After days of exploring, come home to this comfortable retreat that includes a well-equipped, full kitchen, a dining table for mealtimes or game nights, and a comfortable living area with leather sofas and a TV. With a state-of-the-art gas furnace, the home will stay cozy and warm. And back outside, take in glorious sunsets from your private deck. This home also offers internet access and includes a washer/dryer to help you stay on top of your laundry during your stay.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

I was a little concerned about the property and earlier reviews regarding the kitchen/heating. The views are fantastic and it's a nice quiet neighborhood but still just 1 mile to town. The kitchen has all the stuff we needed. Earlier reviews commented on spices and lack of coffee maker, both of which have been addressed. There is salt/pepper/sugar/coffee maker and filters. TV/internet/washer/dryer/oven all worked great for us. The heat worked just fine, although the remote for the split heater is a bit dim to see. One section of the bench for the dining table needs replacement and one of the beds is super soft/saggy and there is a strong dog smell but that is expected with a pet friendly rental. We would stay again!

Beautiful views of the Bay! Located in a quiet and friendly neighborhood that is within walking distance of Birch Bay State Park. Easy to get to Bellingham, Ferndale, Lynden, Blaine, and Canada.

Beautiful view perfect location

The view can not be beat! Very nice 2 bedroom house with 2 bathrooms. Kitchen was nice to have, really nice dining area with a view.

Beautiful view

This place is a bit off the beaten path but well worth the drive. The view is absolutely amazing. Nice quiet neighborhood. Make sure to bring your favorite spices and bring your own toiletries. They did provide hotel size shampoo,conditioner and soap. Which is ok for a weekend stay. We really enjoyed our week at this home.

The home was NOT clean. For example, the dishes were put away dirty, there was food stuck all over the sink strrainer, and and there was a spoon down the garbage disposal. The TV and internet did not work. When we reported that to VACASA, they said they have never had a complaint about the TV or internet before and they did nothing to help. Moving forward, we will NEVER rent a home if VACASA is involved.

Great View Of Birch Bay

It was a great place to stay for us, particularly because of the location of a recent family gathering. View of the Bay was beautiful. The home was comfortable for us. There are newer and larger homes in the neighborhood which didn't bother us. One bed was perfect (for me), the other was firmer than what daughter liked. Furnace worked great for the one cool night/morning. Was able to "eagle watch" in nearby trees. Awesome!

Don’t waste your money

We have stayed at a fair number of rental properties and this was THE WORST - and one of the most expensive. Captured by the view, we were instantly disappointed to find the was no outdoor furniture to enjoy it. No chairs to sit in and no table to eat outside. It got worse when we realized how dirty the inside was. Layers of dust on everything, stains on the walls, carpet, and blankets. The smell was dusty and damp - which was made worse when we turned on the wall AC unit. We had an immediate reaction to the dust with our eyes watering. One bed is rock hard and the other feels like it’s decades old. All of the furniture is cheap and falling apart. The dining set was so uncomfortable to sit at - the bench has springs sticking out. When it came time to cook, the stove smoked until I cleaned the burners, the toaster didn’t work, and the kitchen was barely stocked enough to make it useable. After a few nights of horrible sleep, we checked out early.

great view, nice location but a few caveats

Lovely little remodeled home with a good view and yard, nice kitchen and dining area, cute decor. Drawbacks for us were that it smells like an old basement and made all our clothes and luggage smell. The yard is mostly fenced, but not fully, so keep an eye on dogs and children, and most especially because the decks are dangerous (signs say to use at your own risk) because there are 4-5 dropoffs and absolutely no railing. And keep in mind that the bedrooms are just that - rooms with a bed, no lamp or side tables, nowhere to put phone, etc. Overall ok, but not sure we would stay here again.

Worst vacation rental ever

No heat, no internet, broken bed, very unsafe yard porch and deck. When reported to Vacasa, they lied and said the neighborhood had a power outage and that was problem. We asked the neighbors and no power outages lately. For the bed, they wanted us to remove the mattress and take photos. Not able to lift mattress. Guess they don’t care about us, their customers.. will never book again with Vacasa. And beware, the same house is listed on similar website for an even higher price. The only good thing about the place was the view, but you had to stand up the whole time to enjoy it. Right down street we found an awesome place with a better view, everything worked and super friendly helpful people. BEWARE!

It was quiet. The view was good. The house is small with a small backyard & no access to the water. There were 3 hard plastic chairs (there were 4 of us) No ice maker so had to buy ice. The seating area in front of the fireplace is small & the 2 pcs of furniture aren't comfortable. There are unsafe areas: the graveled steps down to the front door. The large deck had no rails, neither did the steps to the yard or the narrow space outside the sliding doors, the tall evergreens at the driveway entrance make it impossible to see either way when leaving the property. The picture of the turn around area is deceiving, it's very small. Some improvements would make this a much better place to stay.

Left early

We arrive to the heating off and the house 50 degrees. Even with it on full blast it didn’t warm up until around midnight (6 hours later) and floors didn’t warm up the entire time we were there. No coffee provided, except for days-old coffee left in the pot from the last guest. Disgusting. Beds were comfy but all other furniture was rock hard, oddly placed, and made it feel very unwelcoming in the space. The view was nice, but there was nowhere to sit and enjoy it outside other than some plastic and semi-broken lawn chairs. Couldn’t get in contact with Vacasa the entire time we were there. Won’t book Vacasa in the future and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to.

Not what I expected

I was disappointed. The house is showing its age - floors are soft, the flooring made cracking noises, and our dogs kept listening and sniffing at something moving under the floors by the sliders. There was no documentation specific to the house, like a 'welcome' booklet with info like where the garbage cans were. Cooking utensils were not clean, and the flatware was minimalistic - not even a quarter of a full set. Several non-stick pans were missing significant amount of the non-stick coating and were unusable. we discovered by accident that the coffee pot is not modern enough to have a timed shutoff, which could cost you your asset. 40 bucks on Amazon would resolve this. The dining room seating was broken down and painful to sit on for any length of time. In fact none of the furniture was comfortable to sit on. I did see one previous review from July of 2024 mentioning the 3 Adirondak chairs on the deck being broken and precarious to sit on, followed by a 'the local management will address these conditions' type of reply. The chairs were no longer there, so I guess the problem was solved. Finally, the decks are hazardous, lacking railings and handrails along the stairs.I get the house is old, and it may have a bit of charm left. It would be well worth your investment to replace the decrepit furniture and stock it with respectable kitchen items so cooking and eating does not induce 'cringe'.

Quiet location. Beautiful view.

I had a wonderful weekend away. The view over the bay is beautiful. Neighborhood is nice and quiet. Home is cozy and inviting. Bedding was super comfy.
