Lakefront Cottage on Beautiful Wheeler Lake in Lakewood FAMILY FRIENDLY!

Our 4-bedroom cottage is located on 50 feet of prime frontage on Wheeler Lake. Wheeler Lake is a spectacular spring fed lake around 300 acres. Our property offers stunning views of the lake from all levels and upper deck. Also located on the East shore, take a moment and watch that gorgeous sunset! The newly installed aluminum pier is 32' long, the perfect length for a boat or pontoon, fishing, and jumping into the crystal clear water. The end of the dock has fishing rod holders and BENCH! Tie up your boat to the left, swimming area is on the right with a sand bottom and stairs leading straight into the water. Spend your time here fishing, swimming, or boating on the fully recreational lake. Or, enjoy the area's vast trail system perfect for ATV/UTV's & snowmobiles. We have plenty of space for parking trucks, cars & boat trailers.

Inside the cottage on the main level is a fully equipped kitchen with several small appliances, 4 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, living room furniture, and a dining table. Also on the main level, is a workspace with desk, lamps for extra lighting, and outlets. Perfect for working remote!

We have Starlink internet available and included with this property! Soak up the sun and fresh air while working remotely or streaming your favorite TV shows. We are extremely excited about this feature!

The partially renovated walkout lower level is open concept. Board & batten walls, new flooring, kitchenette, and all new furniture. There is a full bathroom, a Full size sofa bed, sectional reclining sofa, and dining table. The full bathroom is recently renovated from the ground up! It's a work of art! A twin over twin daybed is also in the lower level for extra sleeping space. The kitchenette is complete with cabinets, sink, countertop, microwave & refrigerator. There is also a second smart TV and living room next to the walkout patio overlooking the lake. Laundry is also downstairs. This open concept area is the perfect recreational space for lounging, snacking, and hanging out with friends & family.

Baby gates, pack n' play, booster seat, children’s dishware and child safety locks for cabinets and outlets are available for use also. We are a family friendly rental having small children of our own.

Concrete steps lead down to a paved fire pit area beneath mature Red Pine trees. Located just above the dock where you can take in the sunset and enjoy time around the campfire with family and friends.

Wheeler Lake is a fully recreational lake during the hours of 11:00AM-6:00PM, with no-wake hours before and after. Fish include Panfish, Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye. The lake's water clarity is VERY CLEAR. A dock is installed with stairs leading right into the water. We have a dedicated swimming area with a sand bottom, and a separate area to tie up a boat or jet ski(s). The pier is 32' long from the boardwalk. A paddle boat is available for guest use, life jackets are provided. The whole area by the fire pit and dock is well lit at night with dock lights and a flood light. Basic water toys & beach towels are provided for guest use. Patio chairs are also provided. Parking is available for boat & jetski trailers behind the garage (across the road), and to the left-hand side.

A public beach is located across Wheeler Lake with a soft sand bottom and play area perfect for young children. If you own a boat or jet ski(s), there is a public boat launch in the bay of the lake as well.

Lakewood and the surrounding area boasts a vast trail system which can be accessed just a short drive from the cottage. This trail system is perfect for ATV/UTV, snowmobile, biking, hiking, horse and cross country skiing. Also worth noting is a 3 STORY candy & ice cream shop, an 18-hole golf course right off of HWY F, a local winery, large grocery store, a new Dollar General, and several bars and restaurants open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
