Owl Getaway perches on a mountain ridge, offering stunning vistas of treetops and beautiful songbirds of the forest. Make a cup of coffee just a few feet away from an amazing view. The chalet is a cozy, private hideaway tucked
into the hillside.
It is a quaint open floor plan with one full bathroom. All
linens and towels are provided for your stay, so pack
light -- or bring your winter gear and enjoy the ski
slopes at Whitetail Ski Resort!
There is a long, flat, private, paved driveway.
Owl Getaway is the perfect place for a relaxing evening roasting marshmallows under a blanket watching the majestic sunset..... Perfection!

What an amazing stay! The Host's were absolutely amazing, they thought of everything to make our stay incredible. Very helpful and friendly. The cabin was clean and absolutely perfect. We look forward to booking here again in the future! Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Everything was outstanding - the location, the view, the cabin, its amenities, the privacy, the price- and made the experience well-worth it. The owners' thoughtfulness in every aspect was evident. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

My husband and I just stayed for 3 nights and loved everything about this cabin. Everything was clean and comfortable. The sunset views were amazing. There is a small propane grill out back as well, which wasn't on the listing.

This cabin was perfect for my dog and me! I love a simple, non-cluttered space that has everything I need. Beautiful interior and exterior. Far away from any other homes; faint noise of the occasional car on the road far above the cabin. The whole space was clean, including the bathroom that has a shower stall and toilet as well as the kitchen (where the cabin's sink is). Climbing the ladder to the loft bed is not for the weak or claustrophobic; and if you plan to use the sofa bed, I can't comment on it. I would definitely recommend!

Very private, clean. The cabin is fairly run down, a slight smell. It was hard to find in the dark. There were dog hairs on the pull out couch and the bbq was still dirty from a prevoius visitor and smelled awful. The view is exactly what was pictured from the porch, so when they say amazing view, it is of just the trees not the mountain view we were hoping for.Disappointed

The house was very clean and organized. The check in was smooth and proper instructions were given before hand. The hosts were very helpful. The house was a very relaxing stay and I would be happy to return.

The cabin was so cute and met our needs. We loved how remote it was. A few things were slightly disappointing.1. I wish there was a fan and table on the front porch. 2. The couch would collapse on us as a sofa bed. 3. The screens were ripped in places on the porch.

Such a gem!

We stayed at Perched in the Trees to celebrate our anniversary. It was perfect! Such a lovely retreat that feels so far away and secluded, but is close to great food and attractions. We were especially impressed with our takeout dinner (the crab cakes were delicious!) from Jimmy Joy’s, which we enjoyed eating on the screened porch. A cardinal’s nest right outside the screened porch was an unexpected delight! Sunset was beautiful over the valley! The cabin itself was thoughtfully appointed, clean, and perfect for our one night away. One heads up that there are motion lights outside. We didn’t notice these during the day (because they’re also seemingly dusk-to-dawn only) and when they lit up after we were in bed (probably from an animal), it was a little alarming.

love this place!

I really enjoyed staying at the Owl Getaway and didn't want to leave when my time was up. It was a perfect little place to get away: Secluded and quiet (except for being able to hear traffic on the road above - though it doesn't get a lot of traffic). The screened-in porch among the trees is great! The listing is literal when it says "shower only" for the bathroom: It not only means no tub, but that the sink is in the kitchen. I'll also say that I did drink the tap water, too, in case anyone is wondering if it's safe to drink.

Cozy little cabin

My husband and I stayed in this charming little cabin for the weekend. It is perfect for just 2 people. The cabin only has one sink (the kitchen sink) and the refrigerator is small but that was ok since it was just the two of us. The cabin is in a private setting, and we truly felt secluded from the rest of the world. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to nature. We would definitely stay again!
