Our house is a calm and relaxing place. If by car or bicycle: Not more than 20 kms from beautiful towns of historical interest, like Schleswig, Eckernfoerde or Flensburg, Ulsnis is a good starting-point. Bicycles and kayak are included in our price.

Our house offers good conditions for people who have a handicap in walking: the floor has no barrier, it is all the same in the whole house and the doors are all about 86 cms wide. There are: one sleeping room with a double bed, and a small one with a single bed, a bathroom with shower without barrier, and with helps and supports for those who needs it. The big living room is equipped with a kitchen part including 4 plates and a baking oven, a sink and a cupboard, toaster, coffeemaker, waterboiler. 4 windows of this big room are beginning at the level of the floor, so it is very clear and the view over to the Schlei is beautiful. There are a sitting group and an eating table, cupboards and TV. A glass door gives access to the terrace and the grass-plot. We have garden furniture and a little movable barbecue.
You have central heating and a light underfloor heating in each room, caused by thermic solar and photovoltaic and a modern gas heating.
On your arrive, you find towels in the bathroom and fresh linen on the beds. Our guests can use the bicycles and the 2-persons-kayak .

The garden is a relaxing place with garden furniture, deck chairs etc.and you can sit under a big old pear tree.

In summer you can go on the Schlei in a passenger boat.

Ulsnis is a mostly agricultural community. The landscape is soft, with fields, small woods,beautiful coastal parts of the Schlei. In Ulsnis there is one of the oldest romanic churches of the region "Angeln". There are many roads for bicycle and walking tours. From the windows of our house you have a fine view on the Schlei which you can reach by a little curved road (900 mtrs) through fields and a little beech-tree-wood and from there you can follow a walking path along the shore and fields which brings you back in about one hour. For bicycle tours, you can find here many ways. In our house, you find maps and flyers of the region.
If you are interested in viking culture, there is a very famous place called Haithabu (Haddeby) with a very interesting museum near Schleswig, in Schleswig, too, there are archeological and art museums, as well as in Flensburg.
