Overview
NEW beautifully decorated 2300 sq. ft. cabin on 1.6 acres just 6 miles north of restaurants and a brewery. Nestled in the Ouachita National Forest, cabin offers privacy with 2 king master suites, a loft with 2 queen/twin bunks, and 3 full baths. The downstairs deck has outdoor seating, dining, a grill, hot tub, fireplace, fire pit, cornhole and a playset. The upstairs deck has a great view, a bar, seating and foosball and game room with an old school arcade with over 500 games, pool/air hockey/ping pong table, and board games. Smart TVs in every room and plenty of parking. Firepit and playset on-site.

The Master Suites
Two Master Suites with ensuite baths boast king size beds, luxurious linens, beautiful furnishings, and custom robes. The ensuite baths feature double vanities, free-standing soaking tubs and walk-in showers.

The Great Room
A breathtaking view of the pines transports you as arrive at the cabin. Two sofas and a 55" inch TV invite you to curl up with a good book in front of the fire in the winter months or settle in for some great conversation with a cool beverage in the summer time.

The Kitchen
The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need in your home away from home from indoor and outdoor dishes to an inviting coffee bar to enjoy as you Awake in the Forest. With modern appliances and everything you need to prepare a delicious meal at your fingertips, you may never want to leave.

The Decks
Our cabin features over 1000 sq. ft. of upstairs and downstairs decking to enjoy the outdoors and endless views of the pines unobstructed by nearby cabins. Gather around the outdoor fireplace, enjoy an evening meal cooked on the grill after a game of corn hole, or wind down your evening after a hike by relaxing in the hot tub on the downstairs deck. Catch the game and enjoy a beverage at the bar on the upstairs deck.

The Game and Bunk Room
The game room boasts two sets of bunks with twin beds atop queen-size beds, a comfy sofa and a 55" TV, and a full bath with walk-in shower. Enjoy a game of pool, air hockey or ping pong on our 3-in-1 game table, or a game of Galaga, Street Fighters and the Simpsons on our retro arcade game with over 500 games. Board games are also available for your enjoyment.

The Firepit and Play Set
No trip to a cabin is complete without making s'mores over a fire pit. With seating for 8, relax while watching your children play the day away on the backyard play set.

Location
The cabin is located just minutes from ATV trails and a few miles from the scenic hiking trails in Beavers Bend State Park. Spend the day on Broken Bow Lake boating, jet skiing, tubing, swimming or fishing. Mountain Fork River offers great trout and bass fishing. Enjoy local restaurants, wineries and breweries before heading back to our cozy cabin.

We had an incredible get away. The cabin was exactly like the photos posted. It was modern chic, clean, and the amenities were enjoyable. Minor opportunity. The gaming options missed a few pieces and needed clear instructions. We would return in the future. This is a MUST visit!

I enjoyed the location, it was a little ways down from the hustle and bustle of the town, but still close enough to everything to make a quick trip. The cabin was beautiful and the lady I spoke with was very helpful and responsive.

This place was beautiful! Clean and spacious. We had a great time. Itā€™s around other cabins but surrounded by trees that make it feel secluded. Itā€™s just enough away from all the crazy! We appreciated all the essentials provided and all the amenities available to us. We even talked about coming back in the fall. Perfect spot to getaway for our big kids and the small one.

Vacay in the Pines

We enjoyed our stay in ā€œAwake in the Forestā€ . We enjoyed all of the amenities. We had lots of room for our 5 boys . Cabin was beautiful and clean . The Christmas tree was a nice touch to still have up when we arrived . This was our third trip to the area and we enjoyed our time !

Beautiful Cabin

My sister and I took our kids to stay for the weekend and the cabin is beautiful!! I love how the outside is set up with all the amenities in the same space. The kids enjoyed the playground. Also, the beds are super comfy and the bathrooms are gorgeous. I would definitely recommend!!

Amazing cabin

This cabin is one of the best we have stayed in! The amenities are great and spacious. The yard area is large with room for the kids to play, however, be aware of poison ivy (a lot) in the woods. Other than keeping a close eye to keep the kids out of the woods, the cabin is perfect. We didnā€™t mind the small drive into Hochatown. Will definitely stay again!

Family Cabin in Broken Bow Area

The cabin was wonderful and very clean. The upstairs was PERFECT for teens and children. The size and layout was perfect for our situation, grandparents and teens/kids. We had no issues with the property itself and loved the location and privacy. In considering this location, be warned the road to the cabin has HUGE potholes so if you drive a small car, this is not for you.

Wonderful Stay!

We had a fabulous stay at Awake in the Forest! The house looks exactly like the picture and had plenty of space for our family (husband, wife, two kids, and two grandparents). Everything we needed to enjoy our weekend was there and all the special touches were nice. The beds were incredibly comfortable and my husband fell in love with their pots/pans/cookware. The family favorites were easily the game table upstairs and the firepit where we made smores. 5 star stay across the board!

Friends travel trial

We had a variety of ages stay three nights.It was a great location and quiet I wish there were a few more details in closed and host said things tend to walk off. The upstairs games were all missing pieces. The kids still had a blast.

Great luxury cabin with all the amenities

Owner was very responsive and communicative when we had to reach out to them. Description of property and pictures were very accurate and thereā€™s so much space for our entire group. Just note that the top bunks are intended for children, so the bottom bunks will have to share depending on how many people you have. We brought an air mattress for a 3rd person sharing the bunk room and it worked out great.

Great getaway at a great property

Great property with lots of things to keep everyone entertained inside and out. We enjoyed a Christmas break here and did not need to leave the property as there was plenty to do including a good couple of runs and walks right from our doorstep. The heating is a little challenging due to the high ceilings which can mean the upstairs room is hotter than downstairs, not helped by the Texas weather being so changeable! But it did not distract from an overall enjoyable and recharging break for our family!

Perfect family getaway!

We stayed three nights in this beautiful home with two families, including four kids ranging from 11 months old to 8 years old. The house owners were open and available with communication. Check in and check out were clearly explained and very easy to follow. The backyard playground was perfect for the kiddos, and we all enjoyed backyard games, the hot tub, and of course, roasting sā€™mores on the fire. The house was beautifully furnished, and the mattresses were very comfortable! We cooked most of our meals at the house, and the kitchen was supplied with everything we needed. I highly recommend this property!!
