The Mark at Surfside, Apt. 1

This is motel style, bottom floor apartment. It has two queen bedrooms with one bathroom. Within the bathroom is a stand-up shower, and bath towels, toilet paper, shampoo set, and hand soap.

Kitchen with coffee pot, dishes, and utensils provided. There is a Roku smart TV in the living room and Wi-Fi throughout the entire property. The bedrooms and living room have a window unit with AC, fan, and heating.

Bench outside of the unit for your use. Outdoor area with picnic tables, and charcoal grills. Please bring your own charcoal and grilling utensils if you intend to use the grill. Neat, clean, safe, and affordable place to stay less than a block from the beach.

*The Village of Surfside has always had issues with its water. It has a bit of an off color, odor and flavor. We have installed a filtration system to help with this and the water is safe for use, but it doesn't fully remove these issues. Please look to bring bottled water if this will be an issue so that you have access to it.*

There were outdoor furniture for the living room, the heating did not work and the plumbing was not working. When the plumbing problem started we got our things together and went home. Mind you 3 days early. We stayed 3 1/2 days. Bed was worn out, it was just a terrible so called week vacation. We will never stay at THE MARK ever again!!

I've stayed here several times in both 1 and 2 bedroom apartments. Exactly fits my needs with everything needed in apartment for my relaxing go to place for beach.stay. Short walk to beach not having to cross even a street. Well lighted at apartments and walk to beach even early AM for sunrise and PM for sunset. Never have had an issue and have always.felt safe. Just leave my beach chair and blanket in car to carry back and forth to beach. Not luxury but hey why would one go to the beach to stay inside. Clean, BBQs, picnic tables, chairs on upper floor deck and bench seating on lower outside under roofs. Has wifi and tv.this is something you require. Always enjoy my.stays here.

Great location

Not on the water but very close about a 2 minute walk, stores conveniently located and the apartment was very cozy had everything we needed for a weekend stay!!!! Definitely will recommend

Great stay

Property owner was awesome. The place is very clean. If you plan on staying for more than one or two nights bring extra towels. Only complaint was not enough towels. I would definitely stay again and had a great time! Thanks Marcus!

Great experience!!!

We absolutely loved staying at apt 1. It has all you need while on your trip, and the walk to beach is literally 3 minutes. Was definitely impressed with the cleanliness!!! We also loved how affordable it was. Management is very communicative and available shall you need anything . Will definitely be back!

Enjoyed again!

This is our second stay at Coral Cove and we love it. Basically on the beach!! A good space to eat, sleep, and shower (which is basically all you need after a day on the beach). The only thing I would warn is there is no washers or dryers on site. Still a cute, cheap place to stay!

Convenience and location!

This property was exactly what I expected, and some more! The commodities inside the room were nice, such as the full refrigerator and freezer, sink, oven/stove. The cleanliness was on pointe for what I expected for a “beach stay!” The best part though was the proximity to the beach, with just a short walk that provided access to the beach. All in all, the price point of this property was perfect for just a my girlfriend and I to getaway for a three night stay. Would recommend for small families or couples looking for an affordable getaway. Last bonus, we were able to bring our two babies (puppies) for a minimal fee. It allowed us to enjoy beach time with them and then put them in their crates when they were ready for a nap in the nice air conditioned room!

My Go To Getaway

Third or 4th time staying here. Love being steps from the beach for sunrises and sunsets, reading, listening to and watching waves and beach walks. Usually my total disconnect from devices, TV, news, and minimal food prep. Clean comfortable place to stay. Has everything I need to be comfy and rejuvenate and feel refreshed after a few days. Host has always been great with communication and makes one feel welcome. Even managed to not be able to get back indoors, but called and most kindly told us what to do and made certain we had it figured out how to lock and unlock with the door swelling from weather. Little ones had a great time on the beach building sand castles, playing in the water, games - just regular fun without being attached to devices. There is a tv, fridge, cook plate, microwaves, oven/toaster, towels and all necessities. Two bedroom thus time with little grands and Daughter-On-Law. I usually rent a one sleeping area, but needed 2 bedrooms with the grands along with myself unable to climb stairs this time. No complaints for either for reasonable accommodations. I certainly don’t go away like this to stay inside. Outdoors beach without even having to cross a road or drive. Not the Ritz, but I love staying here and will continue to do so as I also feel very safe here. Good communication with host and have never had an issue. Can hardly wait to go again!

The best bang for your buck

I did quite a bit of research approximately 30 days before we were wanting to schedule our trip. Ultimately, we narrowed the search down to Surfside Texas. Within Surfside there were several possible options but all of them were rather expensive when you considered there was only two of us going to be vacationing. We found this listing just before giving up and canceling our plans. The host was very responsive and detailed in their requirements and also the amenities. We were extremely pleased with Coral Cove unit number one. It's a two bedroom with a dresser in each bedroom but no closet. The Linens and the cleanliness was top-notch for all the rooms. There was a small bathroom w/shower, w/soap dispenser & kitchen area for dining & a compact area for relaxing and watching TV. The TV is huge. There are 3 standalone windowsill AC units. They kept the entire unit very comfortable. Everything was clean and in good condition. The two chairs and the love seat in the living area could possibly do with some cleaning or even just furniture covers but other than that we had no negative observations or experiences. This is not some place that you're going to stay in all day cause that's not why you're at the beach. You're at the beach to go outside & enjoy the area and this unit is perfect for that. It does offer a large refrigerator, a coffee maker and a microwave and sink for dishes if that's what you need. We will be highly considering this property for future beach trips!!!

Property was great, we had a wonderful stay. It was very clean, and had all the services required for a week long stay. We will stay here again the next time we come down.
