This spacious, well-appointed first-floor, one-bedroom condo is located in the sought-after community of Chateau La Mer. Picture yourself strolling along 230 feet of private Destin beach, just across the street and next to the popular beachfront restaurant, Captain Dave's on the Gulf. Chateau La Mer is ideal for everyone, with large grassy areas, sidewalks for scenic walks by the stunning beach, and plenty of amenities. Take a dip in the large pool, which may be seasonally heated at the HOA's discretion, volley with friends and family on the well-kept tennis courts, or enjoy outdoor grills, the clubhouse, and more. With no through-traffic, the neighborhood is especially appreciated by families with kids. Condo living here means single or two-story units and no waiting for elevators! Walk to nearby restaurants or grab fresh local seafood for a relaxing evening at your home-away-from-home. Everything you need is close by, and Destin offers something for everyone—arts and culture, eco-tourism, fine dining, casual eats, sports, shopping, and more. This unit is not new but very clean and equipped everything you needed for families with kids, had like extra room by back door, very close to the beach and restaurant just across street. Overall is recommended.

The condo was nice and clean. It was close to the beach. There were several restaurants and stores close to the condo. The beach area is private which is really nice and it's not crowded.My only negative is that we were without a dishwasher for the week. A new one was installed the Friday before we left. The staff were all very kind and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Great Place to Stay For a Fair Price

The place is not super fancy by any means but it is perfect if you have a small group and spend most of your time on the beach. Literally like 100 yards from the water and super quiet place. Really enjoyed my stay and would 100% book again

Exactly what we were hoping for our stay! Easy and convenient walk to beach! Clean, comfortable, very reasonable price. Nothing fancy, but easy check-in/check-out!

Easy Beach access and tennis/pickle

For not being right on the beach, it was an easy walk with restaurants nearby. Enjoyed access to tennis courts and pool.

We had a great week staying in Destin. Condo was spacious and clean. Furniture a little dated but still very comfortable. Slept great in the bed. Washer and dryer in unit was a plus to have. Location for us was perfect. We love Kenny D’s for the Happy Hour and food. Especially the Crab legs! This was our second time to Destin and have found that we enjoy this part of Florida. Found two new sports bar. Sandlot and Auston’s Oyster Bar and Grill. Lots of TVs for the sports fans. We will be back.

Great location

I really enjoyed the stay here. It was a great location, close to crab trap, pompanos joes, Kenny Ds and shopping too. Short walk to the beach. The house was stocked nice and it was very comfortable. Only wish is that we could turn the temperature down a bit on the AC. It can get warm. Otherwise a lovely stay

Worse place iv ever stayed

Music loud from other condo cigarette smell construction over our condo noise from it until I had to remind construction work 10pm was quite time floors nasty coffee pot nasty large trash bin in middle of condo parking which left bad access to our condo pool closed for a day no one contacted us about it being closed first day complained about the loud music & cigarette smell no one called me back

Hi Lori, We are so sorry you were unhappy during your stay. My notes on your reservation reflect you were contacted immediately by our manager regarding the issues you had. Unfortunately we have no control on what neighboring units we don't manage do. The pool was closed temporarily and guest were allowed to use Chateau II pool until pool reopened the next day. (We only knew of this when we were alerted by another guest and called HOA) We take pride in our cleaning team and Housekeeping has been alerted to your complaints regarding the floors and coffee pot. Great location for the beach it was a short walk across the street. Good place to just chill after a long beach day. Comfortable bed and good to have a pull out couch. Liked that they had a washer/dryer. The house cleaner could’ve done better there was nerds candy spilled and a pair of underwear in a nightstand drawer upon arrival. Little things that would’ve made the stay better was if the blinds weren’t missing pieces because people could see in the unit from the outside. If they had towel hooks in the bathroom to hang towels. If they provided even just a couple more sample tubes or shampoo/conditioner, one more roll of TP, and at least two more laundry pods. Just the little things like that would’ve made it more convenient and easier plus would’ve saved us from bringing back extras that we had to put on our Walmart order. Overall the unit provided everything you needed for cooking and more. The TV was a little difficult to figure out at first but we figured it out. It was a quiet location and had a nice pool area as well. We probably will stay in the area again but look for a different unit.
