Located in Fort Lauderdale's Poinsettia Heights desirable neighborhood, it is the perfect setting to lounge by the pool (heated in winter) or enjoy the beach within minutes. Close to Las Olas area, Galleria Mall, and Wilton Drive's restaurants and nightlife. Whether you wish to eat in or go out to nearby eateries, this suite offers all options for a relaxing vacation or workation.

Perfect Stay!

Bernard was a fantastic host to a fantastic destination. The suite and pool were the perfect oasis. I couldn't have asked for a better week.

Super Nice & Property Owner Was Awesome

We enjoyed our stay and the property owner was awesome and responsive to any questions. I appreciated that the property owner ordered my favorite coffee for my mornings. The suite was nice plus the pool was great after a long day of shopping. If I’m ever in Florida again I will stay here again.

Winter escape

Our stay was perfect from beginning to end. Bernard is an excellent host, very considerate, informative and a great baker. The space was immaculate, bed very comfortable and all the amenities were there for our use. The outdoor space was a dream come true. We can’t wait to visit again!

Lovely oasis

This place was like a little piece of paradise! The grounds and the house were beautiful, very clean. You had every thing you could need or want. Between the muffins and banana bread it was hard to leave.

Carrie & Joel were great guests; respectful of the grounds and suite, easy to communicate with and they left the suite in spotless conditions. Hopefully we will get to host Carrie and Joel during their next visit to Fort Lauderdale and I recommend them to other hosts for future travels.

Relaxing Getaway

We stayed for two weeks at Bernie's Hideaway and enjoyed a tranquil vacation in a lovely, private setting. Our host offered us everything we needed to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The tropical garden surrounding the the heated pool provided a perfect setting for enjoying the Florida sunshine. Our suite included a comfortable queen-sized bed and a separate sitting room for reading and watching a complete line of streaming options. The washer and dryer were an especially appreciated feature! Thank you, Bernie and Patriciu, for making us feel welcome and very much at home throughout our stay.

Little slice of paradise

This is our second time staying with Bernard and his partner. Once again such an amazing experience. From the word go Bernard treats you with such care that it truly feels like a personally tailored vacation just for you. We will be back again and again. Can’t recommend this rental enough!

Paradise!

This spot was perfect for my 3-week vacation. The place is so beautifully appointed, including the grounds, and is spotlessly clean. Bernard is a perfect host right from the first communication. The location is great, in a beautiful neighborhood and close to everything. And the beautiful pool, kept at 88 degrees! I will be staying here again, without question. I highly recommend!

Wonderful experience and best owner !

I came to Fort Lauderdale to have surgery. The owner was very friendly and nice guy. He made muffins and banana bread for me during my stay. Also, he was thinking about my surgery The room was very clean and quiet. I had a comfortable stay. The pool and garden were great ad I was able to relax. I would like to come back and staying here again !!!!

Amazing Property and Host!

This was our first time using this type of service and let’s just say our host set the bar very high for all the rest. A Pristine property- it was even more beautiful in person and all of the amenities he provided were more than we had ever expected. Upon meeting our host you could tell instantly that he loves making his guests feel welcome and treated us how he would want to be treated as a guest. We more than enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to another one.

A+++++++++ THIS PLACE IS THE BEST!!!!

I would give this lodging 10 stars out of 5 if I could. Everything was perfect. Bernard is an amazing host-highly communicative, extremely thoughtful and fun to talk to. He checked in regularly to see if we needed anything, and even provided us with our favorite beverages. The lodging and everything in it is squeaky clean. The bed is super comfortable. There are all the amenities you’d hope for (dishes, etc) and tons you wouldn’t expect (spices, in-unit laundry, robes/slippers, beach chairs and umbrella). The location is perfect-close to beaches but in a nice walkable neighborhood so you can get away from the touristy chaos. The pool and grounds are beautiful and there is a grill if you feel like dining Al fresco-which you will because it’s so lovely dining poolside on a beautiful evening. Truly our favorite Vrbo ever. Thank you, Bernard, for making our vacation wonderful!!

Don't miss this gem!!

Let me start out by saying, this property is way more amazing then advertised... From the driveway it was breathe taking... The homeowner met me in the driveway(it's was already dark) so I thought it was a super nice gesture. After that we went through every part of the property so I didn't have any questions...but if you do there a bible to reference . If you forgot a thing..don't worry they have thought of EVERYTHING!! Even a nice robe beautifully layed out on the bed. I can't say enough good things about my experience with the homeowner and friends. We can't wait to book again!!

Paradise in a rainstorm

Where to begin? Before the wheels on our plane even touched the ground, Bernard made sure to check on us and make us feel more than welcome. Once we hit the ground Bernard picked us at the airport (12:30am mind you) and gave us the grand tour. Everything at our rental has been thought out to a T; from our favorite coffee creamer waiting in the fridge to the luxury spa robes set out neatly on the bed. Bernard’s hope is more than beautiful; between the pool, landscaping, and interior design this is your own personal paradise in the middle of a bustling city. Bernard has every recommendation you will ever need for local cuisine and everything else. We just so happened to pick the week when it rained 30 inches in 24 hours and the whole city was flooded. Bernard went out of his way (making cookies, banana bread, checking on us) to give us a great experience even with the weather. Luckily, our last couple days the sun came out and we got to experience the true Florida vacation we planned for. We CANNOT recommend this place enough if you want a peaceful, relaxing getaway. Close enough to anything you can imagine to do for fun, yet far enough away to get to enjoy the peace and quite on a beautiful Florida night. We are planning our trip back for next year and will most definitely be staying here again. Thanks again Bernard for everything, could not have been more perfect. 11/10 stars ⭐️

Alexandria & Bradley were the perfect guests, and despite the torrential storms and consistent rain during the week, we managed to help them have a relaxing vacation. They were respectful of the property, super clean and made it very easy to host them in the tropical rain. We are already looking forward to hosting them again in the next year or sooner, and would absolutely recommend them to other hosts in future travel.

We maintain a healthy lifestyle through outdoor activities, including working around the house, and physical fitness. We are quite gregarious and enjoy meeting new people from North America and overseas, and we look forward to seeing you in our vacation rental suite really soon.

The recently renovated 330 sqf. (31 sqm.) suite is centrally located in the middle of a quiet residential neighborhood, and yet we are walking distance (< 1 mile) to well known shops, super markets, pharmacies, restaurants and cafes. Central Fort Lauderdale beach is ~2.5 miles from the our location and can easily be accessed by car, UBER/LYFT and/or bicycle within minutes. Our neighborhood is 7 miles from Fort Lauderdale Airport or the Cruise Terminal if you decide to extend your vacation after a cruise, making Bernie's Hideaway the perfect location for your next getaway.

The uniquely appointed 330 sqf (31 sqm.) suite includes 2 rooms (bedroom/kitchenette & den) and a full bathroom, allowing 2 adults to share, and yet have the ability to read, rest, eat, work, and/or simultaneously watch their respective shows (Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, HBO MAX, Apple TV+, News & Sports channels), particularly on cloudy days. The den area in the Suite is multifunctional with an effectively engineered coffee table that easily converts into table to eat and/or work, overlooking the serene lush garden and pool, with the soothing sound of water throughout the day. If you are planning to drive a car, there is dedicated parking in front of the suite.
