One of the nicest properties we've stayed in. Awesome setting, very relaxing, and they've spared no expense. The fresh, locally produced donuts and ice cream were a very pleasant surprise......and much enjoyedHighly recommend

5 Stars all around!Our group simply adored the cabin for a weekend get together! The property is well maintained and the accommodations suit us perfectly.The hosts are a pure pleasure to deal with and everything is as advertised. The housewarming gifts were greatly appreciated!Simply couldn't ask for anything better.

The Dunn's were great hosts. Speedy communication for a few easy questions we had prior to arrival and a great home. Beds were very comfortable and the amenities were vast and varied. Everything from a Blackstone to a Hot Tub to a Pac Man machine. The lower level living area fit our group of 11 with ease and was still plenty roomy. Check-in and out was a breeze!

The cabin was very clean and spacious. The host was prompt to answer questions and very hospitable. The yard had abundant space for all of the outdoor games we brought with us. Excellent gathering space around a fire pit with wood provided. As a group of 10 guys for our trip we never felt like we were a disturbance to neighbors given the private nature of the property. The kitchen was stocked with all pots pans and utensils needed to prepare a meal. Overall we would recommend this cabin and potentially stay here again for trips in the future.

Check-in was a snap. The cabin was super clean and beautiful. All the appliances were top notch and everything worked perfectly. Our group met for a family reunion and we came from hundreds of miles from all directions. We all agreed this place was perfect. If you are looking for a super nice place to stay in western Michigan, put this location on your list.

Best place to stay!

We had an amazing weekend there. The host was wonderful and sweet. The house had everything you could ever need.We will be going again next years! 12/10 stars!!

Amazing property!

We booked this property for a family Christmas celebration. Everything about our experience went smoothly. The host was very accommodating and responsive throughout the entire experience. The property is beautiful, spacious and well maintained. Highly recommend this property. We would certainly book it again.

Was a great place to stay for 8 person golf weekend.

Played at the 3 different courses associated with Gull Lake Golf Resort. This was place worked really well with our group of 8. The house had plenty of room for all of us and was very well taken care of and clean.The outside setting with the hot tub and fire pit was great. Will be definitely adding this place to our list. The car ride was about 25 minutes to the golf course for you golf trip planners.

Great stay

We had a great time at this cabin. Very well stocked with everything we needed. We took the kayaks out on the pond and also took them out on Pine Lake, really enjoyed all the outdoor games they had on hand. The deck was amazing for all of us to hang out in the evenings. We did a bonfire one night and used the hot tub. Great gathering place for our family get together over Memorial Day weekend.

Hidden Gem

This has to be one of the most pleasant getaway experiences I’ve ever experienced. The property is everything we want to experience with friends and family. The various games and of course the hot tub keeps the young people and kids entertained while we enjoy the back deck for relaxation. Highly recommended and perfect in every way!

Fantastic Stay

My husband and I stayed in this amazing log cabin home with 11 of our friends for a gravel bike race in nearby Martin, MI and we could not have asked for a better experience. The house was large and spacious for our group and we never felt crowded. Chris and Christy the hosts were so accommodating and answered every question we had. The grounds are lovely and we really enjoyed watching all the animals that roamed the property! I strongly recommend staying here when visiting that part of Michigan!

Perfect family vacation

Words do not do this place justice. Absolutely phenomenal cabin with more amenities than we could have ever imagined. The owners were extremely helpful at ensuring we had anything we could possibly need. The wildlife on the property was stunning. One of the best trips and most memorable we have all had. Don’t wait and just book this place. Will absolutely be back! Thanks again for everything Christy and Doug!

Our group of friends have been staying at the cabin annually for 3 years now and enjoy it immensely. It has always been clean and the hosts have always been attentive to any needs that arise during our stay. The kitchen facilities and amenities provided are top notch and the entire property is well kept. Everyone loves the evenings on the back deck to unwind and the open kitchen/dining/living room area for meals, drinks and conversation. We love the remote privacy of the location while being just minutes away from our primary destination and local dining. Things we appreciate... the welcome package, the country decor, the local wildlife and the fruit orchard. A couple of us even remarked "it feels good to be home". :-)

A very nice cabin in a quiet location

This a nice cabin located on many acres. It is away from a country road and is very quiet. The setting is very pretty and we regularly saw wildlife visit the lawn. The cabin is very reminiscent of one that would be found in the mountains. The has a theme decor that is well done. The cabin in quite large and could accommodate several people without seeming crowded. The hosts are very responsive and communicate regularly about your needs and plans. I high recommend this property to anyone wants a quiet location in this region.

Perfect Getaway

When we first walked through the home, my exact words were "amazing!". The master bed and bath was plenty spacious for the wife and I along with our young granddaughter. The other guest were enamored with their accomodations and thought the place was just perfect for our weekend together. The deck was one of several favorite gathering places. The fire pit out back was an instant hit. Everything was beyond our expectations and the hosts were very responsive to any inquiry we had. We hope to stay again and look forward to it!

If I could give this rental 6 stars, I would! The host has curated so many thoughtful details throughout the home that we were able to immerse into our vacation as anything we might have needed was provided. Not only were so many amenities provided, but the quality of everything was high end and in as close to new condition. The home felt like our own private resort and had plenty of space for our large group and spread out enough when. Folks did want some space we weren't on top of each other. I would absolutely book this place again and recommend it to others. The owner was also very organized and left the most helpful host binder we've seen so far, and communicated in a friendly and timely manner. The kitchen ware, games, nature viewing, and overall ambiance are unmatched by other hosts. Everyone in our group was so impressed from the moment we walked in and throughout our stay

Try it, you’ll like it!

I can’t think of a negative thing about this place , except that maybe having to wear shoes out back due to the poop from the wildlife that add to the pleasure of this place😁! Sitting on the back upper deck, lookin out over the backyard and lily pond is so peaceful and private! Huge backyard gives lots of room for yard games along with a fire pit! There are a ton of games for inside and outside! Definitely the most well stocked rental we’ve been too. And the beautiful Pine Lake is only a couple miles to take the kayaks or rent a pontoon! (No beaches though that I know of). Pictures definitely show how nice the place is! Very very clean!! And the owners are very quick to respond and very helpful! We had such a good time there!!

Little bit of Heaven in Plainwell

We've been vacationing as a family (my husband and I and kids/grandkids) for the past 10 years. Normally we stay closer to Lake Michigan, but I've been noticing we spent more time home than at the beach. So for 2025 I decided to widen my search for a home large enough to house us all (this trip, there were 10 of us). From the minute we pulled up we were amazed by the setting. The back deck was our favorite place. Watching the deer and the geese and looking out at all the nature. The house itself.....my daughter said it felt like we had traveled to an Aunt's house...and the aunt had prepared the house the house specifically to make us have a wonderful trip. The kitchen was stocked with so many things! The owner left treats out for the grandkids and the makings for ice cream for our family. We just felt so welcomed. Plenty of towels....the bed linens were fabulous. I need to reach out to the owner to find out the brand name of the sheets, as they felt like butter on your skin! We will be returning...maybe next time with friends to enjoy this lovely place! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

AMAZING property

This property was amazing! We loved every second of it and so many extras included. Plenty of bedrooms/beds. Extra air mattresses already there for those who wanted to not share. So many extras provided from fully stocked kitchen (with extra ice), dish towels, coffee/cups, garbage bags. Bonus having laundry washer already stocked with detergent. Bathrooms were gorgeous with lots of space! Plenty of room for large families to all eat together. Cooking was a blast on the blackstone. We cooked all of our meals and it was so easy. Plus there is a grill as well. Both with full propane tanks. Tons of outdoor games. Kids especially loved the ping pong table in the garage. The hot tub was a huge hit as well. There’s beautiful horses next door and across the street. The huge fire pit with wood provided had plenty of space to hang out and enjoy. We did use the kayaks that were provided. We attempted Pine Lake (2 min away) but with having a large group and kids, there wasn’t anywhere to sit and keep an eye on the kids, as most of Pine Lake is on private property. We ventured over to Gunn Lake (about 15 min) and kids were able to go out on and we also rented paddle boards. We also went over to Gull Lake (20 min) and rented a pontoon boat with inter tube for tubing. It was AMAZING! The lake is enormous and probably the CLEANEST lake I have EVER seen. Only 1bummer is fishing from the pond. Too many Lilly pads, but there is a boat to try to go out further. Regardless 10/10. You will love!

We’re so happy you had such a great time and we appreciate how well you took care of the cabin while you are here! We didn’t get our DNR permits in on time to treat the lily pads this year as they are protected in Michigan, however, we’ve already been in talks with a pond lake management company where they will get those and hit it early spring next year. We are also getting a floating dock installed for next spring which will make the pond so much more accessible. We hope to see you back next year ❤️

The property had everything that you could think of that you may need. There was even a little toy chest for our little ones in the basement. There were lots of outdoor games in the garage as well. The property was next to horse stables so you could see horses when you were outside. The host was very responsive to questions.
