Remember the simple pleasures of walking barefoot on a wide, crystal-white sand shoreline and floating carefree in the warm tranquil gulf water, or reclining in your lounger while listening to the seagulls and watching the dolphins glide by just off-shore? After toasting an amazing crimson sunset, the gathered wood is coaxed into a welcoming roaring bonfire that invites you to roast marshmallows, chill, and prepare your expectations for another great day.

If you are dreaming of again enjoying those endless lazy days relaxing on an expansive, uncrowded, pristine sugar-white sand beach, then you are dreaming of a Moonshadow vacation!

Moonshadow Beach House is a freshly remodeled, three-bedroom, three-bathroom jewel-box of a gulf-front vacation house, with all the amenities you expect and deserve to fulfill your beach getaway dream.

The kitchen is all new with high-end stainless appliances, solid surface counters, and cherry cabinets. All three bedrooms have brand new luxurious king-sized beds and flat screen Smart TVs with blu-ray DVD players. En Suite bathrooms (one with walk in shower and the other with a shower/tub combo) complement two master bedrooms, and the third bedroom shares a hall guest bath that features a walk in shower.

The spacious family room features beautiful waterfront vistas as well as a 60" Smart TV when you are in the mood to watch movies or play games.

Outside on our deck, a gas BBQ is ready to grill your meal to perfection while you lounge in the nearby hammock.

There is carport parking under the house as well as generous space to store your watercraft. There is a large storage room containing chairs, floaties and other toys to ensure that you fully enjoy the beach, as well as a cart to carry your possessions to the welcoming white sands.

Upon your return, there is a convenient, private outdoor shower to rinse off before you go inside. If you still want to catch some rays, there is a large 8' x 30' deck off the family room and a screened porch ideal for vegging out.

The Moonshadow Beach House is ready to welcome you back to the beach, and help you realize your dream vacation!

Located in a small, quiet neighborhood, there is no access to the ground level of the house. Otherwise, the whole house is yours.

Excellent location close to the beach with boardwalk access right in front of the house. Nicely stocked kitchen and spacious bedrooms with multiple bathrooms. Perfectly responsive host, no problems whatsoever. Easy check in and great communications. Highly recommended overall on all fronts.

The stay was great. There was an issue with the WiFi but it was fixed before we left. Beach access was great and loved that there was not many people around us. Great location to get to town quickly or get to the cape quickly. I will defiantly stay here again.

Property is in a great location, very close to the beach, and close to town. The house is very spacious and has lots of parking. There are some minor things that need updating and some TLC but nothing that would prevent me from renting again. The owners respond very quickly and are very pleasant. There are some bugs at night mainly because of the wooded area close by. The beach wasn’t the best this trip, water was dirty and the beach was very shallow but that’s the way the cape is.

Our stay at Moonshadow Beach House was wonderful! This home’s layout is perfect for both privacy (3 big bedrooms) & hanging out, with lots of space in living room, screen porch & deck. The kitchen is well-stocked, & the beds are super comfortable. The location is excellent, right by short boardwalk to quiet beach. We brought our black lab, & enjoyed many relaxing walks with him. Management team was great & made our visit easy! Thank you Chris!

What a perfect location with its own walk to the water! Nice open kitchen/living/dining space- great for family time. We definitely utilized beach wagon and chairs-very handy closet with outdoor beach goodies.

Idyllic beach vacation

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The house was clean, comfortable, and decorated with a relaxed coastal feel that made us feel right at home. Best of all it's pet-friendly, which meant our dog could enjoy the vacation with us, and he loved every minute of it!The location is unbeatable. Just a short walk to a quiet, uncrowded beach where we spent our days soaking up the sun, swimming, and taking long walks along the shore with our pup. The deck was the perfect place to relax in the evenings and watch the sunset. It was truly peaceful and private. The home had everything we needed, a well-equipped kitchen, , strong Wi-Fi, and thoughtful touches throughout including treats for dogs. The quiet neighborhood made for easy, worry free walks. The hosts were responsive and welcoming, and we appreciated the clear communication before and during our stay. If you're looking for a relaxing beach escape that includes your furry family member, this is the place. We can't wait to come back!

Great place to share with friends

This is a modest but very pleasant property with three bedrooms and three baths. We shared it among three couples and we were all comfortable with our own bath and bedroom (though one has bath across the hall. The kitchen, living, anddining areas as well as the porch were all comfortable for all of us to enjoy together and the beach is just a short walk away on the private boardwalk.It's not as big or fancy as a lot of the newer places that have been built recently but for the price it is very nice and I highly recommend it for a few couples to share or a family with two or three children.

We enjoyed our stay - the location was excellent. There was a strong mildew smell in the house, and the outdoor furniture was not usable at all - totally waterlogged and covered in mildew. Fortunately the views are wonderful even from inside with the doors open, but having usable outdoor furniture would have made the experience that much better.

Forgotten Coast Vacation

The beach home is beautifully situated on the Gulf side of Cape San Blas. We felt at home as soon as we walked in the door. Chris and Sue are wonderful hostesses. Thank you for opening your beautiful home to us for our first time vacationing in Cape San Blas.

Great time was had by all

The property was very clean and accommodated us very comfortably. The walk to the beach is just off the side of the house down a boardwalk, great location and easy access. The only thing that was a bit of nuisance is that the trash cans are at the end of the lane by the main road, so we had to walk about a block to drop it off or drive it over to the trash cans. But, only a small price to pay for such a lovely and quiet place. The beds were also very comfortable which is a huge plus in my book.

36th Anniversary Vacation

Chris was great and communicated quickly whenever we had a question. Great location and only a small walk to the beach from a private boardwalk. Cape San Blas never disappoints. Highly recommend staying at this beach house. Spacious and kitchen is equipped with whatever you need.

Perfect Winter Beach Weekend

We spent four nights at Moonshadow and it was simply perfect. The house itself is exactly what you want from a beach house - cozy with a great porch (with a view of the ocean) and screened in porch. The kitchen is well equipped and the living area is so comfortable. The real star of this property is the semi private boardwalk out to the beach. You could not ask for better access. In addition to the property itself, the owners and local managers are beyond kind and responsive. We brought our 11 year old rescue dog down to the beach for the first time and they went out of their way to make it special for all of us. We have stayed at many VRBOs in the past, but none with hospitality like Moonshadow. I cannot recommend this house enough!

I highly recommend staying in this house, it is very clean and located in a very quiet community. The interior and appliances are all up to date.The kitchen was well stocked with needed pots, pans, dishes, etc. The beds were very comfortable. I also loved sitting on the deck and peeking through the pine trees at the ocean view in the distance. It is just a short walk on the boardwalk to the beach. I plan to stay in this house again in the future. I loved the fact that our fur babies could join us and could actually go out on the beach. The owner, Chris, was very friendly and easy to work with. He was always punctual with replying to emails, etc. The beach in this area was so beautiful and not crowded at all. The water is not a crystal clear blue like other beaches but that was not an issue at all. I was told by one of the locals it is because nearby river flows into the ocean causing the water to look darker. This house is also a short beach front drive by golf cart or car to this beautiful reserve (not sure of the name of it) with amazing wildlife. I also loved the nearby quaint town of Port Saint Joe. They have lots of shops, some good restaurants and even a lighthouse to tour.

Great Getaway

The property is fantastic, check in was easy, the beach access is superb. Large space inside and out. Beach toys, cart and chair access was an amazing plus. Some reported provided items were missing, but communication with owner was easy and he resolved the problem immediately.

Perfect location

The location is perfect. It has a gulf view and it’s as close to the water as you can get on this part of the cape. The place was well stocked. We had no problems checking in. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful experience. The location and layout of the house was perfect. Communication was easy and all questions were answered quickly. There were even cute supply baskets set up for dog treats and any forgotten toiletries. We will be back!

First visit to Cape San Blas (February)

The property and the location were perfect for our needs. My husband, myself and our young dog enjoyed the pet friendly beach. Nice short walk allowed for multiple visits. Everyone we met was friendly and had an understanding of how to introduce dogs properly, very helpful for a young dog still learning her manners. Bring your bikes because there is both a paved path for riding plus the beach is firm enough for hybrid bike tires or larger. Nice! A quiet relaxing place. The house had 3 good size bedrooms each with king beds. It was nice to visit a property that has decent size couches for people to relax. So many places have one couch and then chairs. How do you nap/watch a movie in a chair?! You should have as much seating as you do bed space and this house had it. Nice view from the deck too. The owners provided start up supplies for dish washing, laundry, coffee, and bathroom items you might forget (or to save you from having to shop the first day). Very thoughtful. Quick responses to any questions we had. We plan to return.

Very good time had by all

Enjoyed staying at this very nice house with great access to beach. lovely area with great restaurants and fun things to do close by. State Park is not entirely open but still fun to visit. Fishing not so good because of high winds, but that has nothing to do with the house. Hope to return next year.
