Welcome to The Boat House at Lake Hartwell!

- Brand new pontoon boat available for rent at the homes private dock! Skip the hassle and prices of local rental offices. Cheapest and most convenient rental on the lake.

- 3 kayaks. Paddle away!

- Towable tube for boat.

- Foosball and Ping Pong Table.

- Fire pit with 6 Chairs.

- Large backyard for the kids and pets to play.

- Quite deep water cove just off of the large open water. We are surrounded by big beautiful trees and very flat lot.

- Several boat up restaurants/bars and marinas, the closest being Tilly's, a 10 minute boat ride away. You will find just about anything you need within 15 minutes of the house.

- Conveniently located 10 minutes from I-85.

- Tugaloo State Park, free with a National Parks Pass.

- 2 boat ramps only a minute or two from the property if you prefer to bring your own boat.

- Off the main floors is the deck with grill and large screened in porch with grill, TV, and living space.

- Crib for youngsters.

- Floaties, tubes, and noodles for the kids.

-Please be advised we have security cameras in use covering the boat and dock area, drive way, and backyard.

Ramsey/Hamlin Summer 2025

Four adults, 2 teens, 10 and 5 year old. The house was perfect for us. Lots of room. Well equipped. We did a lot of cooking. Played lots of ping pong. Spent days on the fabulous screened in porch watching soccer. We loved our day with the boat. Quiet part of the Lake. It was great!

Refreshing peaceful stay

We had a lovely stay here with my small family. My two boys and hubby and I all took turns kayaking around the safe little cove by the house. It was very quiet, hardly heard any neighbors, and very peaceful. We used the fire pit to make hot dogs and smores several of the evenings. Our family also used the foosball and ping pong tables. We would definitely stay here again!

Property was just as advertised with no surprises....that in itself is a big plus! Caroline was always quick to answer any questions or concerns we had although there were few. The bedtooms and bathrooms were clean and well set up. The pontoon boat was used for 3 days during our stay and was plenty big enough to accomodate our group of 7 adults and 2 children. Lake Hartwell is a large, beautiful lake and the inflatable, two-person chair on the premises was towed behind the boat every day we used it. The kids, and even adults had a blast with it. Overall, everyone enjoyed our stay and I highly recommend the house for anyone with a large group.

Great Lake House

We had a great weekend. The house location was perfect, and the boat rental made our stay even better. The fire pit was a great way to end one night of our stay and watching movies inside rounded it off nicely.

Wonderful place

We loved our stay at The Boathouse. It fit our family’s needs and wishes! The host was very attentive to communications and quick to respond to remedy any need. Very peaceful neighborhood. The boat rental was a plus! The lake is beautiful!

Loved the lake!

The lake house was just as advertised. Communication with our host was great, easy check-in, comfortable home and the pontoon boat was a bonus!! We loved the 2 days we rented the boat, pulling our grandsons on the raft and then leisurely evening rides too. Thanks for a great family vacation week!

Great House on Northwestern part of Lake Hartwell

Great sleeping arrangement. Kids loved the bunk room. Well stocked house. Great Dock. Owner has a Pontoon boat that is available for rent, if you desire.

Quick family getaway

Great home to just relax and float around the lake. We spent 4 nights at the home, rented the pontoon that is available on the property and just enjoyed some much needed family time.. The home was well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay safe and comfortable. It seems a lot of the homes that are available on the lake have very steep walks down to the lake. This home offered a doable walk for our aging parents so they could be apart of all the activities. The T.V. on the screened porch was a welcome addition for movie night.. It was great stay and we are already discussing when we can go back..

Lake house rental

We enjoyed our stay over the Thanksgiving weekend. A nice get together for our family. More room than expected. The kids enjoyed fishing and the dogs had plenty of areas to play. Everyone was comfortable but my husband and I had the king bed upstairs and found it could use extra padding. Really enjoyed the back porch with the tv. Highly recommend this for large family and would consider it again. Thanks

So peaceful and relaxing!

We escaped Atlanta for a few days and the most relaxing and peaceful stay at the Boathouse. It’s a beautiful spot on the lake which we could enjoy from both inside the house and outside. We especially enjoyed boating, kayaking and fishing off the dock. Caroline is a wonderful host, super responsive and welcoming. There are many extra touches like extra towels, and coffee extras that add to the hospitality.

Peace and Quiet at the Lake House

Beautiful home with all the amenities and a great view. The host was very quick to respond and very accommodating. We also rented the 2023 pontoon boat located at the home enjoyed our time on the lake. The fire pit is in a perfect location to enjoy the backyard and to see all the stars. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are friendly. The houses was great for two couples and a dog. This a first time visit, but we all agreed we will be back.

Great Family Getaway!

My first comment would have to be that this property owner's communication is crazy fast. Very responsive, very helpful. When we arrived, one of the kayak paddles was missing and Caroline immediately ordered a replacement to be shipped out AND offered to reimburse me if I wanted to go and buy one sooner before it arrived. The property is a great family location on a sleepy cove of Lake Hartwell and was a great fall getaway for us. We rented the boat, and it was honestly amazing to be able to use such a new/clean/nice boat for such a reasonable amount. Would highly recommend.

Love the ‘Lake House’

Our family enjoyed a weekend getaway at the lake house. The house was clean, updated and had all of the amenities we needed for cooking, relaxing, playing games and enjoying the lake! We rented the on-site pontoon, which was so convenient. The pontoon was perfect for our family of 6, and the teens especially enjoyed riding behind on the provided AirHead tube. The boys enjoyed swimming and fishing from the dock as well. The outdoor fire-pit area is terrific with gorgeous lake views. The house is conveniently located to lake access and close to the Harbor Lights Marina for refueling. Don was a terrific host, communicated well and was so welcoming and friendly. We felt right at home. We will definitely be visiting the lake house again and again!

Escaped aftermath of Helene in NC for 1 wk.

If i can edit this at a later date, i will. I am reviewing from a hotspot on my phone. We still have no internet/wifi - 2 + wks after storm. Great communication from host! She allowed us to move our dates up by a day, since we could not get out due to road closed by mud sides, flood and trees down.. Enjoyed stay. Rented pontoon boat. The house had a few issues related to storm, but these were relayed to host. Example: strong smell of fireplace in house; water must have gotten in. Screened in porch a plus! Apologize for errors, difficult to to do this on phone. wks

My father and two sisters purchased this house with me to have a relaxing place where we can all meet a couple times a year. This is our first rental property so please let us know how we are doing. Do you yourself a favor and rent our boat for a day to explore all Lake Hartwell has to offer. It is a beautiful lake with lots to offer. We hope you enjoy the house and lake as much as we do. The lake offers several boat up restaurants/bars and marinas, the closest being Tilly's, a 10 minute boat ride away. You will find just about anything you need within 15 minutes of the house. Just to the south is the Tugaloo State Park, free with a National Parks Pass. There are also 2 boat ramps only a minute or two from the property if you prefer to bring your own boat. I-85 is conveniently located 10 minutes south for easy access to the neighborhood.
