Family Get Together

We hadn’t been all together for a long time. It was time to mend feelings and have a wonderful experience. This house is so nice and has an amazing pool. A cardinal visited each day while we sat out back.

Relaxing location

Perfect location between Houston & Galveston. The home had everything we needed. Relaxing backyard with pool to enjoy the sun. Home was clean, comfy beds and kitchen was well stocked. Host was quick to respond with any questions.

Great Location and Cute, but needs work

The house was in a great area. It has a brand new fence, which was wonderful when the dogs were in the backyard. The house was decorated very cute. Lots of places to sleep. If the following issues are fixed, I would stay here again.However, it was not clean. The kitchen counter was covered in dead ants. There were old stains and crumbs that just need elbow grease to clean on the counters. The inside of the fridge was dirty. There is active termite activity above the master shower window. The master shower window is stuffed around the edges with old, gross paper towels. There is a large crack in the sitting room ceiling and a large hole in the guest bathroom by the shower.The backyard was a good size and had a nice pool. But the yard was a mess. It had pool toys strewn everywhere and the patio had chairs all over the place. There was trash all over too, i.e. beer bottle caps, dirty baby socks. The dogs were constantly finding trash and bringing it to us to throw away.

Softball Team House

The house was a perfect fit for our men’s softball team & significant others. House was clean upon arrival with clear instructions. The guest book & games were a nice addition. We all appreciated having a TV in each bedroom, washer/dryer & kitchen utensils. We enjoyed our time in the pool however the bees & hornets were pretty bad as well as the deteriorating privacy fence in the backyard.

Terrible!

The only good thing about this house was the pool but the mosquitos were so bad we couldn’t be out there long. There were very limited supplies, we had to buy many things. The pictures are not current. The fence is falling down in 3 places. I’m glad I ended up not taking my dogs as planned, they would have gotten out! The entire place was filthy and full of bugs when we arrived. The master tub was full of termites & ants and my little one had to take baths in there since there’s no plug for the other tub. We woke up to a cockroach on us in the master bed so we packed up & left. The host would not refund our 2 nights left and accused me of lying about it, even though I sent a picture of the roach! I would not recommend anyone stay here!

Hurricane Beryl

We got there on Saturday 7/6/24.and were scheduled to stay until Thursday 7/11/24. The property looked fine like the pictures on VRBO. We enjoyed the pool and the boardwalk on Saturday and Sunday. But then, it all changed when Hurricane Beryl hit in the middle of the night. We lost power at 5am Monday morning, the street in front of the house was like a river, all three sides of the fence had a section blown down from the high winds, the pool was overflowing and had dirt, leaves and who knows what else floating in it. So, we decided to start packing up to leave after not having power for 7 hours. At one point, we had to deal with a bug infestation in the master bath tub and window as well. As we were heading out of town, my husband called VRBO to see about getting a refund for the remaining days that we would not be staying. The person he was talking to was in Egypt, so we had to prove to them that there was a hurricane by sending pictures and a news story about it. He told her the situation and said that we would like a refund for the days we did not stay. We could not let our dog outside with the fence down, our daughter and we could not swim in the filthy pool, the whole area had no power, so no groceries, gas, etc. She called the owner and he would not give a refund because "he had other properties there and those people stuck it out". My husband texted him directly and still he would not refund anything! IT WAS A HURRICANE! WE WANT A REFUND FOR 2 DAYS! Not asking a lot!

Very comfortable home away from home

50 yo cple and 17yo dtr from Austin traveled to see the Johnson Space Center - this was a perfect place for us to stay and feel comfortable with our precious dog in tow. The pool was wonderful, the backyard was large with lush grass. We ate crab legs, rode the rollercoaster on Kemah Boardwalk (also dog-friendly, but consider the ground heat on bare paws), swam in the pool every day, and loved being so close to these locations and the Space Center, which remember, was our main draw. The home, linens, towels, kitchen, and bathrooms were all clean and comfortable and the lawn manicured, but under the furniture and the ceiling fans needed attention. We wouldn't have really noticed if we hadn't lost a dog toy under the couch. I would definitely stay here again - and go back to the Space Center!!!

Great getaway!

We enjoyed our time in Seabrook! It was a great family getaway and the house had everything we needed. We enjoyed cooling off in the pool and the fully equipped kitchen.

Bugs/ filthy bbq

Twice master bath shower invaded by flying insects, had to use spray. Living and dining areas had dead rolls Polly bugs everywhere. Could not go outside much do to mosquitoes everywhere. Would not stay here again nor recommend to anyone.

Great place with nice pool!

We really enjoyed our stay here. This place was spacious and had everything we needed. Make sure to bring your own coffee. We brought a few citronella candles in addition to the ones that were already at the property, which we were glad we had. Would definitely recommend this place.

Perfect house and perfect location

Our family decided to travel to Kemah for a much needed mini-vacation. This house was perfect for that and so much more. The pool was an added perk for my kids. The location was perfect. So close to everything we wanted to do. We would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Enjoyable Stay with Valuable Lessons in Old Seabrook

We recently enjoyed an 18-night stay here in March 2024, coinciding with our son's wedding. The location was great: close to NASA, where the newlyweds work, and offered easy access to nice trails, local restaurants, and coffee shops. Points of Appreciation: Location & Amenities: The proximity to walking/biking trails and dining options in Old Seabrook was a highlight. Additionally, having a TV in every room provided personal relaxation spaces throughout our stay. Considerations for Future Guests: Supplies: For extended stays, consider bringing additional supplies. Initial provisions included limited kitchen, bathroom, and laundry essentials. When we arrived for an 18-day stay, there were 2 kitchen garbage bags, 2 dishwasher pods, a tiny dish soap, hotel-size shampoo and conditioner, 4 rolls of toilet paper, 2 laundry soap pods, and 4 dryer sheets. Hand soap was more water than soap. Pool Heating Fee: Clarify pool heating arrangements before booking. We encountered an unexpected fee for pool heating, a detail not disclosed upfront. Ensure all payments go through VRBO to comply with their policies. Yard Maintenance: Be cautious of weeds and occasional wasps near the patio. Pro Tip Property Condition Documentation: Take photos and videos when you arrive and leave. (and while you are there, if you notice things) Also, keep all chats in the VRBO inbox. This protects you and the host and will provide a clear record.

Nice but Small

A good place to stay with small children but for the elderly not so good. Bathrooms are not handicap accessible, and there is a step down parlor room area. But for young people it's great.

Family wedding

Worked well for our group of 4 adults and 3 kids ages 6 and twins who are 4. Overall, the owner was responsive to our needs. It would have been helpful to have access to more paper towels, garbage bags, laundry and dishwasher soap and toilet paper. As a family of 7 including kids…things got used up fast. We did get a restock of garbage bags when the property manger came to give us hangers as there were only a few that appeared to be left by people. We found out that the property had wooden hangers but there were none. It’s sad that people don’t care for rentals like their own homes. There is a lot to do in the area but most of our time was spent hanging with family.
