Remote luxury

Property was so beautiful and clean. Owners thought of everything to make our stay relaxing and wonderful. Luxury cottage describes it perfectly. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable!

Amazing Experience

From the initial booking to checking out, our group had an amazing time at this cottage! The hosts are extremely nice and went out of their way to ensure that we had a great time. Every aspect of the cottage exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be coming back! This newly-renovated cottage is a perfect combination of technology and nature, and has amenities catered to everyone! Overall we loved our stay, and had zero complaints! Would highly recommend!

Beautiful property, unfortunate that the hosts were so rude and confrontational.

The property is absolutely beautiful. The house, yard, and river are immaculately kept and were exactly as advertised. The hottub and sauna were amazing as well. Unfortunately, the hosts felt the need to constantly be involved throughout our stay. From showing up on property unannounced, to sending regular text messages either berating us or informing us we were being "listened to through the camera". The constant unwarranted interactions really had a negative impact on our stay. At one stage, the host actually started threatening people telling them "I will hunt you down and ruin your life" (seriously... I actually have text messages from the host reiterating the threats...). I did have to apologize to the hosts as we had brought one more person than we initially thought (we had 7 instead of 6 as my little sister had a scheduled surgery rebooked last minute), but i really don't think cussing out guests and threatening anybody was warranted. In summary, the property is amazing and is kept in perfect condition, it is clear the owners put alot of work into it...perhaps so much they have a difficult time when others are using it. Unfortunately I would decline to book here again as the hassle of dealing with the hosts constantly throughout our stay (and afterwards as I continued to receive berating messages post-vacation) had enough of an impact that we would not return.

Well Dylan, its time to put your big boy pants on and take responsibility for your actions. You never mention how your brother arrived and drove directly onto the lawn, how you brought a dog which we specifically said no animals. How you ripped the hot tub cover and tried to hide that fact, the music was loud, you lost one of the safety pails in a kayak. We only responded to our concerns about our house which we have every right to do. You and your family were there to party and have no concern for others and property. So ya I guess we were mad. I think any owner on vrbo would have done the same thing.. All I can say is you made it easy for us to decide to take our house off the vrbo market. With people like you we can't afford to have our property destroyed.

We purchased the log cabin as a renovation project 5 years ago and now that it is completed we want to share it with others. We live close by on 25 acres so we are available with any questions or concerns. We hope you will love the cabin and all it has to offer as much as we do.

This property is very private, it is at the end of a private laneway. There is no vehicle traffic to listen to. You can watch the squirrels chase each other all day and listen to owls at night. If you visit at the right time of year you can pick fresh strawberries for breakfast right from our own strawberry patch.

This log home is so peaceful, it can't help but bring you relaxation during your stay. The birds, gardens and the river seem to slow life down. We have tried to bring all modern amenities into the house while keeping the charm of a log cabin. The shower floor 3d mural gives you the feeling of still being outside and the oversized tub is luxurious with the heated back and bottom. The kitchen is equipped with everything one needs to make a gourmet meal. The freezer continually makes ice so no need to worry that your drink will get warm. Relax and unwind in the wood fired sauna, then finish your day with a movie on the big screen and fresh movie style popcorn from our popcorn machine.
