Location: Located steps from the gorgeous Wallowa Lake. One mile from the historical town of Joseph, OR.

View, view, view! This waterfront lake house is located directly on Wallowa Lake. Whether you are boating, fishing or water-skiing, this is your place. The house is nestled between the Eaglecap Wilderness and the Blue Mountains. Very private. Within a 10 minute drive, you have access to golf, skiing, shopping, art galleries, hiking trails and horseback riding!

Wallowa Lake has it all! The lake spans 4 miles of shoreline and is the home to trophy trout and the World Record size Kokanee Salmon! These pristine waters are glacier fed, an ideal environment for sportsmen and vacationers alike.

You can sit and enjoy your breakfast on the deck overlooking the lake or on the shade covered patio. The kitchen is fully remodeled and furnished.
The large master bedroom has large log queen bed. There are two bedrooms furnished with Queen and Full beds. The downstairs living area has panoramic windows with full view of Wallowa Lake and the moraine, with the Eagle Caps in the background. The house is two story and has stairs to access the second floor. Be advised that there are stairs leading down to the dock.

Bring your kayak, small boat or jet ski and leave it at our private boat dock! Our dock will available June 15. Please check with us on dock availability in the spring. Bring the family and enjoy Eastern Oregon. Truly a special place.

Beautiful, quiet and comfortable place to be, right on the lake! House had everything we needed. There are lots of stairs and rocks on the property for little kids but nearby beach made it easier for them to ease in the water. The view and coffee on the porch in the morning was the best.

Overall nice cabin. Bathroom was small but had the necessary fixtures. Alot of stairs but was not a huge issue for us as we are all active and in good health. We enjoyed the lake and having the dock to store the paddle boards when not in use.

Perfect Lake Getaway

The property was a great getaway that was more than adequate for my husband and I as well as the two other couples that stayed with us. The check in and checkout process was clear and easy, and the house was perfect for a relaxing few days at the lake. We will absolutely be staying here again.

We have stayed at the property 2 other times. They updated the bathroom shower which was a bonus. They replaced an uncomfortable bed and that was great! Could use some more kitchen cooking utensils,but that's just a suggestion.The only thing I would say is just a deep clean, my family is pretty laid back so we didn't really mind, just a few cobwebs, and the washing machine was really loud.aybe just needs a tune-upOverall we had a great time

Family get away

Great house right on the lake. Just a short drive to town and all the great things Joseph has to offer. Dock was great and a great place to play in the water. Fun place for our family of 3 and some friends to spend a long weekend.

Gorgeous view & location!

Our family had the best time!! Lake access for dock fishing, paddle boarding, & kayaking was a dream. The layout was great, everything we needed in the kitchen, the heated bathroom floor was a dream. Sitting on the back patio had the best view. So peaceful!! Just what we needed. We hope to go back soon! Narrow road and parking, but we didn’t have any big vehicles or trailers.

Gods Country

The property is a beautiful lakefront property. Easy accessibility to the water for jet skis, paddle boards, kayak's, fishing or swimming. The house is perfectly set up for a relaxing and family enjoyment. It is well stocked and clean. The owners are quick to respond to any questions. The town of Joesph has great places to eat and shop. The state park has all kinds of family activities and you should always take a trip up the Tram. Wonderful vacation and family time.

Summer fun! Fishing and more fishing🎣

This was a last minute getaway that did not disappoint! The location and views are incredible. We spent a long weekend enjoying all the comforts this home had to offer. The kitchen was well appointed with everything you might need, a large table for enjoying meals together, comfortable living area for late night movies after viewing the stars from the deck, comfortable beds to recharge. Days spent fishing and paddling around from the private dock…weekends like this fill your soul!

The property could use a good clean outside. There NO a/c in the house. It was pretty hot. Which made swimming in the lake wonderful. But bed time was hot. Lots of stairs. Not enough toiletries out for 3 night stay for the 6 of us.

Nice stay, but we left early.

Overall, this is a lovely cabin. Unfortunately, concrete stairs leading to the main entrance are crumbling and railings are less than stable. The layout is definitely less than ideal, considering the only bathroom is up a steep stairwell that I would not recommend for anyone who has mobility issues. Bedding was very comfortable and all slept well. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed for family meals. The neighbors are an elderly couple who seem nice but are very close and hinder privacy on an otherwise very private cove. The $250 cleaning fee was exorbitant, given the soiled bathroom wall. We ended up leaving a day early-it just wasn’t the level of privacy we wanted with active neighbors so close by.

We love Wallowa Lake!

This is the second time we've stayed at this house and it's very darling. I think they've done some updating and the style and furnishings are lovely. Of course the draw for us is the lake, we absolutely love it. And downtown Joseph feels like home to us. Unfortunately we lost power 4 or 5 times, which is no fault of the owners, but it was a big bummer. Someone in our family uses a cpap machine so his sleep was constantly being disturbed. And we had spent hundreds of dollars on food and we were worried it would spoil. Luckily the power came on before that happened. If I had any suggestions I would say to provide a fan for every bedroom and the living room. It was hot while we were there and with the bedrooms upstairs we all needed fans but there were only two provided. Thanks for letting us stay at your place!

Very misleading add

This is anything but a lovely home. The general appearance of the property was terrible. The home is scabbed together from every sale item and garage sale. The bathroom is the perfect example of this home. The tile shower rotted out so they glued a plastic corner shower in and left the other half of the rotten shower in place. The dock had no ramp so we had to crawl out on the bow of the boat and climb over rock to get to the home made ramp that is too steep. We talked to owner,no ramp the water is too high-what?everyone else was working. The stairs! No old people or physical problems here you won't make it. You can do better than this property!!!

We had a fun stay at this cabin with our family of five! The location is a big plus — tucked away on a quiet end of the lake but still close to town. The view from the main area was absolutely beautiful and the clean linens were appreciated. It had a cozy, rustic vibe.That said, there were a few areas that could use a little extra attention. When we arrived, there was an odd smell, and we discovered some food had been left behind in the fridge. Not a huge deal, just one of those things you hope not to run into. Overall, it looked like the cabin had been given a quick clean between guests but could really benefit from a deep clean both inside and out. The neighbors toileting area was mere feet from the bedrooms, that was a bit off putting! The dock worked fine for our needs, but the website photos need updated. Also, while we expected some spiders being at the lake, the amount of webs around the interior and exterior made it feel like maintenance could be stepped up a bit.Inside, we found some dishes weren’t fully clean, so we opted to use paper plates and plastic cutlery after day 1. Pro tip: bring sealed containers for your food — we had an unexpected house mouse help themselves before we could!A few quirks aside, we had a really good time overall. The cabin worked well for our family and had a lot of potential. With a good deep clean and a little extra care on the maintenance, it could be a fantastic getaway spot, and we would consider coming back.

Love this place.

I love this place. We had a little problem with the shower draining and the 1 bathroom is upstairs. We do love the place and location and the owner. She responded immediately after VRBO said I had no trips planned.

Lovely location but fell short of expectations.

Came to Lake Wallowa to hike and tent camp. Loved it so much here that we decided to splurge on a lakefront rental for a couple of days. Were pleased to find one available, albeit more expensive than we are accustomed to. But hey...it was right on the lake! Location is convenient to town as well as many hiking trailheads. First impression of the home was it is more of a traditional "lake cabin" vs the upscale home we had expected based upon the rental price. That being said, the view of the lake and Eastern rim of the glacial bowl was perfect. Owner/manager very responsive when we couldn't get wifi to work. Furniture, beds, bedding, appliances, etc. all good. Very quiet and peaceful at night. The major disappointment came from the fact that we had to clean before we could enjoy it! We were refused an early arrival due to necessary "cleaning " after departing guest, but we were met with nasty windows inside and out, dead bugs in window slides inside, deck covered in debris, spiders and webs prevalent inside home, dishes, cookware and utensils required washing, etc. Also some issues of deferred maintenance like electrical outlets that won't hold plugs, slider lock broken etc. Finally, it was lacking basic amenities usually supplied in our previous VRBO rental experience such as soap, shampoo, hair dryer, etc. With very little effort this rental could be really sweet. None of this amounted to our not enjoying our stay. However, these things could so easily be fixed rather than having this listing fall below expectations and resulting in disappointment.

Lovely little vacation home

We had a wonderful time staying right on the lake..!! We had a great time fishing and it was so nice to just dock the boat at the house..!! Loved the deck and patio. We used the treager and the tri-tip turned out great..!!. There are lots of stairs but it adds to the charm of the cabin feel. Thank you for the special touches, everything was so welcoming..!! We can’t wait to come back again next year..!!
