Stayed a few nights
The Stabbin Cabin is by far the coolest AirBnB I have ever stayed at. Everything was amazing. The cabin itself was clean and conveniently located by being the closest to the bathroom/shower & hot tub. There were other people on the island, but it was still extremely private and nobody bothered us. We enjoyed meeting some of the people from the island, some people we met caught some rainbow trout in the lake and even gave us some to cook and try! There was plenty of dishes & cleaning supplies for us to make meals at the cabin. I do recommend bringing food & snacks! The deck was amazing, there was the one with a diving board and there was another one that was over on the side. We enjoyed both and done plenty of fishing. We caught the most fish in that lake then I have ever caught. Between the hot tub, the fire pit, the provided boat (which i thought was amazing that they provided that for you and allow you to explore in it!), the diving board, and the lake itself, we were never bored!

The Stabbin' Cabin on Grant Island is the perfect summer getaway for decompressing, de-stressing, and enjoying all nature has to offer without skipping the best of modern conveniences. The amber waters of Brantingham Lake were pristine, clear of algae or debris. The island was full of hammocks to relax in, the hot tub was divine, and there's no better way to end the day than a campfire on the beach. We loved all the water toys and took advantage of JPs rental service as well. JP was a great host; he was always available by message and prepped the space wonderfully. The instructions he gives prior to your stay are thorough and clear, there's little to wonder about after reading up on his island and it's amenities! The local area is a picturesque Adirondack town, with log bars and restaurants, and warm and friendly residents used to summer visitors.
My tips f you choose to stay at Stabbin' Cabin 1: bring a fold up table if you are preparing food, and a cooler :)

Stayed a few nights
It looks good in the photos but in person it is even better. We spent a weekend celebrating my boyfriend's birthday. Jp was super responsive, he helped us with everything we needed. The cabins are equipped with everything necessary to cook and have a pleasant stay. Many activities to do on the island and although the weather was a little rainy we were able to enjoy many amenities. The cherry on the cake was the boat, being able to have it whenever we wanted to leave the island or simply to explore the lake freely. Without a doubt one of the best experiences in Airbnb and I would schedule a next visit without a doubt.



There is NO kitchen access; however, we have made it possible for you to cook and clean outdoors. There is a outdoor utility sink for doing dishes and cleaning.

The Stabbin Cabin has its own private dorm size Mini Fridge with small freezer. If you have a need for more fridge space let us know and we can provide access to larger fridge and freezer.


We supply Cafe Bustelo coffee and a large selection of teas along with tea cups and utensils so that you can enjoy your mornings relaxing in our Adirondack chairs or hammocks.

You will be supplied with fresh sheets, towel and our bed will be made when you check in.

We have a small 6 seater boat with an electric motor that is included for you as well as two other electric boats that are at our disposal. It is for your leisure or to transport yourself on and off the island to the mainland parking area. It's a leisurely 5 minute boat ride from the parking area to the Island.

When you initially arrive we will pick you up from the mainland parking area in our pontoon boat and bring you to the island. We guide you to our cabin and give you a quick overview of everything you need and are available for any questions.

The beach area has a full size olympic style diving board and is a perfect place for swimming and floating in the water. We have plenty of floats and toys to play with.

We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have so feel free to ask.

We have some of the darkest skys in New England. It's an amazing place to StarGaze. For 2025 we will have a Telescope for exploring the skies.

We also rent Pontoon Boats, Jetskis, ATV's, Kayaks, , SUPS and Sailboats and many other toys at additional charge should you wish to ramp up your stay with some additional activities.

On the Island there are 3 other small cabins and two houses. The owners / managers live in one house and the others are rented.

We have a small dog that may at times come to visit to say hello. We prefer to keep a harmonious atmosphere on the island so any animals with aggressive tendencies will not be allowed. If there is any questions or concerns at all please message us first.

Dogs must be friendly and non-aggressive. If you have a dog that is a rescue or who has ever shown aggression, we ask that you do not bring them or keep them leashed during their stay.

There is a maximum dog size of 20lbs for this cottage with a one dog maximum. There is a $50 pet fee.

If you have a larger or second pet, please consult us, and we can consider them on a case-by-case basis.

Guest Access:
You will have the private cabin.

30 feet away is the main house on the property, which faces the opposite way so you do have privacy. Please see included images to give you a clear understanding of the property layout.

New for 2025 we have built another Stabbin Cabin, Glamping Tent and Houseboat.

When there are guests renting the other cabins the bathroom facilities will be shared between these cottages.

We have OCCUPIED and VACANT signs outside the door so users can know when the facilities are occupied to provide as much courtesy as possible for everyone.

Getting Around:
You will be provided an electric motorized boat to get you back and forth from the mainland parking area. Please see images of it in our listing.

The Parking area is about a 5 minute boat ride from the Island.
