Log Cabin remodeled in 2022, with amazing views, on Big Butternut Lake in Luck, WI

Located 1.5 hours from Mpls. on private 3 acre wooded lot with 300 ft of lakeshore and large new dock for your boat or inexpensive pontoon boat rental to dock at your own place.
Sleeps 14 comfortably and has an extra nightly fee for additional people over 10. Newly remodeled kitchen with all new appliances and great cooking space with two amazing large granite islands and includes fully stocked cooking pans, dishes, utensils, coffee maker, blender, waffle maker, appliances, etc.
Canoe & Kayak available to use and others available for rent a few doors down along with paddle boards. Plus, launch your boat at boat landing nearby to put on the dock. The brand new 2025 dock has the largest sundeck/fishing platform allowed in WI. Great fishing off dock for pan fish. Read reviews other guest say best fishing they have ever had right off dock. Quiet lake for family activities: swimming, tubing, waterskiing, sunset cruises, boating, rafting, just relaxing.

Great place for families!

We had 3 generations staying at Lucky View Lodge and we all loved the accommodations.The youngest grandchild had his first s’more at the lovely fire pit overlooking the lake and the 2 older grands had their fill of catching fish. The adults enjoyed the spacious cabin with plenty of room to spread out, the well-stocked kitchen and multiple dining and lake-gazing areas. Amy is a very attentive host.

We had such a wonderful time! The space was prefect for our family of 10 to enjoy time together. Our two Littles loved the deck , hammock, finding wild strawberries on our walks, watching two bald eagles fishing & flying , a beaver or otter swim, a snapper, swimming off the dock. What a lovely property. There is talk about coming back! Thank you so much.

Awesome Property

My family had a great time at Lucky View Lodge. The house is beautiful and spacious. The back yard is wonderful. Sitting by the campfire watching the sun set over the lake was incredible.

Beautiful property

The house is very comfortable and relaxing, and the property it's on is lovely. The host has made sure there are plenty of things to do, including kayaking, swimming, cornhole, ping pong, and lots of others. Overall, we'd be happy to come back.

Nice place for a multi-generational get-together

Be aware that the pet fee is over and above the total you pay at checkout. This is a very nice place to stay and the owner kindly returned the shoes I left there.

Family get away

We enjoyed the cabin and the property very much. Surprised by how big and beautiful the cabin was. Most of our meals were out on the deck and the firepit was very nice. I would difinitely recommend this property to other people.

Lake get away

Amazing cabin on the lake, wildlife and beauty! Perfect place to get away to relax. Amazing host who even let us know to look out for the northern lights. Which we saw. We will be back!

The perfect family getaway.

This beautiful home was well-equipped, spacious, and clean,. The weather was perfect and lot of fish were caught. Loved being close to the water overlooking from the fire pit. Many special memories were made at this place. Thank you for letting us have the opportunity to enjoy with our little family.

Wonderful Family Weekend!

Kitchen had everything we needed, was large enough to move around and plenty of seating. Great deck with large table and fire pit overlooking the lake was awesome. Had no trouble with sleeping space for our large group. Kids had so much fun discovering the hammock. Great weekend getaway!

Perfect summer getaway!

We had a great time!! Amy was always in contact and a great host. Kids had a blast swimming and fishing! We caught enough fish to eat for dinner one night. 😊

awesome stay

My family and I had a great time here at the Lucky View Lodge. We spent most of our time looking over the lake and enjoying campfires and pontooning around the lake. My grandsons loved fishing off the dock as well as swimming from the pontoon and dock. Everyone had a wonderful relaxing 5 days. We will recommend the lodge to friends. Thanks for a great mini vacation.

Awesome Spot

Awesome host. Awesome property. Awesome location. Host was easy to work with. House and property provided more space than the pictures do justice. Even with 11 people we never felt crowded inside or out. It felt like a little private slice of wilderness.Quick and easy access to the grocery stores in town. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Perfect family getaway! Fantastic!

We really enjoyed our stay at Lucky View Lodge! Cabin was amazing! Very spacious, comfortable, and communication with the host was great. We enjoyed fishing (having fish fry with what we caught), bonfires, swimming, floating in our tubes in the lake, going to the towns Lucky Days festival, and just relaxing. The view looking out to the lake was amazing! We really could not have asked for a better place! 😊

A perfect spot to relax and enjoy family time in a beautiful setting

The property was wonderful. Amy was amazing, very accommodating and accessible. Kitchen was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this property. For families with Toddlers (we had one not quite 2) there were gates, but you may wish to bring one of your own to secure stairway area. Fishing and firepit were so enjoyed by our entire family. Amy deserves Premier Host status!

Beautiful, much to love. will be back

Breathtaking and peaceful views. Great log cabin. Wide lot against the lake up on a small hill, made it feel so private and plenty of space for everyone to hang out at the fire pit and for the kids to play. Beautiful sunsets. Eagles, a muskrat that wandered onto the shoreline. Great fishing off the dock, and easy to get a boat rental from a local company. Kitchen fully equipped and plenty of space. Plenty of sleeping space for our group of 5 adults and 4 kids ages 7-18 mos. Great deck with table for charcuterie in the afternoon. Fire pit was put to good use, lovely to enjoy the flames with the view of the lake. A couple very small cleanliness issues which did not hamper our enjoyment in any way and Amy was fantastic about making sure to address those things for future guests. Amy kept me informed, checked in and sincerely cared that our stay was great. Entire family said we need to come back next year and make this a tradition.

Awesome!

My family group of five (5) just spent a wonderful five days at this property...simply excellent! We truly enjoyed everything about it. The property is perfectly located for a quiet and relaxing time on a beautiful lake. We spent time fishing...and catching a lot, relaxing, watching the Bald Eagles, beavers and ducks on the lake. The house is very clean and comfortable, the kitchen is fully appointed (lots of spices too), the furniture and the beds are great. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to "get away", fish and just plain relax!

College Roommate Reunion

Lucky View Lodge was the perfect setting for 4 college roommates to get together for the first time in 50+ years to celebrate birthdays and catch up. It was wonderful -- and just as it looks in the online images. It has a beautiful view on a serene lake with great accommodations. We each had our own bedroom, and made use of the screened-in porch, the comfy living and dining rooms, and ate lunch every day on the attached deck. The recently remodeled kitchen was impressively stocked with whatever you might need for cooking in. We grilled and ate in two nights and treated ourselves to dinner out at the Balsam Lake Lodge for the third night. We really enjoyed sitting around the firepit or out on the dock, chatting and watching all the lake activity, especially all the bald eagle, osprey and great blue heron fishing and flying over all day every day. They were amazing! Our host Amy was in touch with us every day to make sure we didn't need anything which was much appreciated. We all loved it and would visit again in a heartbeat!

My name is Amy. My husband and I have had our eye on this log cabin for several years prior to it coming available and our purchase. We bought this cabin as our retirement home, and until we get to that point, we would like to share it with others. The property was built in 1983 and was featured in Architectural Digest . We partially remodeled the bathrooms and the whole kitchen in 2022. The countertops throughout the house are all different spectacular granite, that make the cabin truly unique. The log cabin is special and we are looking for renters that appreciate the "Lucky View" that it offers and the quiet charm. We have a family of bald eagles that nest in the back portion of the property and perch on the huge pine tree next to the house. It's amazing to see the eagles on the lake. This place is special. The property is best suited for smaller groups and families.
