Beautiful cottage with pool

Kids had so much fun in the pool, the cottage is really comfortable and has everything a family would need . Sue has thought of every detail and gave us great suggestions for local restaurants and activities . Cottage Location was fabulous just between kingsville and leamington downtown with lots of beaches and splash pads driving distance. Pt pelee park is also close and we went a few times , kids loved it. The fresh produce at the local markets was also a treat !!

Lake Erie Getaway Retreat

We had a great time exploring this area, and Sue’s poolside cottage was the perfect place for a home base. It is well cared for clean, comfortable, well stocked - we found it had everything we needed. Fun large pool - great for swimming, lounging, pool side reading. We visited Point Pelee, the island, enjoyed hiking, biking, birding, the winery’s - and the best thing relaxing. Great communication with Sue. Don’t hesitate to book this!

The pool is a dream

The house is clean, very accurate regarding the photos, if you have kids the pool has a shallow side that is very convenient and the host has a robot that makes cleaning the pool a breeze. Barbecue and all related in the kitchen works and makes your stay comfy. We would return 100%

I feel the price was way too high. Given the fact the pool was closed

There should be winter rates and summer rates due to pool advertisements.

Hello Richard, thank you for the feedback. As advertised, our pool is closed for winter and at the time of your reservation. Our off season rates reflected that. Thank you again for the 5 star rating. Hope you enjoyed our house and the area, and were able to take advantage of the free pass to Point Pelee. We'd love to host you again. Best wishes for the upcoming holidays. Sue:)

Sue and Rakesh were very quickly available in communication and help as soon as I booked and during our stay. I did encounter a little trouble receiving the door access code-but called and they helped me right away. The cottage is exactly as pictured-bright, roomy, clean, lots of household supplies, an amazing welcome bottle of wine-an outstanding booklet of information about the cottage, surrounding area, emegency help details, pool instructions; bonus points for that! Labels on cupboard doors, so it was easy to find things in the kitchen-cool idea! I stayed the long weekend in May with my daughter and dog. Beautifully landscaped and the salt water pool was open and warm for us. The landscaping is so beautiful front and back. The neighbourhood is quiet and great for dog walking. 2 minute drive to major grocery store and eateries. Lots of hot water and excellent water pressure. Guest access to Prime and Netfilx. Excellent barbque-we used a few times, no problems. Outdoor garbage and recylce containers. We really enjoyed our stay-you will too if you book! Thank you again Sue and Rakesh! Much Needed Getaway

We were a family of six staying at this house and the house easily accommodated all of us. The check-in process was easy. When we arrived we were amazed by the cleanliness of the house. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to find everything we needed. We loved having access to the pool in the backyard. We spent many hours playing in the pool or lounging by it. We really appreciated the use of the family pass to Pelee Island National Park - this was an added bonus. Sue was a great host. She connected with us often and was very responsive during our stay. We are looking to book this property again.

Poolside Paradise

Overall this property is a home run. The Peaceful backyard with a large heated pool, covered screened porch in back and lots of outdoor seating options were definitely the hit of this mini vacay, the weather was absolutely gorgeous and we miss the pool already. Inside is surprisingly roomy and nicely appointed. The tv and a/c worked no issues at all. There is a pass to Pelee Island Park for your use which we took advantage of. The property location is literally minutes away from a grocery store, drug store, restaurants, tims etc. Excellent communication with property owner from start to finish. Hopefully I can return at some later date. Glad we chose this place!

Great experience!

We are a family of four adults that stayed five nights in Sue’s cottage. We genuinely wish we could have stayed longer though, as everything was amazing. The house was clean and welcoming when we arrived, and equipped with everything we needed. You can tell this is somebody’s home by the quality of appliances, and there were a number of nice touches that added to the pesonal feel; A bottle of water and wine with the welcome note, and the ability to use the owners pass to visit Point Pelee National Park. Thank you Sue and Rakesh for being great hosts, we’d love to come back again!

Our stay at Sue's poolside retreat

We enjoyed the cottage and particularly the pool. However we think the description has to be amended. We were expecting 2 full bathrooms but in fact there is only one (fairly small) "full" bathroom with bath + shower, toilet and basin. The other one was essentially a closet in one of the bedrooms with only a toilet and wash basin. It is also listed as having a gourmet kitchen but while the appliances where quite good there was a lack of cooking equipment (pots, pans etc.) The other thing that was disappointing was the fact that although we had specified that there would be 6 of us, the pull out queen bed we needed had not been made up and no linens were available to make up the bed. The owner was called and texted when we found the problem but there was no response until the next day. It is unacceptable not to have someone locally who can respond in a timely way to issues found in rental property. (In our experience of renting places, problems of some kind have arisen on a number of occasions.) We were however impressed with the cleanliness of the cottage and the space worked well for us. It is certainly a lovely area .

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback and I’m glad you enjoyed the cottage. I have updated the property description to provide more clarity on the 2 piece washroom (powder room) in one of the bedrooms. We’ve also ensured linens and kitchen items are placed in designated areas for easy access. We do respond to inquiries in a timely manner, so apologies that this didn’t happen with you due to our limited access to the network. Looking forward to another opportunity to wowing you again next time.
