Bright, modern 3BR loft in the heart of town. Sleeps 4 adults & 2 kids. This unique space, a former physician`s office, features a dedicated office nook for `flexcations`, skylights, and a library. A true walker`s paradise with the rare amenity of two dedicated parking spaces. Explore bakeries, breweries, and Bar Island just steps from your door.

Welcome to the Physician`s Loft, a bright and modern second-floor apartment blending unique history with clean, comfortable design. Filled with natural light from large windows and skylights, this former physician`s office offers a quirky and charming layout. The dining room occupies the original waiting area, and the bedrooms were once exam rooms!

Perfect for a vacation or a working `flexcation` any time of year, the loft offers:
* A comfortable living room for relaxation.
* A dedicated office nook for productivity.
* A library nook for quiet reading.
* A fully-equipped kitchen.
* One full bathroom and one half-bathroom.
* Entertainment including books, games, TV, and WiFi.

Sleeping arrangements comfortably accommodate up to 4 adults and 2 children:
* Bedroom 1: Queen Bed
* Bedroom 2: Queen Bed
* Bedroom 3: Cozy bunk bed room, ideal for children.

Guests will have private and exclusive access to the entire second-floor apartment. Your rental includes two dedicated off-street parking spaces, a rare and valuable amenity in town that makes coming and going a breeze.

This property is professionally managed by Rugosa Rentals. While we respect your privacy, our team is available to assist you with any needs or questions that may arise during your stay to ensure a comfortable and seamless experience.

* This is a second-floor apartment and requires guests to climb a flight of stairs for access.
* The Physician`s Loft is the upstairs unit of a two-unit building. Another vacation rental, `Physician`s Flat,` is located on the first floor.

Great stay for family with young kids

The location of this property is perfect! Easy walk to most places and a short drive to Acadia! The host did an amazing job making you feel taken care of and giving a ton of local insider information. I would stay again.

Dream Bar Harbor Location

Physician’s Loft does not disappoint! The flat has all the amenities that we could ever want. It is also very stylish and comfortable. Loved staying right in Bar Harbor so we could walk to anything. Didn’t realize there was a second bathroom until end of stay but what a bonus! A lot of thought was put into this place and we really appreciated it.

One of, if not, the best family (2 adults, 2 kids 11 year olds) vacation. So much to do within walking distance. Perfect location. Condo was clean and perfect sized for our family. Highly recommend!

Great property that couldn’t be closer to downtown Bar Harbor. We barely had to move our car during the whole stay but when we did, it was nice to know we had a dedicated parking space waiting for us. The hosts also left a great guide book with recommendations/insider tips that helped us make the most of our time during the stay.

Wonderful Acadia

The loft was great for a small group (3-4). Can’t beat the location. Walkable Bar Harbor - close to restaurants, grocery store, Bar Island trail, Bar Harbor shore path. Easy access to Acadia hikes and carriage road trails. Great spot.

Really nice, close to everything, a little cold, but fun. We ate out alot, thirsty whales had best clam chowder, grocery store was close. Definitely would go back. My favorite was fiore

BHB with parking

The Physician's Loft was a great home base for our adventuring on Mount Desert Island. We were there off-season, so the town and the park were delightfully quiet. The off-street parking, responsive hosts, and clean + comfortable accommodations were perfect!

Fall vacay

The physicians loft was a great location and clean. They thought of all the extras and details that you might want or need! I would recommend this vrbo to anyone. You do have to climb a flight of stairs when enter the building to get to the living space if that is an issue for any travelers. The only con I have to say is the bedrooms were not big enough to place our large suitcase in the floor in our room.

Perfect Spot for Bar Harbor Stay

Physician’s Loft Condo was a perfect, comfortable apartment for our Bar Harbor stay. Very well appointed kitchen, and a sweet, thoughtful surprise basket of Maine-made goodies. Beds comfortable, with nice linens. Lots of games for families/kids to play if you are inclined! Location is great, right in the middle of town and walkable to excellent coffee shops/bakeries and restaurants and shops and the town’s best grocery. Owners respond very quickly to queries. Thank you!

Family Vacation

We were looking for a home base for a family that includes some who love all sorts of outdoor activities and some who prefer a relaxed pace with some shopping and great meals to spice things up. The Physician's Loft was a good option for us. We loved the proximity to everything in Bar Harbor and easily managed to do the things we wanted to do. We barely used our rental care since we could walk everywhere and the Island Explorer bus provided readily available transportation to Acadia National Park.

Amazing Stay in Bar Harbor

This is one of the BEST places we stayed while on vacation ever! Within a short walk to so my wonderful restaurants and a short, easy drive to Acadia National Park. Two off-street parking spaces are a great bonus, especially given how hard it can be at times to find parking in town. Desiree was wonderful answering all of my questions in advance of our stay and the the place was well-appointed for our small group. Can't say enough great things about our stay here!

Beautiful loft

The Physicians loft is a beautiful apartment. close to town - a short walk to restaurants, shopping, the harbor, and grocery store- and so convenient to Acadia NP. The apartment had everything we needed, and the owners were very responsive when we had questions. Would definitely recommend!

Relaxing Home Away from Home

We loved The Loft and hated to leave. It immediately felt like home. We slept so comfortably and were able to come and go during our week with ease. The location is ideal, and the hosts made sure we knew all the best spots to go. We were able to spend so much time in Acadia but still see the best of Bar Harbor. Loved the skylights! Super clean and easy to entertain ourselves in the evening. Puzzles. Books. And now, I am into Tangles! They thought of everything--and it would be excellent with little kids too. We'll be back.

Great home base!

We really enjoyed our girls getaway and stay at the 'Physician's loft'. The location is perfect for exploring Bar Harbor. We were able to enjoy near by Acadia National park during the day, return 'home', freshen up and head out on the town for dinner and drinks. Renee was a wonderful attentive host.

Best of Bar Harbor

Property has a wonderful location that allows for the easy exploring of downtown just off the doorstep. Decor was modern, inviting and allowed for some comfortable areas to disconnect, read, or recharge. Had all the kitchen essentials to dine at home, as we tend to like this option during multi-night stays. Would have preferred two full baths, but otherwise this space was just perfect!
