The whole group will enjoy easy access to everything from this centrally located shoreline home. Steps from the harbor, walkable to the town beach and new splash pad (perfect for little kids), a quarter of a mile from the train station, and less than a mile to the town center and many restaurants.

Enjoy AC, heat, smart TVs, wifi, and appliances powered by the sun. Solar panels and two Tesla powerwalls run the home. You can be comfortable and help save our planet.

We have never stayed at a more well-appointed property. Everything was pretty much perfect: the location, fenced-in backyard, Jacob's Beach, spacious rooms, comfy beds, well-stocked kitchen, plenty of linens. I've never had the desire to return to a property...until now.

Nancy and here family were a pure pleasure to host. Nothing brings a smile to a host more than hearing young kids laughing and have fun in a back yard. Pure joy. They left the home in fantastic condition. I wish VRBO had a setting that would allow for selected guest to automatically book a stay. Nancy would be the first person on that list. Needless to say they are welcome back at any time.

Guilford getaway

House was comfortable, clean and full of modern amenities. Ideal location to beach and town. Our host Phillip Johnson could not have been nicer and so accommodating. We would definitely stay there again

Family Weekend

This was the perfect place for us to gather with family. Beautifully renovated and furnished older home, very comfortable and great location near town and the water.

Family Holidays

The location is amazing and the size of the house was perfect for our extended family. A stones throw to the waterfront and short walk or drive to the picturesque Guilford green with plenty of restaurants and shopping.

Wonderful weekend saty

This is a great property and the owner was very friendly and cooperative. It's a great location near the Guilford Harbor and in walking distance of the town beach. Highly recommend.

Great place near Guilford and water

We had a wonderful time, the house was beautiful and very clean. And the DVD collection was incredible for the morning it rained (and weird to have to explain to the 5 year olds what the plastic disc was ....). Thank you!!!

Spacious, comfortable, well stocked, and a great host!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful house with us! It was the perfect home base for visiting family nearby. Lots of room, comfortable beds and spaces, supplied with everything we needed, super easy check-in and check-out, and great communication. Next time we should come during warmer weather to enjoy the nice back yard and nearby beach.

Perfect for a family trip

Spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Phil was there to greet us when we arrived and showed us around the property. Location is close enough to walk to the green or to Jacobs Beach but also private and quiet. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to stay - thank you!

Lovely stay in Guilford

We stayed with a group of friends for our wedding weekend and it was the perfect space. Large enough for our group and conveniently located. The house was equipped with everything we needed and the outdoor space was beautiful! Phil was a great host, he helped with anything we needed and even greeted us with flowers when we checked in! Highly recommend this beautiful home!

Great house and welcoming host

We loved everything about our stay in this house. It was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Nice extra touches included fresh flowers, a bottle of wine, and fresh eggs from Phil's chickens. We will definitely be back.

You could not ask for more kind and considerate guests. You always worry a little about how guests might treat your home. Take my word for it, you don't need to worry for a single second about the Buckleys! Very happy they had a nice visit in Guilford and we look forward to their next visit.

We absolutely loved our stay. We were in town to celebrate my mother’s 100 yr birthday. The house was beautiful, spotless, spacious, and well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The host even provided flowers and fresh eggs from his chickens! Our grandchildren loved the basement with the ping pong table, sofa and television. We loved that the beach and spray park were within walking distance.The host was very communicative and accommodating. We highly recommend this home and would love to return.

Ladies Trip

5 ladies had a blast at this location. Cocktail hour around the tall outside table. Easy walk to restaurants right next door and downtown less than a mile away. The food was amazing. Then great time playing games at the large dining room table or lounging while watching the huge TV. Beds extremely comfortable. Great host!

Guilford Getaway for Graduation

We enjoyed a wonderful long weekend at the home in Guilford while attending our son's graduation nearby! The house was immaculate and perfectly met the needs of our multi-generation family. We enjoyed long walks nearby, cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and dining in town and along the CT coast. It was nice to have two sitting rooms so the quiet readers and talkers each had a space to relax. Will definitely be back!

Best house rental

The house exceeded our expectations The location was perfect quiet but close to all. The host was special. He answered all requests quickly and even greeted us on arrival. Fresh eggs were most appreciated. This is a gem for a large group of people. Again that’s Phil for ultimate host

Magical Wedding Weekend

House was amazing home base to prepare for my daughter's wedding at the Guilford Yacht Club. Very spacious, clean, upscale accommodations and a beautiful back yard for wedding party photographs. Phil was an amazing and gracious host, who went out of his way to make us feel welcome and insure that our stay was memorable. I would rent the house again in a heartbeat!!!! Thank You Phil!!!!

The Perfect Guilford House

I can’t say enough how much we enjoyed Phil’s place. Our family of five had plenty of room for our short stay in Connecticut. The location was perfect for local restaurants on the water and a short walk to town. The backyard served as our evening play zone then trips to the beach to end the day. Phil was an impeccable host throughout the entire booking process, check in and stay. We even added on an additional night because we didn’t want to leave. We will definitely be back. Thanks

Lovely, peaceful, and comfortable stay!

The house went above and beyond my expectations in terms of comfort and cleanliness, plus it was a stone's throw from the beautiful Guilford marina and charming shopping/dining area around the town square. The large dining and living rooms made it a great place to gather with extended family. Master bedroom on the main level with a huge shower is great for older guests or anyone needing special accommodations. Plus, Phil is a very responsive host and had lots of great recommendations for things to do in the area. I had one suggested improvement to the garage area and he took care of it right away. You will love staying here!

Five Star In Every Way

Our family stay was perfect, due in large part to Phil’s wonderful property. The pictures, while accurate, don’t do it justice. The home was immaculate, everything worked, and Phil went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Communications were timely and complete. Anyone coming to Guilford should book this property ASAP. You will be very happy you did.

Wonderful Wedding Weekend

Our son got married at Guilford Yacht Club, so we booked Phil's property for us and some family to stay for the weekend. Phil could not have been more accommodating...from reaching out to offer a two minute tour upon our arrival, to fresh dahlias, to allowing for late checkout if needed, to even priority shipping back to us some items we forgot when we left. The house was very clean and well equipped with anything and everything we could have needed. Also just a short walk to the marina, which is SO pretty, and a short drive from the center of charming Guilford. We would rent this property again in a heartbeat!!

Best of the best!

Phil is an amazing host: responsive and caring. Our family were celebrating my 85th birthday so we had ages 16 to 86 for a week. Everyone loved the house and location. Walked to beach, town, harbor. The yard is beautiful, fenced in, and good for games with good umbrellas to create shade. The house is the best equipped we've ever stayed in. My husband and I rented it for a month and we literally could have come with our clothes only and only shop for food. He even included spices and oil & vinegar, paper towels, laundry detergent, and do much more! ,.

You are very kind. I am so pleased the home worked well for your family. I hope you’ll consider another stay next summer. Perhaps 2 weeks… a month is a long stay. The home will be even better next year thanks to reviews and suggestions from guests.
