The unit from the outside looks very old Florida and we didn’t realize it was behind another house and in front of a large storage building. Yet immaculate and contemporary inside. Had all the basics we needed. Nice furniture and easy walk to downtown. Quiet location. Host Jim answered us quickly when we had questions. A cozy place that fit our wants.

Great for a busy trip!

We stayed there for Welcome to Rockville and it was the perfect size. We really just needed a place to sleep and relax, it was a great size and the house was within walking distance to some good coffee shops!

Great little cottage in town

What a wonderful cottage. It's perfect for one or two people and very quiet. Location is wonderful, just off Canal Street and walking distance to restaurants. The host greeted me within minutes of my arrival, but I had everything needed before hand to get in. I'll definitely go back.

The cottage has two heaters one in the bedroom and one in the front room. The-only one that worked was in the bedroom and pointed directly on the head of the bed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights the temperature dipped into the low 30s. I got sick and had to go to urgent care to find out that I had, and still have,bronchitis. None of the windows in the cottage open. I had to wash out two dirty pots to cook in. There was no kitchen table. The overhead light in the kitchen had no cover and had a 3 inch chain to pull to turn it on. I have pictures if you would like to see them. The code for the key and the password for Wi-Fi we’re supposed to be given to me before I arrive, but I didn’t get them until after I arrived.

Far from a cottage

This is more of a run down shack with many safety issues that need addressed. We refused to stay and had to scramble to find other accommodations. Very disappointing.

Dawn, I apologize that you feel that way. There was a lightswitch missing a cover, and I offered to send our handyman once you told me - after you'd already been checked in for 5 hours.

Cute Comfy Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage, it was in a great location for us. Loved the safety of the property, great lighting and cameras on site. Must say bathroom was small, but we made it work. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and enjoying the morning or evening. Well stocked with towels and necessary items. Loved that is was in a historic area. Staff and property manager was wonderful! Definitely would do again!!!

Cute little cottage in historic downtown New Smyrna Beach.

My stay had been scheduled prior to the hurricane hitting the area. The cottage fared well without damage. The host, maintained contact prior to my visit, keeping me informed of the fluid events. Aside from the local devastation, I was able to assist and visit with friends in the New Smyrna Beach area. I will return. Hopefully during calmer circumstances.
