Unique, authentic, exquisite waterfront cottage with a dock.

A unique piece of paradise in North Bimini, “Ernie’s” (named for Ernest Hemingway, who frequented Bimini and found inspiration here for his sea-faring tales) villa has three big comfortable bedrooms, a large open bright living space, and a full open kitchen for big dinner parties, nestled in a lush half-acre enclave. Enjoy our deck right on the water with a full-size grill. The property has 100 feet of waterfront and a large dock. Includes tie-up for a boat up to about 40 feet; low tide about 40". No canals, no condos. Ernie’s offers an authentic Bimini-island experience outside the resort and the condos, without sacrificing creature comforts and style. A private, gated property steps away from a friendly local community with great restaurants, bars, and stores. If you want a larger gathering with family or friends, we have two other cottages close by on our property (#2875346 and # 2881517). A quick cart ride south to Radio Beach and the attractions of Alice Town. And a quicker cart ride north to the restaurants, casino, and other offerings of Resort World and the Hilton. Enjoy our yoga mats - a great way to start the day watching the sunrise. Starlink high-speed WIFI for Netflix (or checking in at work, if you must). Swim/snorkel right out front. Spectacular sunrises, sunsets, and rising moons are at your doorstep!

Cannot possibly rate highly enough

As nice as the house looks online, it is much better once you're there. The house is very nice, the view, the water, the location send it over the top. Also the host rep Shequira took very good care of us, and was a pleasure to deal with. We look forward to staying there again in the future. No doubt 5/5 across the board.

Amazing Trip!!!!!

We had a great trip. It was our first time in bimini. The house was perfectly clean and came with everything we needed for the week. Awesome outdoor spaces to relax. Wonderful dock for parking the boat, with a great space for swimming and fishing too. Joe the owner was super helpful, very kind and responsive to questions. We are looking forward to returning soon!!!!

Game Changer

We have stayed on S. Bimini for the last 2 years and thought “what could be better than this”. Well, we found it at Ernie’s Cottage. The view was gorgeous, watching the boats go by, the breeze, watching the kids play in the water off the dock…and much more, were all factors in exceeding my expectations. The house if spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable. We had a large crew and made it work. (I checked with Joe on this first) The absolute best part was that we could sit outside and enjoy the mornings and evenings with NO BUGS. It was absolutely amazing! Hope to stay at Ernie’s again next year!

SO much better than expected!!!

Our expectations were on the good side, but from the time we stepped inside, good went to HOLY COW!!! This place was the PREFECT place for us! Location was central to everything, the recommendations for places to eat, things to do and ways to enjoy the island set things over the top! We had our own dock that we fished off of and caught some great fish, saw AMAZING sea creatures like sea stars, stingrays, conch, squid, hermit crabs and one night we saw a GIANT Spotted Eagle Ray that must have been 7 feet long! We had everything we needed to cook meals and the rooms were very comfy. We ate meals outside and inside and both were very comfortable. We made friends with a little Potcake (island dog) who was apparently named "Hot Skull". He looks to be a Beagle/Pit mix who is SOOOOO sweet! He would come by every day and visit us, lounge on the sand and we would sit and pet him. He is a VERY sweet dog! It was sad to say goodbye to him. Overall, this place is a spot we would return to time and time again! Close to shops, groceries, places to eat and everything! We feel so blessed to have found this spot and will come back!! Thanks for being AWESOME HOSTS!!! If you are lucky enough to book this place, you will love it! (and if you do, please pet Hot Skull for us!)

Beautiful property in paradise with all you need and amazing hosts!

There aren’t enough words to describe how perfect this home, the owners, and the property manager are! At the time of booking you are greeted with a message from the property owner providing you with detailed information about the property, location, local activities and restaurants, and contact information for the property manager and others that may be able to assist you during your stay. Upon arrival, you pull into a perfectly manicured, secluded lot that is surrounded by a privacy fence and hosts three cottages and a laundry building. We stayed at Ernie’s Cottage. When you walk into the cottage, your breath is immediately stolen by the open view at the back of the house overlooking the ocean. The water is just steps from the back of the house and is crystal clear. During our stay we say many fish, a starfish, and even stingrays just off the dock! The home has been tastefully remodeled with updated light fixtures, bathrooms, flooring, furniture, and appliances. It has all of the convenience of home, including a Keurig (full pot and pods - it does both), large gas grill, small wood grill, BLENDER, oven, microwave, remote controlled ceiling fan and lights, Amazon fire stick TV, dual head showers, wine glasses, cookware & dishes, and soft, comfortable bedding (just to make a few). The property has everything you need and want in a home away from home. Thank you so much to Joe, Karen, Shaquira and Mark for the beautiful property and amazing stay! ❤️

Amazing place for family or group vacation. The house is clean and recently updated, lots of space, great kitchen with everything you need to cook. We loved to swim in the bay and got lucky to see stingrays, sharks and lots of fish. Joe was very helpful and always ready to answer any questions

Really good spot for boaters. Instructions from host for the channel and how to acess was on point. Beds were comfy and sheets smelled amazing. Great views

Location was great. Sandbar protected dock and boat from most waves. House was clean and had all the needed amenities. We went 2 for 4 on blue marlin.

The washer did work we planned on using the washer and dryer as listed in the add. Come to find out it did not work. There was no water for a few hours on the morning of the 3rd, it was an Island outage. Other than that it is a decent location. I would recommend updating the AC unit in the master bedroom and possibly a TV in the rooms.

Not a bad place to say but not the best

It was my first time staying at the property and the highlight of the place is you have a great view of the Bimini Channel with a view of all the boats coming in and out. But at the same time you have to share the dock with 2 other cottages onsite. If you get to use the one that's closest to the house you wont have a big issue but If you have to dock on the outside the waves from all the boats passing by will have your boat rocking against the dock all day. I did not like the fact that just a few steps next door you have another place that is rented so I did not feel comfortable hanging out on the dock with another group of people right there that can hear or see everything your doing. With small children and and a bunch of men on a fishing trip next door it was not ideal. Having no privacy unless inside takes away a lot from the place. Upon arrival the workers had no idea we were coming In so they quickly freshen up the room but the beds had hair and you can tell the the sheets had not been washed. The rooms where nice in size with wall A/C that kept the rooms nice and cold at night. The Location of the place is great as you close to everything. I wish I had known that the property was shared with others because I would have factored that into my decision. My worry about booking here again would be if the people that are rented in the cottages on the same property are not too nice or are a bit rowdy it would ruin your vacation and the place is not cheap either.

Perfect stay

The house was the perfect fit for our large group. It was updated, clean and in the perfect location. We came by boat and the dock was large enough to accommodate 2 boats. No negatives!

Be sure to bring lots of lines and fenders to protect your boat on the dock.House is fantastic and centrally located. Cannot beat the view.

Best place in Bimini!

A group of us rented all 3 cottages for a week and it was even better than it looks on line. The views were spectacular and the cottages were so cute and clean. The property Manager was SO fast to respond - set up gold carts for us, dropped off propane when we ran out- just on top of everything! We are already planning our next trip. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

More than we could have asked for...

First the cottages and property looked beautiful in the photos! Then upon arrival we were even more impressed because the pictures were 100% accurate and the home was so inviting and comfortable. The house has everything you could ever need and want, it really felt like home. We stayed in Ernie's Cottage and we were all in awe of this unit. We will definitely be back and I hope that we can stay in one of these cottages everytime. The owners were responsive and helpful to all messages, just all in all a great experience, home and location!

Wonderful Stay

This was the first time we decided to skip Christmas presents and take a family trip instead. So happy that we did. First trip to a Bahaman Island. Ernie's place is a wonderful property located within walking distance from Fisherman's Village. Very well stocked. Spacious for a family of 5. Great dock and outdoor living space. Comfortable beds. The online pictures are an accurate representation of the unit. We rented a golf cart as well. Great for getting around on the island. Definitely one of the nicest and well kept properties.

Joe and Karen visited Bimini before they were married over 25 years ago. After island hopping with their two boys Pete and Sam (now grown) seeking out the best diving, fishing, and boating they finally bought these vacation cottages in Bimini in 2021. The whole family is certified Advanced scuba divers and Joe is a trained free diver. They wanted a place to share with extended family and rent to those seeking warm, stunning blue water and a friendly, local island community.

The location of the Cottages at Bimini (Ernie's, Martin's and West Wing) make it a special, idyllic place. It is a completely private enclave for you to nestle into comfortably, but only a stone's throw from the friendly local community with great family restaurants and bars, Edith's famous pizza, Pat & Ebbie's bar & grill, a small liquor store, groceries, and shops. The health clinic is right across the street. A quick golf cart ride south to Alice town will take you to wonderful restaurants, Radio Beach, Dolphin house, and all the attractions of authentic Bimini. Or take a quick right north and in 4 minutes you can experience the restaurants, Casino, and other offerings of the Hilton and Resort World.

Ernie's, Martin's and West Wing are all newly, fully renovated, with new kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and decks. In addition to partially shaded decks, Martin's and Ernie's also have beach areas to lounge in as you look over the beautiful waters and watch the boats cruise by. The sunrises, sunsets, and rising moons are spectacular. There is nice snorkeling right off the dock, or just stand and watch the fish and eagle rays swim by. We've been known to swim straight out from the dock to grab a lobster and a couple of conchs for dinner. And your dog is welcome!
