Lazy Bear Lodge with Boat Slip on Lake Tomahawk/Minocqua Chain

Quaint get-away on gorgeous Tomahawk Lake with 252' frontage just waiting for you to take pleasure in all the big water has to offer on the Minocqua Chain: fishing, swimming, boating or just relaxing. Lazy Bear Lodge consists of 2 hotel rooms joined into one, offering two Queen beds, 1 full bath, spacious kitchen and large, fully furnished patio with a charcoal grill for BBQs after your day of play on the Lake!

Summer season: A 30' dock is available for your boat (or rental), advanced notice is required. Water depth at the end of the dock is approximately 4 1/2 feet. Incredible sunsets & great swimming, too!

Winter season: Snowmobilers welcome! Plenty of parking for trailers & sleds, with a U-shaped drive-through lot, and the trail is right out the front door! Lake Tomahawk offers great ice fishing, too. Minocqua Winter Park is just 20 miles away for skiing, sledding, & so much more! This unit is right next door to Little Gem & Nauti Oak, which are also for rent for even more space for your group.

The patio is an excellent space for cooking out, relaxing in the sun, or enjoying a bonfire under the stars. The boathouse deck is a privately shared area to take in the views of Lake Tomahawk, and access to the water is just steps away.

The unit is an old motel that's been converted into condos. Lazy Bear Lodge is located on the end, and consists of 2 units that are joined into one! :)

Yearly Northwoods Vacation

We had wonderful stay at the Lazy Bear. Kelly was a very responsive host, checking in to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. The cabin is clean and well stocked with very thoughtful supplies. Having boat slip availability was a huge plus! Thank you Kelly and Chris for being so friendly and welcoming!

We were staying for a week before a family wedding so the property owner moved us to Nauti Oak cabin so that we'd have more room to work, which worked out perfectly! We had a big dining room table for both our laptops and a nice view out the window. Wifi was a little slow the first night but there was a storm front moving in, but then it worked well the rest of the week for us to work remotely. The cabin had everything we needed to hang out during the day. The weather was colder than we expected but there were cozy blankets and the owner started the fireplace, which really warmed up the cabin nicely! We went out to dinner with friends in the evening. Even in the off-season, there was plenty of places to go within a short drive from the cabin.

Great property

Great property for the price. Hosting (Kelly) was top of the line host. Very responsive. Convenient parking for lake toys, etc. Lots of little details in unit (e.g. posting on light switches on what they do. Simple things that most over look.

Very cute and cozy

Kelly and Chris are wonderful people and made sure our stay was as pleasant as possible. They were available for any concerns immediately. Also gave us suggestions on things to do. They have done a wonderful job renovating this space. It is very modern, clean, and quite comfy. Beds are also comfortable. The only negative I have to say is that we didn’t get to stay longer!! Highly recommend!

PROS- * Location for travel to area activities * Cleanliness (mostly… see cons) * Nicely decorated * Nice bright lights inside * Very comfortable beds CONS- * Entry door…. Inside floor mat was VERY dirty. * Entry door very un-appealing * Screen torn very badly on patio door in living room, making a great entry for mosquitos! * Mouse trap in bedroom behind nightstand!!!!! What does that tell you?!? * Outside entry light does not work. May be the light or switch. * Listed with Breakfast provided…. There was a container of oatmeal, pancake mix and syrup. My bad, but did not expect I would have to cook it! Listing should mention the ingredients are there for you to make.

I reached out to Bob during his stay and he not only didn't have the courtesy to respond, he very easily could have brought his concerns to my attention at that time, which I would've happily rectified. There are no rips, tears or otherwise in the screen doors. The breakfast items provided ARE listed in our listing description, as well as in my personal message to him upon check-in. I'm always happy to be a personal chef for our guests, had he brought this to my attention (we love to spoil our guests when they are friendly and responsive!) The outside light is on a motion sensor. If he had turned that off, it wouldn't work. Easily rectifiable had it been brought to my attention. There is a decon unit behind the nightstand to deter unwanted critters. And the textured/catchall mat in the front door is for guests to easily wipe their shoes after a day on the trails, as Bob & Ginny said they were here to do. As mentioned in the PROS, cleanliness is of utmost importance to us. I'm sorry they had a bad experience that could've easily been rectified had they brought it to our attention.
