Stay just 10 mins from the center of town and only 4 mins to Floores Country Store giving you a great central location nestled amongst the trees.
We strive to make sure your time at the house is relaxing and enjoyable and are always available during your stay if there are any questions or for any recommendations on what to do and see in the area.
Whether you’re taking a day trip from San Antonio, passing through for a night, or visiting for a week, you don’t want to miss the town of Helotes.

The home is located in the picturesque Hill Country with the center of town only 10 minutes away with supermarkets to stock up on supplies, stores to get everything you need and countless restaurants for you to try each night.

There’s plenty of parks with trails for you to hike and explore, an amusement park and recreational activities, and even a place of music legends you won’t want to miss.

Hike or bike over 40 miles of trails through beautiful canyon land and grasslands within Government Canyon State Natural Area. You could also enjoy a picnic, geocaching, a guided hike and other monthly programs. The best part about this place is the dinosaur footprints (yes, real ones)!

Who doesn’t love a visit to the local Six Flags? At the Fiesta Texas location (16 mins drive away) there’s rides for all ages and crazy roller-coasters like Batman, the Boomerang, the Fireball, Goliath, the Iron Rattler, Pandemonium, Poltergeist, and more! Plus, there’s a waterpark with fun water rides and other water adventures, and places to eat, shop, catch entertainment, and other events. Make sure you’ve got a whole day free if you go here!

Ever wanted to soar through and above treetops? Then go ziplining at Helotes Ziplines just 6 minutes from the house! You can tour the forests and hill country of Helotes on 9 different ziplines, plus, a guide will tell you about the area’s history.

Gold enthusiasts can also bring along their clubs and play at one of the many courses that surround the home with Oak Valley (6 mins away) and Cedar Creek Golf Course (15 minutes away) both great options.

If you love your live music, you can’t go past John T Floore Country Store just 4 mins from the house - don’t be fooled by the name - this place isn’t a store, it’s actually a dance hall and café that has hosted music legends such as Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline, Bob Dylan, Elvis, BB King, and more. There’s a lot of musical history here, so if you get a chance to see an artist perform here, do it! Floore’s is also well known for the tamales, homemade bread, and other Texas-style cafe food.
