This was our second stay in a year, and it was every bit as enjoyable as the first. Tony and Mary Jo have created an incredibly homey and convenient spot featuring a wonderfully scenic view of Lake Erie. The cottage itself is quiet and immaculate, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfy spaces to sleep, lounge with a fire, watch TV and enjoy the lake views through wall-to-wall windows along the rear of the structure. The spacious deck offers an even closer and open-air waterside experience. Any need that we had was anticipated and provided for before we arrived for each visit. Bella Vista is now officially our favorite getaway spot, and my wife Deb and I look forward to another stay soon!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bella Vista - a beautiful spot on the shores of Lake Erie. Quiet and peaceful; the perfect spot to unwind. The cottage is cozy, comfortable and well equipped. Modern appliances in the well-equipped kitchen, Smart TV and wi-fi, and heating/air conditioning units in the main living area and both bedrooms as well. Easy access to nearby wineries and Point Pelee National Park, as well as several excellent restaurants (Mettawas Station is a new favorite). Excellent communication from Tony and Mary-Jo led to a problem-free stay at their cozy cottage. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck, listening to the waves break on shore. So quiet and peaceful - we hope to be able to return to Bella Vista again. Highly recommend this property!!

This was our second year staying at Bella Vista. We had another amazing stay. The location is perfect for young children. Our kids love the sandy area off the deck and swimming far out in the lake with the shallow water. The hosts, Tony and Mary Jo are very attentive and responsive. Very clean. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Host was a great communicator and helped to pre-plan some activities for our visit. Property was accurately described and was perfect for a couples getaway including excellent proximity to local wineries. Kitchen amenities were good and blankets were available when the evenings cooled off. Views of the lake were amazing and neighborhood was quaint which was exactly what we wanted.

Bella Vista is an absolute gem. My husband and I love staying here. From the beautiful lake views to the cute cozy cottage it is definitely our favourite summer getaway. The hosts are truly lovely people and respond promptly if we ever have any questions.

My family and I stayed at Bella Vista for a week in July and we absolutely loved it. The cottage itself was fully stocked with everything you could need and the views were gorgeous. We spent most of our time outside on the deck overlooking the lake and the little sandy area beside the deck was perfect for our young kids (10 months and 3 years). They even had lots of toys outside for the kids to play in the sand with. Mary-Jo and Tony were responsive, kind, and accommodating. We loved it so much, we booked a stay for next year! You won’t regret booking Bella Vista for your next summer vacation!

This was our first time staying Bella Vista. I have stayed numerous times using VRBO in North America and Europe. I have been fortunate to have had some truly wonderful experiences and this stay was no different. In fact, if I were rating it with our other 25 or so stays, it would be at the top. Let me explain.VRBO rating scales do not do justice to a place like Bella Vista. Excellent plus plus plus should be available. From price to owner cummunication, truly 5 star plus plus plus. For me, sending money to someone I do not know requires trust. What better way to develop that trust then by reading each and every review from past guests. Then, when proceeding, you immediately get a response that is professional and supportive, the trust goes higher. This is Tony and Mary Jo. They are Premier hosts for a resaon.Bella Vista was way beyond as advertised. It was completely stocked with supplies. Brought extra toilet paper. Didn't need to! Olive oil. There. Bella Vista was spotless. When you first enter you are 'blown away by what you see. The view. The room. The openness. The cleanliness. There truly is absolutely nothing more I could want in a guest house. Mary JO and Tony even left a card and some lovely oil and balsamic vinegar for tasting. WE were in the area for a graduation and were completely surprised and impressed that people would go out of their way to hang a Congrats Grad pennant on the door.Thank you Tony and Mary Jo. We would love to come back if invited.

Absolutely delightful!! Charming, comfortable, amenities are top notch, views stunning. We’ll return! The owners are attentive, thoughtful and respond quickly. It couldn’t have been cleaner. The kitchen is well equipped, bath towels are soft & thick, games available.

We had a lovely stay at Bella Vista. Really cute cottage feel, with a lovely view right on the water. Bright and clean; well stocked kitchen; everything you need. Excellent for the two of us. Great location for winery touring and a trip to Point Pelee. The rail trail - Greenway Trail - is 3 km away for a nice gravel ride. Highly recommend this place and would stay here again if we come back to this area.

Girls getaway

Comfort with a great view.

Tony and Mary-Jo have done it right with their beautiful cottage Bella Vista. We enjoyed the the surrounding area with shops and recreation at a fantastic kayak business "Somewhere Else Experience " on the Fox creek. They're hospitality was inviting and sincerely appreciated by our group.

Perfect Getaway on Lake Erie

The space was perfect for a getaway to Lake Erie. The cottage has wonderful outdoor space and lakefront access all within a short drive to downtown Kingsville. Even when inside the octtage you enjoy the lakefront views with all the windows and sunlight coming through. The cottage had everything we needed and was a delight to stay at.

Girl’s trip

This is my second time here this summer and I would go again if I could?Already looking forward to returning to this paradise next year. With stunning views and a clean and comfortable property that feels like home, how could you not want to visit again.The water was warm and the sandbar stretches so far out it’s a perfect place for water activities for kids and adults alike.Thanks again!

Everything about Bella Vista exceeded our expectations. We were surprised with how spacious and clean the cottage was upon entering. The view whether inside or outside is stunning. Perfect for our young family. We were able to swim, enjoy the lake and play board games (provided) on the deck while our youngest napped. Both children enjoyed the sand area daily. We enjoyed watching the sunsets over the lake and a storm across the lake one night. Quiet respectful neighbours and amazing hosts!

Best Vacation Rental in Kingsville

The place was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a cozy atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Excellent Cottage

The deck!! We spent so much relaxing time on the fantastic deck....right on the water! The rest of the cottage was great as well. Very clean. We also enjoyed exploring nearby Kingsville. The hosts were great...very helpful and communicative. You will enjoy staying at this cottage.

Kingsville lake retreat

The actual property is a lot better than what was shown on the listing. Me and my family enjoyed our stay and we had so much fun. We are already planning on booking the same place for next year and invited other friends to check this place as well. The owners are very prompt responding to our queries and they are very welcoming. Would definitely recommend this place to anybody. We can’t wait to get back next year.

Family Getaway

Absolutely amazing hosts and a stunning property. Check in process was simple. Cleanliness of the cottage was spot on. Had everything we could have needed and more. The welcome goodies were so thoughtful and delicious. They communicated thoroughly throughout our stay to ensure we had everything we needed. Great location and area to explore.
