Wonderful Lake Getaway

Our family wanted to explore the Detroit Lakes area and this was a great fit. After a day of exploring some great places, this cabin was great to return to and take a refreshing dip in the lake. It was a great place for our family to relax and spend some down time together.

Great Weekend

This property was super clean. The owner was very easy to talk to and get a hold of when we needed him. The lake and watwr were beautiful!

Excellent views and comfort

The view of the lake from the back yard is beautiful! Relaxing on the dock with a fire at sunset is truly incredible. A peaceful and serene place to sit and have a cocktail, waving at passing boats and listening to the sound of birds chirping sets a mood that is hard to beat. I would definitely recommend a weekend stay at this location.

It’s due to people like Clay that I rent my house out. When guests enjoy the place and the areas restaurants and activities as much as Clay said he and his girlfriend did, it makes me happy. He was a responsible and respectful guest and left the place spotless… like it was when he arrived. Clay is welcome back anytime!

Girls Weekend Success

This is a great place to stay for girls weekend! There were four of us, we had plenty of room and we were all comfortable. We got to check in early, free of charge which was awesome! The rental was very clean. There was no trace of pet hair or dander like a previous review suggested. The shoreline was nice and flat which made access to the lake very easy. There was no sand for kids to play, however, the lake appeared to have a nice sand bottom. The doc was large, geat for sunbathing, there were even some nice lounge chairs out for us to use. This was a great location with great shopping and restaurants 10 mi away. My only recommendation would be to add blinds, shades or curtains to the wall of windows in the living room. The view of the lake is beautiful however, it got pretty hot during the day and I felt like it lacked privacy at night. The hot tub wasn't working which was a bummer. The grill wasn't working, but It sounded like it was just recently damaged and the owner was looking into getting it fixed/ replaced. I would definitely stay here again!

Megan, I'm glad you and your group enjoyed yourselves, had plenty of room and were comfortable in my clean space. The previous guest who claimed she had an environmental allergy, had her review taken down as even VRBO knew she was lying, as she never even stayed in the space. She was just looking for a free stay. I have never allowed pets in the space and never will. I have already fixed the spa as a prior guest must have chanced a setting that lowered the temperature. Spas are tricky when strangers use them who have never owned one. The grill only needed a new drip pan and I have ordered one to be delivered tomorrow. As there is total privacy on my property, with no neighbors able to see in any windows and nobody but your own group to ever pass by the space, as well as most guests leave the windows open most of the time, curtains or blinds blowing around in the living room would be a nuisance and have never been requested. I believe both a bathroom and a bedroom with blinds/total privacy has been adequate for all the other guests. It is a very private lake home and not a city location but I appreciate your feedback. Relaxing & cozy

We stayed there for a week in August and it was great. Everything was as described and the host (Thomas) was very gracious, helpful and friendly! We will definitely return if our situation allows us to! It was perfect for our family of four. Perham is only a few miles away as is Dent and Vergas so there are many restaurants and grocery stores within driving distance. Little MacDonald is a great little lake. We aren’t fishermen but we heard a lot about the good walleye fishing there. Overall it was a great experience.
