JUST ONE BOCK TO BEACH. PRIVATE HOUSE WITH LARGE BACK YARD

Make some memories at this mid century modern old Florida unique and family-friendly cottage. Get the feel of old Florida with this unique house .Sunset Joy is located in the beautiful crystal beach area of Destin, just a short one block to the beach and you enjoy the white sand and emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

Sunset Joy has a full kitchen and a grill for eating in. There are many restaurants within 2 miles of the house.

The Space

You’ll enjoy its cozy layout featuring the kitchen, the dining area and a living room as you enter into the house.

The Master bed room has a King bed with a flat screen TV. The other bed room has two Queen beds and a flat screen TV. There is a flat screen TV in the living room as well. The full bath room is adjacent to both bed rooms .

The property comes with full washer and dryer.

There is park style grill on the property for guest use.

There is ONE parking spot for guests
Other things to note
We provide high speed internet access. Each TVs are equipped with Roku devices and we encourage you to use your own Netflix , Hulu or any other service provider account to stream shows.
This property does not offer cable TV .

Spring Break

We love staying in this area away from the super touristy stuff and a beautiful beach. House was perfect for our needs with enough space that we aren’t on top of each other. Apologies for not getting the trash out as I didn’t notice the note until it was too late!

Cute house, great location. Dirty and bad internet.

We arrived late in the evening after a million stops with our kids. Checking in and entering the property was easy, nothing out of the ordinary. The house was in a fantastic location close to everything. We couldn’t have asked for a better location. Outside space was perfect for our children who played outside any time we were there, rode their scooters all over the neighborhood, and overall had a great time. The home is true to pictures. Older, quaint, small, but completely adorable. The beds we’re comfortable, the appliances worked well, and the overall functionality of the house was perfect. Right off the bat, however, the floors were noticeably dirty. I don’t mean a few spot here and there. I mean literally any time my kids walked with no shoes on (which was often) the bottoms their feet were black within minutes. It was very obvious the home had only had the surfaces wiped down and linens changed but nothing to the floors. I put off sweeping the floor until the next morning as we were all exhausted from a long day of traveling and needed to rest. The next morning I swept the entire house and the resulting pile of dirt, dust, white/grey hairs and pills from under the beds and dressers was alarming. More alarming since we had very small children with us. Thankfully the broom and small mop were available to us so I spent an hour the first morning making sure the floors were cleaner and safer for us all. (I will also note here that we have 4 small mess making children so our standards are not unreasonably high by any stretch.) My only other real complaint (?) would be that the internet is shoddy at best. This should definitely be looked into as more than 1 tv or device couldn’t stream at the same time. This made it very difficult when attempting to do any work from the house. While the amount of work needing to be done was admittedly minimal, the one time we had to remotely access our business’ computers to fix an issue, it proved impossible using the house’s Wi-Fi. Overall, we did still have a great stay. We had an amazing family getaway and we all came home happy which is our only real concern. We would definitely rent again in the future as the size of the house and amenities and proximity to the beach were great. However, professional housekeeping and upgraded Wi-Fi would greatly improve the experience. *One last thing* There were plenty of towels and hand towels for us, but only 1 single, solitary wash cloth for 6 people.

I am glad you had a great time . As far the floors , in the beach environment guests bring lot of sand into the house as they come and go unknowingly . Especially with four small children , one can see how lot of sand was brought in . Feet does become dirty . It’s a common problem at the beach . I own a number of properties and I wish there was a fix for it We have taken care of lack of kitchen towel yiu mentioned .
