Stay in Sunset Lakes

I have always loved this neighborhood. Disappointed that one of the gates is damaged so that felt a little less secure. Of course, that is not the property owner's responsibility, but maybe that will be fixed next year. Property owner was awesome - very responsive. House is laid out well and neighborhood is quiet. Would stay here again for sure!

Excellent house

A fantastic property in a lovely, quiet area with a beautiful view across the lake. The house was comfortable and clean, plenty of space and very well equipped (including a plug-in power pack!). We’ve stayed in many houses in the area and this was one of the best. Highly recommended. Thank you so much for everything

Great Christmas Break!

Great place to stay. We are one of the few who didn't go to any parks, we just stayed at the house, swam, and fished. The pool is great, the house is great, and the lake has plenty of bass!

Close to everything

Great neighborhood, close to everything, including family. Home was clean, and our grandkids loved the pool. Any problems we had, the host was very prompt in answering our e-mails and made sure our questions were answered promptly. Would stay there again.

A wonderful holiday - again

I love this villa. The location is excellent. This was our second holiday here and we would recommend it to anyone. It was very clean and well maintained. It is a very quiet, safe area. The only problems were that the PS2 did not appear to be working and there was only 1 oven tray.

Enjoyed this Villa

I loved my holiday in this villa. This villa is in a fantastic location. The pool is south facing and the pool heat works really well. The furnishings are a little tired and the appliances not new. This did not affect our stay. We felt the atmosphere in the villa was very welcoming. It is a great base for a wonderful holiday

Great vacation

This house has everything. It is close to eating, shopping and parks. The pool has sun all day long, and all in my family loved this house, and it's nice to have the lake so close and all the birds, to look at. If you want to dine at home one day, there is a nice kitchen with all you need. The kids in the family can play in the game room, when they are done with the pool. I will recommend this house to others.

Outstanding!

The house was perfect for our family vacation. Our kids loved the pool and the game room. We were about 20 minutes from Magic Kingdom and minutes from stores and restaurants. The only problem in the house were the televisions, they need to be updated. And we were unable to get cable connection in one of the bedrooms. Other than that, we truly enjoyed our stay and will stay again in the future.

My family of 9 stayed here for our first ever trip to Disney World. The house was perfect for our needs - clean, enough beds for everyone, a sitting area that held us all, a kitchen we could use for breakfast and dinner, and within 20 minutes of the Disney parking lots. It helped make our Disney trip doable by cutting down on some of the costs (i.e. extra meals out and hotel rooms). When I needed to call the owner over a couple of minor issues she responded promptly and courteously and was genuinely concerned to make our stay enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

A great place for families to stay.

We loved our view from the couch with a cup of coffee in hand, even on the days without sun- seeing and listening to the birds every day was a delight. It is close to many restaurants, Bahama Breeze being one of our favorites. This home is very close to Disney, and many different shopping areas. The property was clean, except for dusty ceiling fans. There were plenty of plates, glasses, etc. We requested a heated pool, and during our stay there were some variance in temperatures that were promptly looked at by the management group. We would recommend this home to anyone, and hope to return next year. Jenan

We enjoyed our stay at the lake view house. Felt safe and secure in the area. Really enjoyed the view from the south facing pool with sun all day long. Overall rating of home would be much better if there was more tlc taken in the care of the property. Many of the lanai screens need repair or replacement. Lawn weeds were allowed to grow and went to seed while we were there and seeds would blow into the lanai and pool through the openings in the screens. A net should be provided as well to skim the surface of the pool. The vertical blinds are in rough shape and are difficult to open and close. We had to purchase dish cloths as there was nothing provided to wash dishes. Cleaning supplies were not provided. We like to care for places we stay at as if they were our own, but when the place is not well cared for is discouraging.

Best House Yet

We have rented many properties over the last 5 years...multiple houses per year...and this home was by far the best. It was clean, the owner was very responsive and the property managers were helpful when we needed them. The kitchen was the most well stocked. I bring a tote of basic cooking essentials with me every time we rent a home, as 9 times out of 10 the houses don't have what I need. I could have left my tote at home! While the appliances are dated and the dishwasher doesn't hold near enough, they are just fine for a two week vacation. Renting a house is always better than a tiny hotel room, even taking into account that you need to pick up toilet paper etc. This is just normal. The beds that we used were very comfortable. I didn't wake up with a sore back once...until I got home and slept on my own mattress! Sunset Lakes is a quiet neighborhood and has the extra security of a coded gate. We will hopefully have the opportunity to rent this home again and will be sure to tell others about it. I highly recommend. Thank you Helen for allowing us to stay in your home. We enjoyed our stay.

Very Comfortable Home Close to Theme Parks

I would highly recommend this rental property, on a picturesque lake, within a gated community. Everything has been kept up very well. The beds were so comfortable and there were plenty of blankets and sheets if needed. Also, there were many towels for the bathrooms. It was so relaxing to come back to this home in the afternoon. I have stayed in quite a few rental homes in the close vicinity of this house and this is by far the most well kept property that I've encountered at present. One thing that I would recommend is some more cutlery and a few more plates. There were only two of us, so it wasn't a problem at all, but the house could easily sleep 10 and there definitely were not 10 knives or forks. This may or may not be an issue depending on your dining needs. Something else that I had a hard time getting used to (and is no fault of the owner) is that this house and many in the area are on what I believe is a zero lot line. I kinda felt like I was intruding on the neighbors and vice versa when I was out by the pool as they literally were 20 or 30 feet away. It made me a little uncomfortable but that may just be a strange idiosyncrasy of mine as I wouldn't think twice about laying at a hotel pool with a bunch of other folk. Speaking of the pool (which has a great night light). although I wasn't using it this week, there was an issue with the filter leaking excessively one day. I called the "caretaker" and I'm not kidding, he was there in about 3 minutes and fixed the problem. That was excellent. I chatted with him for a while and it is obvious that he takes care of this and other properties as if they are his own. What a refreshing treat. I really don't think that anyone would be disappointed if they were to rent this house. If they are, then they can always stay in an expensive 2 double bed hotel room, pay more and not get the luxury of your own private pool, 4 well appointed bedrooms, 2 nicely stocked bathrooms, a dining room, kitchen, laundry facilities and a great kids playroom in the garage. Give it a try folks, I think that you will love it. Oh, and by the way, if you do get the opportunity to stay here, treat it with the respect that you would your own house.

BUGS, more BUGS, and FILTH

Unfortunately my families (2 adults/4 children) experience was LESS then acceptable on our visit. From the moment we walked into the house there was a "smell." Upon entering, there were dead cockroached on the floor, hundreds of dead fruit flies in both bathrooms and mold/dirt throughout the house. After seeing all the bugs we starting looking deeper, under beds/under couch cushions. Under the cushions were old newspaper articles, old napkin was under the loveseat along with a large amount of crumbs. Under the beds had not been cleaned and per the cleaning/management company, under there only gets vacuumed during their "spring" cleaning. There was mold in the master bath in various locations and mold growing in the kitchen under the window sill. We were so diappointed!!! To make things worse we kept looking around, there were live bugs in the silverware drawer!! The pool area looked as though they were not expecting any visitors any time soon, the rug and chair cushions were all moldy and the ground had dirt all over it. Even the hose was just laying on the ground all messy. Initially the owner was very helpful, but quickly changed her tune when I stated we were not staying there! She immediately stated we would not get ANY money back on the house rental. We called the maintanence company and they were wanting to come out the NEXT day to clean!! When I stated that was unacceptable I quickly experienced attitude. They did come to clean, 1 hour after they stated they would be there. They cleaned "their" way but unfortunately after they said the house was clean it was not. There were still bugs all over the master bathtub and second bathrooms tub. The mold in most places was still there as well. A return phone call to the owner just ended up on me being hung up on, and I have yet to hear from her. We were fortunate enough to have additional family vacationing in the community so stayed with them for the night and then found a LOVELY, CLEAN, house the next morning to stay in during our vacation. It was such an unfortunate experience, one that we have never had before in all our rentals. I know it sounds hard to believe, but I do have pictures of all!! The photos of the house on the website show the potential, not the reality. Would love to share if able... The only postiive for this community is the locations to all the parks and other attractions in the area.
