Experience a variety of beaches: Beckerwitz is nestled in the typical terminal moraine landscape of northwestern Mecklenburg with its gentle hills. Just 1 to 3 km away from “Villa Jo-Kla-Da,” you can explore beaches of various types and levels of traffic. The natural Baltic Sea beach, with its alternating steep cliffs and willow bushes reaching right up to the shore, is about a 5-minute drive north. To the west, a winding footpath leads through the Mecklenburg countryside toward the sea; after about a 20-minute walk, visitors arrive at a pebble beach on the edge of a small beech forest. The most beautiful beaches with fine sand stretch for about 3 km along the Wohlenberger Wiek. You can reach the bay in about 10 minutes by car heading west. The shallow waters of this bay offer ideal conditions for swimming and for small children to play in the Baltic Sea. It is also a popular spot for surfers.
