SATURDAY TO SATURDAY RENTALS ONLY! The home is one row back from the beach to the right of the beach road heading south located on milepost 21. It has one King bedroom with en suite bathroom , one Queen, one Double and one room with twin beds sleeping 2. Maximum guests 8. Total of three bathrooms. Pets welcome- dogs only, maximum 2 dogs, $90 per dog fee. Ocean and sound views from the sunrooms and newly updated decks. Open concept main floor which now has attractive new luxury vinyl plank grey ash flooring includes new dining table for six, also four new barstools, another table in sunroom seating four. Brand new kitchen appliances. Great location 3 minutes walk to the beach,150 yards through beach access to beach and surf-fishing and location just north of the open beach of Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Close to Bodie Island Lighthouse on the sound side. Fishing and crabbing in the sound. Only 4 miles to the Oregon inlet Fishing Center with the largest charter boat fishing fleet on the eastern seaboard. Many restaurants in easy reach. Two and a half miles from Nags Head Fishing Pier and the popular Fishheads Bar&Grill (live music in - season), one mile further to the oldest pub on the Outer Banks Sam and Omies, only a little further to Tanger Outlet Mall and go-karting. Only a few miles to Manteo and the famous Lost Colony historical outdoor play. Something for everyone!

Laila & Ridley did not disappoint! The house is lovely, loaded with paintings and treasures from all over the world...plenty of room and had everything we might have needed. Short walk to the beach, doggies loved ! So did Mom & Dad Very quiet neighborhood...ventured out each day, everything was within a 15 minute drive. Would definitely rent again!

The house is in a great location and access to the beach is nearby. Shopping and great restaurants are near in the Whalebone area and also Manteo.I would recommend up grading the grill, perhaps buying a combo k-cup/coffee pot coffee maker and including a griddle or a large frying pan to assist in cooking for large families. There was insufficient paper towels and toilet paper which we bought and left at the house.Overall, we were happy with the accommodations.

We had a wonderful week here with our family of eight. The quiet neighborhood and short walk to the beach were perfect, and the extras like beach toys, chairs, and the outdoor shower made our stay even more enjoyable. Having three bathrooms was a big plus for our group, and the kitchen was well stocked, with a coffee pot that didnā€™t require paper filters. Most bedrooms had TVs, which we appreciated.A few things to plan for.. bring your own linens, as theyā€™re not provided, and consider packing extra paper towels and toilet paper for the week. The fridge ran a little warm, and the backyard grass was taller than expected for toddlers. The top porch rail could use a quick check for stability, and since this is a pet-friendly home, it might be worth an extra upholstery cleaning between guests. Also, the nearest grocery store is about 10 minutes away, so a good grocery run at the start of your trip can save extra drives. Weā€™d happily stay here again. Overall, a comfortable and well-located home in a peaceful spot.

Property was just as described. Great loctaion in South Nags Head close enough to everything you would need but remote feel in a quiet neighborhood. Host was extremely cfast to reply to all communications which I found extremely refreshing. Yard could have used a mow and there is no recycling bins.

We really enjoyed our stay there! Close to the beach, beautiful sunsets and great weather! It had everything except matches/lighter for the charcoal grill or we couldnā€™t find it. I highly recommend this place!

Perfect Location!

We had a wonderful vacation. Nags Tale was exceptionally clean. We appreciated the eclectic cohesive decorative style. We could tell the owners are world travelers with unique mementos throughout. The home was comfortable and kitchen was well stocked with nice dishes and plenty of silverware. We really enjoyed the sunroom with ocean views. I drank my coffee and ate my breakfast in that room each morning. The neighborhood was quiet and walk to the beach was just as pictured. We were thankful for the sidewalks and no dunes to climb for beach access. Owners provided excellent customer service, we had a couple of questions during our stay. They were responsive and delightful.Thank you for a memorable vacation!

Two relaxing weeks.

This house is perfect for us. It is in a nice area, close to restaurants and a grocery store. yet there is very little traffic. The house has everything we needed. My wife and I and my son and daughter and their spouses. Our idea of a vacation is to not do too much, and this was a wonderful place to do that. The beach is very convenient. Very thankful for it. The Nelsons are wonderful hosts, and got back to us or had whatever problem there was solved very quickly

Perfectly close to the beach and secluded!

Our stay at Nags Tale was wonderful! The home is in excellent proximity for close beach access, and the area does not feel crowded compared to farther north in Nags Head. The home offered everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Weā€™d enjoy staying here again!

Great stay in Nags Head!

We had a family reunion in Nags Head and had a great stay. The house is spacious and clean enough for 5 adults and 2 children. We loved walking to the beach and the upper balcony and sun room was a treat. Highly recommend!

Spacious and convenient beach house

Nags Tale was a pleasant house for our family vacation this year. We loved the openness of the living room and kitchen area. Our family had plenty of places to sit and hangout together when we were indoors. The location of the house was convenient not only the short walk to the beach access, but also to shopping and restaurants too. The house was clean when we arrived. I did give cleanliness 4 stars due to the floors in the kitchen and living area being a bit too sandy. It was as though they had not been swept or vacuumed before we arrived. The hosts were kind and easy to communicate with when needed. Our family would definitely stay here again in the future. Thanks so much for renting your home to our family. We made many fun memories this year!

Never had an owner treat us so badly.

At booking the owner decided that, despite it being a 4 bedroom home, she would only allow us to use 2 bedrooms because she thought that was all we were entitled to since we would be paying the Off Season price. We arrived to a terrible musty odor on the first floor and sinks that were not clean. We did not bother to contact owner. We simply cleaned them, opened the windows, and moved on. Day 3 we tried to do laundry and the washer was broken. Contacted the owner. She acted surprised and was apologetic. Her caretaker arrived the next morning and said he had been there 3 weeks ago for the same problem and that the machine should be replaced. When we asked for compensation she was literally shouting at me over the phone and suggested that I go to the laundromat, stating that ā€œit will only take you 15 minutesā€. Laughable. In her tirade she decided to accuse us of breaking the washing machine. Then, as we were driving home she texted us to accuse our dog of peeing on the carpet. Absolutely false. There were stains on that carpet when we arrived. Likely they contributed to the stench. We have been VRBO customers for over 20 years and we have NEVER had a conflict. This owner does not seem to understand the concept of Off Season Pricing. She treated us terribly, insisting that she was giving us such a discount. How dare we ask for a washing machine that works! How dare we ask to be compensated! How dare we expect to use all of the bedrooms and bathrooms listed!

Good place in a great location

We were looking for a pet friendly house that is clean, simple, and close to the beach, and that's exactly what we got. We were also very happy with its location, just inside the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. You have the true Outer Banks feel, but it's only a short drive to the shopping district if you need supplies.

A Nag's Tale for the Ages

The property is wonderful - bright, airey and beachy! Easy access to the beach. South Nags Head is away from the crowds - great location! Laila and Ridley are gracious and attentive hosts. Our family had a fantastic vacation!

A place that has it all.

My family of 5 had a fabulous time at Nags Tale. This cottage really had everything one could ask for. Some of the things we enjoyed were: - close proximity to the beach - the pretty grounds with the bbq grill and hammock - the outdoor shower - the fantastic amount of living and sleeping space - kitchen with all the cookware and utensils - the views from the deck - the two sitting rooms to unwind and relax - the charming decor throughout the house - nearby restaurants and seafood markets (Whalebone is a must) Thereā€™s more Iā€™m sure Iā€™m forgetting but if youā€™re looking for a property near the beach with all the amenities for a family this is it. The host was responsive and will take care of any questions and concerns. Two thumbs up!

Nice neighborhood and short walk to beach

This is a nice, quiet neighborhood and the walk to the beach was quick. We had a fairly rainy week in the Outer Banks so while in the house we liked that the house had the living area on the top level, and particularly liked the ā€˜sunroomā€™ overlooking the ocean.

Perfect location!

Loved the location of this property! It was quiet and relaxing in South Nags Head. The beach was only steps away and we loved that we didnā€™t need to drive for days. The only reason Iā€™m giving this a 4 overall is that the downstairs was very outdated and could use some renovations.
