here for a long weekend, visiting my sons who live in SF: me and my husband, my daughter and son in law and two grand kids (ages 4.5 yrs and 14mos) stayed at the property for three nights. We were delighted with the standard of the accommodation, which way way surpassed our expectations for a rental property. The apartment is beautifully renovated throughout with pretty high end products, and isn't just clean, it's spotless. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and is very spacious with high ceilings throughout, and a beautiful kitchen and family area. There were plenty of extra sheets, blankets, a few toys for the kids, and lots of extra touches that made for an A+ experience: shower gel and shampoo in the showers, hair dryer AND straightener, plenty of cutlery and crockery, a kitchen stocked with the basics (oil, coffee, spices etc. for cooking), washing machine and dryer with laundry detergent if you need, and best of all, the most welcoming and receptive hosts. We met both Mark and Jane, and both were welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We think we accidentally broke the jug for the coffee maker, and when we mentioned this to Jane, she ran up to her own place and brought down a brand new coffee maker for us. The area is residential and quiet. There's no allocated parking, but we were able to find parking for our oversized Yukon on the street in front of the house most days. We cannot recommend this place enough, and will be sure to stay here again on future visits to SF. Thanks so much Mark and Jane! We loved staying at your place!!

Perfect place!

Great stay!

Our group of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The flat was roomy and quiet, with lots of natural light. The kitchen was well equipped and up to date. Very friendly neighborhood. Our only caveat- if you plan on venturing out by automobile after 6:00, plan on parking a fair hike away....street parking fills up fast!

A little late with this review but must express what a beautiful home. Has everything you could want, spacious, bathrooms well supplied with loads of soft towels and everything very clean. The owners were very helpful, couldn't do enough for you. And to top it all a beautiful outside space which a great bonus. Ideal for transport links and shopping, coffee shops etc. We travelled from the UK and Australia for my daughters wedding and hopefully will return to San Fran in the near future. Great Stay In SF

We could not have been happier with this rental. Bus stops were close and made connections to Downtown and the BART system. Good restaurants were within walking distance. Also,close to a neighborhood party store. Apartment was clean and well stocked with needed bathroom and kitchen supplies. I would give it a 6 star rating if given the choice. We will stay here again the next time we visit SF. There will be a next time. One visit to SF is not enough.

A great trip and even better home!

We have only positive things to say about this rental and the owners. My 16 year-old niece and I stayed here in August 2014 and had positive experiences from the start. Jane and Mark are very communicative, from my first inquiry into the rental, to answering any questions I had prior and during our visit. They answered emails, phone calls and texts promptly and were willing to go above and beyond to meet our needs. For example, the first evening in the home I asked Jane if she had a fan we would use, and the very next day Jane brought to the house two new oscillating fans for our bedrooms. Not only was this gesture above and beyond my expectations, the fans provided lovely white noise and cooler temps as we slept (making for a great night's sleep for us both!) The house itself is beautiful; it is modernly decorated, clean, well-appointed, and overall very comfortable and cozy. Our favorite aspects of the home were most definitely the "back" area of the house- which includes an open, roomy and airy kitchen, dining room, living room, wet bar and french doors opening to the patio. I agree with previous reviewers that the home is larger and more spacious that it looks in the photos. Additionally, having our own washer/dryer in a large laundry room was another of my favorite perks! (Jane- add a photo of this to your listing!) The home was stocked well with toiletries, including larger-than-life bottles of shampoo and shower gel, as well as cleaning supplies, towels, dish cloths, laundry and dish detergent. Being a cook, I was pleased to see large bottles of extra virgin olive oil and very delicious aged balsamic vinegar, as well as a variety of spices. A large bag of dark roast coffee, tea bags and all the coffee and tea add-ins you would need were available too (including a coffee maker and tea kettle!) There were lots of dishes, a full array of kitchen utensils for baking, cooking and more. While we only stayed 4 days, this place is great for those staying longer and cooking lots of meals. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable, with extra blankets and pillows, and there were plenty of family boardgames and even toys for little ones. Finally, this was my third visit to SF and there is no need for a car. The J-Church is just a few blocks away, Whole Foods just a 10-minute (or less) walk, Safeway, lots of cute shops and boutiques. Do it SF style and get a MUNI pass! Overall, I can't say enough about this home, Jane and Mark, and Noe Valley. Thank you!
