We loved our week at this cottage! It is beautiful and well maintained. Spacious kitchen with all of the amenities needed. Bath towels and bed linens were nice quality. Definitely would stay here again!!

Family Vacation 2025

The house is roomy, well maintained & had everything we needed. Sheila is very responsive with any questions. The location is great & the lake is clean. Convenience store, deli & restraunt are close. We brought our fishing boat to dock with close easy access to Grand Lake & Lake Huron. Our adventures included Rogers City, beach area, lighthouse & Knaebe's Mmmunchy Krunchy Apple Farm (great woodfire pizza and fun for our grandson). Alpena Mich-e-ke-wis Park has nice beach, park & splash pad. Dinosaur gardens just a little farther in Ossineke is nice too. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Grand Lake Getaway

The house is newly remodeled and beautiful down to the last detail! It is also well stocked for all your needs. We loved exploring the area including salmon fishing from Roger City, snorkeling ship wrecks from Alpena, hanging out on Grand Lake and biking local trails and roads. Sheila is very easy to work with.

Family reunion

We had a family reunion at my sister's cabin on the other side of Grand Lake. We used this property for overflow accomodations (6 adults and 4 children). This was a well maintained property, and I wish we had more time there to enjoy all the amenities.

A Grand stay on the Lake

Pictures do not fully capture how nice this house is. Appreciated the well stocked kitchen and cleanliness of entire house. Game area was like a bonus indoor space. Easy drives to Mackinaw City, Alpena & Rogers City.

We really enjoyed our stay at “The lake house” The house is spacious, clean and has a fully stocked kitchen. The house has been recently updated and it’s beautiful! What I really enjoyed about this house is the open floor plan…. Easy for cooking and entertaining your group. It also sits on a very clean lake. We will definitely vacation here again!

Absolutely Beautiful!

The property owners totally made this home a place where there is love in the details. More than I can write here, but we should thoroughly enjoyed the garage where there’s a pool table and darts iand a place to sit and visit, as well as a beautiful fire pit with unlimited firewood. The home is just absolutely beautiful as well. Great place for a family gathering. Homeowners were the best hosts!!!

Lovely lake home

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful lake home. Everything was very clean, welcoming, and convenient with all the many special touches. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need. The layout of the house is roomy and easily accommodated our three-generation gathering. The yard is beautifully landscaped with great parking and privacy fences on either side. The dock worked well for our small fishing boat and canoe. We would definitely recommend renting from Shiela, who was an excellent host in every way.

Excellent!

We had the best time on our four day vacation! This is a gorgeous house with a beautiful yard. We had everything we needed and could not have been more comfortable! I grew up on the east side of Grand Lake, so this was a different perspective for us - and we all loved it. The game room was great on the rainy day. We brought a kayak and SUP, made a bonfire at the lakeside and watched football on the big screen tv. It doesn't get any better than this!

Great stay, beautiful property!

Beautiful property - amazing views! Kitchen and bathrooms very updated. There were 6 adults and 4 kids. We spent a lot of time all together in the kitchen/living room open area. We rented a pontoon on the lake and docked at the house. Fished and swam off the dock. Played yard games. Drove into Presque Isle, Alpena and Rogers City - all easy rides. We had one minor issue with the internet and the owner was very responsive and there to fix it within the hour, which was amazing! Would love to rent again! We come to this area annually and my family said this was their favorite house!

Wonderful home!

We had such a wonderful week at Sheila’s home! The pictures do not even do it justice. The space was perfect for our mix of adults and teens- Grand Lake is a beautiful clear lake and we loved having access to it right there and also being able to keep our boat tied to the dock. Access to the launch was also very close and convenient. Long driveway with plenty pf space for our 4 cars and a boat trailer. We enjoyed floating, swimming, bonfires, and day trips to Rogers City, Alpena, and Rockport. Having three bathrooms was awesome and everyone loved the garage space with the dual-garage doors. Gave you a shady place to hang out and look at the water. The HUGE kitchen island and large dining table were perfect for us! We would have preferred the bedrooms to have some window shades as it would get very bright in the mornings. Sheila was very accommodating and very easy to work with and contact. If we return to this area we would definitely rent this home again!

Lakeside retreat 2023

Having had the pleasure of spending time at this lakeside gem, I can confidently state that it's a testament to thoughtful design and meticulous attention to detail. From the moment you set foot in the property, it's evident that a lot of love and care went into crafting this haven. The house boasts an array of amenities that cater to all sorts of interests and ages. The game room became an instant favorite for our group, with its collection ranging from classic board games to more modern picks. The billiard table, nestled comfortably in a spacious corner, provided hours of fun and friendly competition. Outside, the wheel truck fire pit was a unique and delightful touch, offering the perfect setting for evening conversations, marshmallow roasting, and soaking in the serene views of the lake. One cannot overlook the impressive craftsmanship throughout the house. The deck, with its sturdy build and seamless finish, was the ideal spot to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine, providing uninterrupted vistas of the water. Inside, the kitchen was both functional and aesthetically pleasing, featuring top-of-the-line appliances and a design layout that would make any chef feel right at home. The bathrooms echoed the same commitment to quality, with modern fixtures and pristine finishes that exuded luxury. In conclusion, this house is a shining example of what a lakeside retreat should be - beautifully designed, impeccably clean, and with amenities for all.

We purchased the home because it is next door my family’s property. We spent a winter Renovating and updating everything!

The house is situated on a large lot and provides ample privacy. There is plenty of room for family to gather and enjoy time together. It is also within a fifteen minute drive of a beach and boat harbor on Lake Huron, lighthouses hiking and nature walks.
