Get lost in the mountains while only being minutes from town! This adorable 2 BR/2 BA cabin has all of the feelings that you are in a treehouse and that you are lost in nature with pure relaxation while having all of the modern conveniences only about 3 miles down the road.

Lovely wooded property with 5 acres, bordering forest service and plenty of room for exploration, and a short 10-minute mountain walk through the forest to the lovely Nottley river. Only 5 minutes from Historic Downtown Murphy and the Harrah's Valley River Casino.

We had a wonderful stay! The property was beautiful, spotless, and offered a peaceful, private atmosphere. It was stocked with everything we could possibly need, and more, which made it feel like a true home away from home. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for our arrival. Treehouse Cabin

Beautiful cabin! Cabin was well stocked and spotless!! Path to the lake was so beautiful and peaceful! The hosts are so friendly and welcoming! Highly recommend this place!

This cabin in the woods feels like being wrapped in a warm blanket. It was very comfortable. After being out during the day it was nice to come back to a welcoming cabin where you could relax, make dinner and watch a movie. You are surrounded by trees while only being 3 miles from town. Comfortable bed and plenty of towels provided.Our hosts were very helpful when needed. One note, while it is a short ten-minute walk to the lake, it is very steep, which might not work for all.

Everything was great. The only negative for us specifically on this property was that we were towing a motorcycle with a trailer and there was no turnaround area. It was also at the end of a dead-end road. Eric and Zoe even had that covered - they offered us the option to unload and park the trailer at another location of theirs close by. Our rental was very private, secluded, clean, stocked with literally everything you could possibly need, and one of the few that advertise as pet friendly and actually allows cats. (Most pet friendly locations are dogs only). Eric and Zoe checked in on us a couple of times just to be sure all was going OK and they even had a dozen fresh eggs from their farm as a complimentary welcome. Their price was very competitive for what you get, highly recommended, definitely will be back!

What a wonderful mountain getaway and secluded Murphy North Carolina

We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend with the dogs watching nature and the leaves change. We even took a hike to see the lake/ River located right off the property. It was a very rejuvenating stay and would absolutely stay there again!

Nice Cabin

This cabin is in a nice location, perfect for taking short hikes to the lake with your kids and dogs. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Perfect Vacation

This house was everything we needed and more. The owners were so nice, responsive, and hospitable during our stay. The house is secluded enough to be private but close enough to town that you dont feel isolated. The house was also superbly clean and the eggs and pup treats were a very sweet gesture. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were well stocked with extra towels. We vacation in Murphy a lot because we enjoy the lake so we will definitely be back. If you travel with your fur baby you will be glad you booked this house. The porch is gated and there is a pet relief area so you can take them out at night without worry. We have stayed in many homes over the years but this one checked all our boxes and exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend booking this house.

Quick trip to Murphy

This was an amazing place to stay. Very clean, had everything you needed plus more. The Hosts were amazing and we will be returning when we just need to relax. Our dogs enjoyed lounging on the wrap-around patio and loved taking the short walk to the lake.

If anybody is looking for the perfect place to hace family time, get away to the woods and have tons of fun, don't think twice, here is your place! The property was simply amazing. Everything you possibly need is available and the hosts were great!

Long weekend get away in Murphy, NC.

Property was as described and then some. When we arrived snacks and wine were waiting. Kitchen lacks for nothing. Plenty of space in bedrooms, kitchen and living room. Wrap around deck was outstanding with a table to eat outside after cooking on a fully equipped Blackstone grill. Had one question, host responded very quickly. Murphy is a quaint mountain town with a river walk, downtown and local shops. Plenty of hiking nearby. Love our time at this cabin.

Great cabin in the woods

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cabin in the woods. the walk to the lake was enjoyable and we even saw a pair of bald eagles soaring above the water. Lovely, quiet place. Very dog friendly. The hosts thought of everything! It's a really great place. We would stay here again.

BEAUTIFUL CABIN

We spent our Thanksgiving in Murphy and this cabin is rated an 11 out of a 1 to 10! The cabin was decorated for Christmas and it was beautiful and cozy and SOOOOO CLEAN!!! The hosts was wonderful too. If you're contemplating renting this cabin, stop it! Book it!!! You will not be disappointed!

Zoe and Eric Schechter enjoy outdoor sports and are avid motorcyclists that have been vacationing in this area for many years and became full-time residents in 2015 when they purchased the adjacent property and made it their forever home. Zoe was born in England and raised just outside of London while vacationing in Florida in 2008 met Eric and they married in 2010 in Florida where Eric had lived for 20 years.

They live with their 9 dogs, 2 cats, chickens, and 7 motorcycles, and enjoy gardening, and hosting guests.. In June of 2019, they purchased this property with the desire to operate a vacation cabin that provides an exceptional 5- star experience for their guests and where they can share their love for the mountains. We are less than 5 minutes from town, yet very secluded in the mountains! Zoe and Eric are proud Cherokee County Firefighters and on the State Wilderness Search and Rescue Team. We are mountain, pet, and motorcycle obsessed!
