The location leaves much to do with less than an hour drive. The beds are listed as queen but are more likely full. They were comfortable but smaller than usual.

Everything was absolutely perfect! The owner thought of everything we would need for our stay. Lake view was beautiful and our family enjoyed the fire pit and back porch area. Location was close to Helen, Toccoa Falls and Lake Hartwell Wildlife Park for some quick road trips. We will be back!

Great location right on the water! Really enjoyed our time on the lake and the use of the kayaks. We visited the Toccoa falls and it really is a nice place to visit. Great communication with the owner and we will be back!

The host was gracious, welcoming and friendly. We were permitted, with permission, to check in a little early since we arrived before the allotted check in time. The amenities were very nice. Beautiful location on the lake. The bedrooms and the bathrooms were really tight. Not a lot of space to put your clothes which just made it a little difficult to settle in. I was really a bit anxious when I saw what was behind the couch. My granddaughter was with us and she was playing on the floor so I didn’t like seeing that.

We found this property for our stay in Martin and couldn't have been happier. The house is exactly as advertised and the owners were quick to respond if we had any questions. The lake views did not disappoint! We will certainly book this one again if we are back in the area.

Quiet Escape

Our quiet escape to the cabin on the lake was just what the family needed. The owners have all their bases covered to ensure that holiday makers have everything they could possibly need to make their stay comfortable! Our stay was most enjoyable.

Camp fires, S’mores, and swimming

The house was clean, well stocked with all the things we needed for our stay. The adults loved the coffee bar and the kids loved the S’mores kit and snacks that waiting on the table when we arrived.

Mid 4th of July week Vacation!

We Loved the cozy lakehouse so much! Especially the screened in porch overlooking the lake! We enjoyed the kayaks that were included. The host was awesome! We will be back without a doubt!

Cottage on Hartwell Lake

The cottage was completely stocked with everything anyone could ask for when staying next to a lake. The decor gave you the vacation vibe, the beds were comfortable and the screened in porch was relaxing to read in and just enjoy the view. Melinda was very accomodating to our needs.

Wonderful Place to Stay and Wonderful Owners!!!

From the time we arrived until the time we had to leave Melinda & Jonny made everything about our stay here just absolutely amazing. Their personal touch to the house and the property and from the time you walk in the door you feel like home. Melinda has paid attention to every detail. WE LOVE THIS PLACE!!

Great Place

We loved this property. It was immaculate and had everything you could ever need! The only drawback for us…my husband is handicapped and in a mobility device. The door frames are very narrow and he could not access the bathrooms. Bedrooms were a tight squeeze as well.

Fry Family Christmas 2024

Everything from the communication with the owner to the check out process was great! As soon as we arrived we were able to make ourselves at home thanks to Melinda’s texts! The house was so comfortable and cozy. Plenty of sleeping space as well as lounging area. All 7 of us were able to hang out together in the living room and were able to all sit at the dining table to have our meals! My two favorite things about this house were the awesome coffee bar and the huge screened back porch. Loved it!!

Perfect hidden gem!

This is the perfect house to get lost in. It is hidden in a quaint town of Martin and it’s beautifully positioned on a lake with spectacular views. This house was so cozy and the host Melinda provided all of the necessities you could ask for and more! From the laundry soap to the s’mores box for the kiddos this rental has it all! If you are looking for a family getaway with ample space and activities right at your fingertips this is the lake house for you! We will definitely be back and we hope to rent in the future from Melinda again she is an amazing host!

Great stay!

Such a great house and owner has thought of everything to make your stay amazing - games to s’mores supplies! Coffee bar and also plenty of dishes and linens. Even beach towels! Loved the firepit area and also kayaking and the swing chairs on the ground floor. Didn’t get to try the paddle boards but they even had those !! Super clean and tidy and cute decor! Loved the screen porch. We had a blast. Only down side it’s across from a boat launch site and there was definitely some noise in the evenings of people putting in or taking out boats- but the sunset views made up for it. 🌅

Fantastic Lake House and Property!

A+++ This is a great place to enjoy Lake Hartwell. The house is meticulously appointed with everything you will need. It has lots of places for everyone to relax. Outside porch is great for lounging with a lake view. Lots of water toys are included. The waterfront has a great view of the Savannah River and a nice beach entrance for swimming and launching. We brought our Sea Doo and eFoils. A boat dock is provided. The water depth is surprisingly deep even with the water level low. The owner is a gem. Very solicitous and helpful. Great communication! Thank you for sharing your wonderful beach house with us!
