Located in Stone lake Wisconsin on Sand lake

Enjoy all that the Northwoods has to offer when you book your stay at our charming, comfortable and newly renovated lake cabin! From the sandy lakeshore swimming area to the Class A1 Musky fishing lake (also great walleye fishing) to the snowmobile and ATV trail that adjoins the back of the property to the beautiful sunsets from your lakeside area, this cabin allows you to have the quintessential Northwoods outdoor and lake experience.

Our cozy cabin has been newly renovated and has the Northwoods feel you are looking for. There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor both equipped with beautiful log queen beds. The open concept kitchen and living area are a great gathering spot for the whole family and the patio out front provides extra space as well. Enjoy our well stocked coffee bar!! Downstairs there are 2 more bedrooms (1 with a log queen bed and ensuite bathroom, the other is a bunkroom that can sleep 8) plus there is a second living space as well. With the futons in the living room and all the bed space you can sleep up to 16 people and would be ideal for families that want to share a rental and still have space.

There is a huge park-like yard for the whole family to enjoy. Perfect for gatherings or just family time by the fire pit.
The location of this property is absolutely ideal, as it is only 5 minutes from Stone Lake which has numerous bars and restaurants, a coffee shop, wine shop, plus a Dollar General and grocery store. Hayward is only 15 minutes away where you can enjoy Main Street, visiting the "Big Musky", go-karting or mini golf and many other activities. You are truly in the middle of the vacation area with all the amenities you could possibly desire.

Summer, winter, spring or fall, this property provides all you need!

Great Stay in Stone Lake, WI

Our large group stayed at the cabin while in town for a Men’s Hockey Tournament. The cabin was perfect for our group, good location for Stone Lake and Hayward, and easy access. There was plenty of space and the coordination of the cabin by Cassidy was great. Location was quiet, yet accessible. Would highly recommend, it was perfect for our group.

gorgeous and relaxing

We had a lovely and cozy stay! The backyard was just amazing and peaceful...had everything we could want. Only downfall was the mattresses in the bunkroom....very uncomfortable and one of the beds broke. Otherwise, a super place!

We would defiantly stay here again. The house was clean and exactly as advertised. They have it well stocked with many extras. Communication was super, every time I messaged with a question, we got answers right away. Great location

A great place for a family vacation

This cabin was a perfect fit for our family of 14, ranging in age from 1 to 60. There was plenty of room for all of us, the yard was HUGE, and the hosts were so responsive and friendly. Sand Lake was fun for fishing and the sandbar at the dock made for a great place for all our young ones to play in the water safely. They had everything we needed for a great vacation.

Fourth of July weekend stay

Had a wonderful time on Sand Lake! I was initially disappointed that the lake access was across the road, but it was fine. The grandkids know never to cross a road without an adult, so it was a perfect barrier to the lake for them. The sand and shallow water went on forever and they absolutely loved being able to jump off the dock all the way to the end. We didn't have to worry about them taking the floaties too far out and they loved trying to catch minnows. The configuration of the house was perfect for 4 adults and 2 kids. We had everything we needed. Enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend it.

Great property! The backyard is HUGE and quiet. The kids could run around and play while the adults sat around the campfire. The gas station is right down the road and has firewood bundles. We came to ride UTV/ATV’s and had plenty of room to park multiple vehicles with large trailers. Nice long driveway. Having trail access at the back of the property was very convenient. The kids loved being able to go swimming in the lake at the end of the day when we got back from riding trails. The lake is very shallow but nice sandy bottom. The house is beautiful inside. It was a bit cozy at meal time for the 14 of us but honestly what house wouldn’t be for that many people. We spent very little time indoors during our stay as the outdoor space is so great and we had great weather while we were there. Definitely will stay here again if we come back to Wisconsin.

Awesome Place with a Perfect Location

This house is the perfect location for snowmobiling as the trail is just out the back door, and the gas station/mini mart is only 1/2 mile away by trail. The owners quickly respond to your questions and were very accommodating, when we arrived at the house it was very clean and perfectly stocked with items. We had a group of 4 guys so we had plenty of room to stretch out! I would definitely stay here again!

We had a good time! It was kind of a shock to see the water was across the busy highway as from the pictures it looked like it was in the backyard. There were neighbors who came onto the property looking for their little dog consistently, walking in the garage and around the house, we chatted with the owner of the VRBO and they have taken care of this issue. We also were a little sad that there was no firewood in any of the sheds for us to use like it was stated so we had to drive into town to get our own bundles. Otherwise it was a great stay, wonderful comfy beds, and having a cool basement for hot days was nice!

Spacious yard and beautiful views

My family stayed here for a family reunion. There were people ages 1-71 and all enjoyed the cabin. The yard was large and spacious for the littles to play in and the fire pit was a great place to gather. The house itself was a bit cozy for the 13 of us, but everything else made up for it! The hosts were very nice and accommodating and we appreciate their communication and thoughtfulness. Was a wonderful week overall!

Gorgeous Furnishings - Has Everything You Need

Very beautiful cabin. Loved the kitchen and basement. Very well stocked appliances and dishes. Kids loved the kayaks and lake area. The pellet grill is very nice and easy to use. Tons of seating outside and fire pits at the cabin and by the lake. Great storage in garage and plenty of parking. The only drawback is if you have a large boat, the lake in this location is very shallow. We were not able to dock there (18' lund). If the dock is extended in the future it would not be an issue. Was very comfortable for the 8 of us. Good communication with the property manager.

Thanks so much for staying at our cabin! We realized the dock situation was a problem after we set it up. We had no clue that sand bar went as far as it did! Hoping to get a longer dock if not by the end of this year at least next!

Tight fit

The house was nice but very small and it was hot with only a portable air conditioner upstairs. We used fans also trying to cool the place down. There was 11 of us and it was not comfortable. It is not suitable for large groups unless you stay outside. We made the best of our stay by going out and about. The family was not happy with the lodging. The host did respond quickly but there wasn't anything she could do about the hot house. We went on the Pizza Train and the whole group enjoyed it. Also you will enjoy the serene view of Lake Superior. Totally wort the 2 hour ride. about. The family wdid not .

We apologize, our main ac was down and waiting on parts for a few days. We were trying to make do as best as possible with the portable unit but with the hottest week of the year, it was definitely unfortunate timing. Sorry the size wasn't quite what you were looking for. 90% of our guests are family groups of 10-14 and almost all review their stay as 5 stars.

We had an amazing time!

Pros; location was perfect, close enough for a few activities off the property we took advantage of the antique shops, go carts, playground down the road, the Hayward beach for a change of scenery and the “musky museum “ was a huge hit with our fishing obsessed kids. The lake was crystal clear, depth was great for little ones, kayakers loved having a few more boats to use. (We brought a couple of our own) and the peddle boat was fun. The kitchen was well equipped. We prepared and ate every meal at the cabin, my daughter only missed having wooden spoons. Coffee bar was a great idea and was used quite often. The yard is huge, we spent hours on the front deck and around the fire pit in back. Beds were comfy. Bonus points for the amazing wood work! Cons: We happened to be staying on a 4 day heat wave and the portable AC was trying but just couldn’t keep up. The lake is across a busy 55 MPH highway with a blind hill, thankfully the house sits very far back from the road-we only had a couple of times when a “big kid” (11) tried to cross by himself and we panicked. The lake depth was great for the little ones, but we had a 22 ft bass boat and had to wade about 200 ft to the anchored boat. Plus, the hassle of bringing the boat back to the house each night. The cons didn’t seem to matter too much once we got into our time together. Our entire family really enjoyed everything about our stay and we made many fantastic memories!

Friend reunion

Super great property! We had 12 of us together for 4 days, and this space held us well. Definitely on our list to come back to! Was very clean and smelled very nice. We enjoyed our stay, and recommend this to others!

Weekend family getaway

This was a wonderful place for us to get all of our family together for the weekend. we planned on having 11 of us, but ended up with 9. We had fun in the huge backyard playing yard games, grilling, and just sitting around the campfire making smores, and just relaxing. Some of us went on walks on the trail that goes along the back of the property. We took my boat out a couple of times. The wind was blowing pretty hard so the lake was ruff, making it hard to fish. The water is shallow around the dock making it difficult to get the boat in and out. Had to push the boat with a paddle out far enough to get the motor down. It's close enough to Hayward to drive in to see attractions and shop there.

Great fun!

16 family members, aging in range from 7-90, stayed 4 nights in this beautiful cabin. It was sometimes quite “cozy” because of the number of adults vs children. It would be ideal for 2-3 families with 6-8 children. We made the best of it and spent lots of time outside or down at the lake. We enjoyed the outside games provided, as well as the kayaks and paddle boat. Owners were fantastic and always communicated in a timely manner.
