Private, ground level basement apartment. Quiet country space, room to play and roam. Trails, mountain biking. Comfy queen bed, Futon sofa bed, large shower, efficiency kitchen, awesome patio. Lots of room outside to play and enjoy nature. Fire pit, stars, owls, whippoorwill. Relax and leave noisy life behind. Efficiency kitchen well appointed. Bed linens and plenty of bath linens provided. Hulu TV, HBO Max, Fiber wifi. Games, cornhole. Close to breweries, Wineries, distilleries, appalachian trail, fishing, hiking, kayaking. Outdoor life is prime here!

We so enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was so cute, clean and just welcoming. Suzy is a wonderful host and the pups made my morning each day as I stepped outside with my coffee. It’s situated on a beautiful peace of land where you can’t help but feel at peace. I came here for a festival and this wonderful little apartment was a great way to unwind and recharge after going all day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything this weekend!!

Beautiful property, home owner very friendly and very responsive to any requests. Close to hiking, distilleries, breweries and wineries.They only issue we had was the lack of AC and airflow in the basementIf you like friendly doggies, they've got some.

Loved being greeted by the fur babies, especially in the morning while sitting outside having my morning coffee! The place is clean and inviting and the bed was very comfy. I wished I had a picture of the doggies sitting in front of me while I was on the rocking chair!

A spot to relax between rehearsal dinner and wedding activities

We’re glad we found Maple Shade Farm for our stay—it was exactly what we were looking for. The basement apartment is unassuming, but also cozy, cool, and safe. It was the perfect home base while attending a family wedding at a nearby winery. Suzy was a thoughtful host—she even left us fresh peaches! Her dogs were all very friendly and got along well with ours when she was out on the property. We really appreciated the air conditioning and the peaceful setting. Grateful for a comfortable and welcoming stay.

Stayed here on my drive across the country. As a female solo traveler, I was nervous about staying somewhere so off the grid but Susanna ensured I felt safe and comfortable from the second my reservation was accepted! I had my dog and cat with me and it was the perfect place for us to rest before completing our journey.I will say that the drive (coming in from the west) was pretty curvy so be prepared! There is also very little cell service so downloading your map ahead of time will come in handy. The dogs on property barked on and off when we arrived but I think they were more curious about my dog than anything. Overall, a nice getaway and would make for a nice country escape!

Peaceful retreat

If you love nature, peace and quiet then this is the place for you! Set back on winding rural roads, the small apartment is surrounded by greenery, animals and nature sounds. Homey and clean, it was exactly what we needed. Wifi and cell coverage was great despite the rural area. I had a Teams mtg. and had no issues at all. Prior to it, sat on the patio and read a book surrounded by birds singing, and the farm dogs hanging out by my side.The apartment was as described in listing. We will return as it's a halfway stop on our way to our grandchild in Charlotte. Thank you, Suzi, for some much needed time away from the outside wordl!!!

Spring Getaway

Great Autumn Stay

Suzy is a superb host who ensured everything was ready. The unit is perfect for a couple with dogs as there is enough room for a couple of crates. It was well kept and had a great location for sight seeing, trout fishing, bird hunting, hiking, and wine tasting which I did when there. Not hard to find at all, but is quiet and off the beaten path enough to enjoy the country. I will be returning.

Good vacation

Great getaway!

I enjoyed my stay at Suzi's! Everything was clean and directions were simple and laid back. Her dogs were great. They greeted me every time i came back to the property. Great views and great mountain air. Highly recommend!!!

Great get-a-way off the beaten path

We loved the scenery, quiet, and somewhat remote location. Cute downtown with great burgers and bourbon. Host is very pleasant and always responsive. Her dogs are adorable -- they liked hanging with us while we enjoyed coffee on the patio but weren't overbearing at the same time. We will certainly be back. Great price too!

Great country get-away

The property was remote but within a half hour of the winery we wanted to visit. It was a great place to relax and unwind at the end of the day. Our host was super nice and the furnishings were clean and comfortable. We also loved how dog friendly it is and our grand dog loved running around with the host’s three dogs. We will be going back!

Cozy and hospitable

Suzy was very welcoming and hospitable. She made sure we were comfortable by giving us all the necessary info before hand so we knew what to expect. Her place is warm and cozy, perfect for folks who want to connect with nature. Our dog got the best welcome from her very friendly pups. We found the overall energy in her place to be very positive.

My name is Suzy. I am semi-retired. I am physically fit, enjoy hiking, biking, swimming, music and adventure. Maple Spring Farm has been my home for thirty years. I have two adult children. My partner lives here with me and helps me maintain the farm. We have three dogs and 6 cats that are free roaming on the farm. All of our pets are friendly with guests and their furry pals. Hosting fun folks on my farm is my pleasure! There is a ton of history to learn and loads of fun to be had here with us!

Maple Spring Farm is remotely located at the end of the road. No one goes past us. It’s a very peaceful place! Nature is louder than anything here. Relaxing, playing, fresh air, beautiful landscape make this a fabulous getaway! The accommodations are comfortable, modern and clean. We will make you feel welcome and right at home.
Have a larger group? We can accommodate two RV’s or tent camping with power and water. There is porta-john available for tent camping. We also have a Historic Dog-trot cabin on the farm listed with VRBO that sleeps 4. Something for just about everyone!

Private, quiet, very friendly for pups and fun folks! We are 420 friendly. Excellent WiFi! Very remote but close to local attractions. Hike and mountain bike right here on the farm. We love hosting artists, hikers, fishing enthusiasts, musicians and just cool folks!
Camping available with power and water. Two spaces for RV’s and tons of tent space!
