Tranquile and secluded yet only 15 minutes to historic Schenectady or Amsterdam and 45 minutes to beautiful Saratoga and famouse Saratoga Race Course - a Thoroughbred horse racing track, the oldest major sporting venue of any kind in the US. The house is handycapped accessible.

2nd year we've stayed and it's still a glorious place to be

As I wrote last year - I love this house - my parents and I truly enjoyed our 2 weeks again this summer. Olga is a fantastic host and delivered above and beyond. I most definitely recommend her and her home for your vacation needs!

Mariaville Lake escape.

Wonderful stay at a very well equipped VRBO property. The cleanliness was particularly impressive and we loved being right on the lake. A nice touch was when we walked in the front door and saw wine, cheese, and apples awaiting us on the dining room table. Very nice.

Impeccable property and courteous management!

We had a wonderful experience from even before we got there! Olga has been amazing and helpful, she was very quick to answer all our questions from the very beginning and throughout our stay. The house itself is beautiful and spacious and had everything we needed. Even with our large family we had plenty of space. The lake was definitely the highlight of the trip. My kids were by the water all day, and made good use of the provided water activities, such as tubes and kayaks and other inflatables. Even though we had a short stay and wished we could stay longer, we had a great time and would definitely come back!

Fabulous lake stay

This property was a great find, close to Amsterdam and Schenectady. The house is really lovely, well laid out and very handicap accessible due to wide doors, good size shower with small step over and plenty of grab bars. The Sun room at front is fantastic for just relaxing and looking out at the lake. Fishing, swimming and kayaking all from the property. My grandkids of two three year olds and a 6 year old had no trouble accessing the lake to play and swim as it is very shallow at the property edge. There are two kayaks which we used every day. This is probably the best stocked kitchen for pots, pans, dishes etc than any rental I have stayed at. Tons of spices and there is a Traeger pellet grill that we used several days. The owner Olga is really really nice and very responsive to questions and messages through the website. We loved our stay and would definitely book this property again.

So relaxing......

My parents and I were lucky enough to be able to take a 2 week vacation at Olga's beautiful home. It had EVERYTHING we needed which made it extra special. The sun porch overlooking the lake is the best place for coffee in the morning or a late afternoon cocktail! During the day if you need to get out of the sun the breeze on the 'doll house' porch is amazing. We really enjoyed our stay and Olga was very quick to respond if we had any questions. We were surprised at how good the lake store's submarines were as well as their square pizza. We also enjoyed Poppy's ice cream and Wagon Train BBQ. I think the only disappointment for us was getting into the water. There's no steps or path into the water so you have to be young and agile to navigate the rocks. Otherwise we really really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks for sharing your home Olga (and family) - I hope all is well. Best - Allison

Gem by the lake

This was one of the best stay in our VRBO career. The property is spacious, clean and very well maintained. Inside we found everything we need and even more. Starting with pans, pots, cups, plates, bowls, utensils, shelves full of spices and condiments. Washer, dryer, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker - you name it - you got it. Pellet grill is also a nice touch. With heated, screened porch available we didn't think long choosing a place to dine. And the view... The porch is so close to the lake that sitting on the doorstep you can almost dip your feet in the water. Olga is a polite, well mannered and communicative person. She was very helpful and answered all our questions in a timely manner. We absolutely love this property and will definitely return for summer vacation.

Heaven seems a little closer in a house besides a water. This home is on a private lake, which you can see from every room of the house. At any point you can step in your backyard and jump into water, get sun-tanned on private shore and enjoy the nature. Fishing, birdwatching, hiking and more! Very quiet area to get de-stressed and feel away from civilization back to origin. Yet it is only 45 mins to beautiful Saratoga and famous Saratoga Race Cource, 15 mins to Rivers Casino and historic Schenectady.

I fell in love with my house from the first sight. The lake view from living room just took my breath away. Open airy spacious floor plan with vaulted ceiling is perfect for warm family and friends gatherings. Clean unpolluted air, surreal sunsets, bright stars at night and rich wild life around add extra benefits to this property. I hope you enjoy staying at this place as much as I do. The house is handicapped accessible since it was built with such person in mind.
