Located between two piers (Jennette's and Outer Banks Pier), this gorgeous home offers amazing ocean views and fresh renovations. Sandy Bottom is situated in a classic H floor plan, with the king bedroom, and one queen bedroom on one side, and the second queen bedroom and the room with 2 sets of bunks on the other side. Both sides have a full hall bathroom between the bedrooms. The crowā€™s nest is a top-notch addition with a bird's eye view of the ocean for extraordinary sunrise views. When you stay at Sandy Bottom you gain not only an oceanfront view but the experience of having the beach as your backyard.

Sandy Bottom is located in South Nags Head, one of the more quiet and quaint areas of the Outer Banks. Restaurants and shops are less than 10 minutes away and historic Roanoke Island is just across the Washington Baum bridge. Take a quick trip down south to Oregon Inlet Fishing Center, or spend the day exploring Hatteras Island. Itā€™s truly the perfect location if youā€™re looking for something laid back but also close enough to enjoy all the activities and adventures that the Outer Banks has to offer.

Everything was exactly as listed! We did have a ton of flys in the house when we checked in but my son made it his mission and did a great job at eliminating all of them! The only thing that i was this vrbo had is cookie sheets!

Great location, right on the beach!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was clean and we kept, not new but still very nice and met all our needs. The location was great, close to all the attractions that we wanted to see and right on the beach, we could hear the waves crashing on the shore! The only issue we had was that it had a pretty strong smell of moth balls which was kind of a bummer, but we opened up the windows and bought a scented candle and it was fine. Would definitely recommend this place!

The crow perch area was great for watching the sun and full moon rising over the ocean and then watching them set over the houses behind us. The house was clean and the space was very functional. My wife and I could easily have shared the space with another couple.The interior of the house was a bit dark - it made reading in the evenings a challenge. The front door lock could be a bit uncooperative. Sometimes it took one try, sometimes two or three tries. Overall - a great location to spend a week.

Excellent property, gorgeous beach, weā€™ll maintained

This property is directly on a gorgeous beach, and we enjoyed watching the sunrise as dolphins swam by each morning. The house itself was clean, if a little sandy, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything I needed. The grocery stores and liquor stores are close by, making for a relaxing vacation overall. We rented the linen package which was well worth it. Highly recommend.

We got engaged here 30 years ago and every year celebrated our youngest daughter Heatherā€™s birthday there. She passed away from cancer at 11 years old and we cherish every July 2nd in the same house that we shared so many happy memories. The house is clean and provides just enough for our treasured 2 week stay.

Unbelievable Beach Location

You canā€™t ask for a better location to enjoy the Outer Banks. Itā€™s right in the middle of everything you want to do and is on the beach with a beach view. The house is very clean and has a nice layout. This house isnā€™t your typical VRBO. There is absolutely nothing left from the previous renters so make sure you plan for that. Itā€™s kind of nice not to have questionable leftover food in the fridge. I purchased the linen package since we were flying in. It was seamless and convenient. I highly recommend this house and would stay here again. Note that you cannot get in until the check in time ON THE DOT.

Best stay by far!

We have been coming down to OBX for decades and this trip was earlier than usual due to an early high school graduation. It was me, my husband, my mother, my 23 yr old son, my 18 yr old graduate and 4 of his friends. Cottage was perfect with kids on one side of house and adults on the other. Great open concept in middle and largest, most comfortable couch ever! Weā€™ll stocked kitchen, plenty of dining seating (and great table for D&D). Recommend line /towel service. Location was perfect with long crowā€™s nest for sunning, chilling or watching the sunrise. Easy step down to the dunes. Beautiful ocean views and a natural sound machine every night with the windows open. Wish the weather was better but early June is unpredictable. Hope to come back for Thanksgiving and again next summer. I give this place all the stars!

The views, the porch, the house being right on the beach were the highlights of our trip. We loved being able to walk 20 steps and be on the sand. We kept chairs, our umbrella and towels at the beach and went back and forth all day and evening. Most mornings we watched the sun rise and saw the dolphins playing in the distance. The beds were comfortable and the water pressure was great. It was also terrific to have the washer dryer. Both porch areas were terrific with the rocking chairs, tall chairs and the swing. There were books and games as well as a set of binoculars. We were very happy and had a really memorable and happy week. Good stuff: overall, the place was clean and homey. The doors locked well and we felt secure. The view was unreal. The space was ample for the 8 of us. There were some things that could be improved. The first smell upon walking in was moth balls. Not sure why. The towels included in the linen fee were thin and rough. Each guest got one bath towel, one hand towel and one washcloth. The bunk bed room has inappropriate words written under the top bed that my kids pointed out. Fortunately, thereā€™s a Home Goods very close by where we bought towels and candles to cover the moth ball smell. The bedspread/comforters were not clean - we found stains on two of them and decided to wash all of the linens. There was mold in the blender. The kitchen sink faucet was temperamental - it was difficult to get the right angle to get hot water. All of these were annoyances that shouldnā€™t have happened but we didnā€™t let it detract from our good time. Just passing this on for the next guests to be more prepared. We considered reaching out to the property management but also didnā€™t want to have maintenance people come in so we managed. It was a beautiful location and aside from the things I mentioned, it was really wonderful.

Paint in summer areas needs updating. If your used to renting houses where you usually find extras left behind by the other renters, you will not find that here. Things like dish soap, garbage bags and other supply things like that are all removed. Just an FYI. This place is great for the $$. Go Sand Bottom!
