We hope you visit Kerrville, enjoy the town/activities/the wonderful resilient residents and see how quickly this town has turned around an unexpected flooding disaster.

This area of the Hill Country is known for their 279+ wineries, shops, restaurants/bars, music, dancing, unique boutiques, large ranches, German heritage with fabulous bakeries/restaurants. Enjoy Texan's History, Heritage and Hospitality..........

Driving into Kerrville will remind you of the European countryside with rooftops "peeking" out of the trees in rolling hills. Guadalupe River meanders through Kerrville and is abuzz with people swimming, kayaking, biking, walking along the river trail.

Many amenities nearby & short drives to Canyon Lake for boating, Boerne (darling town!), San Antonio is less than an hour drive. Unique towns each offering Texas world-renowned hospitality to visitors in their communities.

Enjoy the beautiful decorations, music, lights, Market Plaza, shopping & ice skating rink in downtown Fredericksburg during your winter stay in Kerrville.

We maintain our home continually & each season, we schedule larger projects. This spring/summer we installed a new HVAC system, new floor tile in the master shower, new roof and new front/back gutters, We want to assure our guests are comfortable and enjoy their stay at our cottage. Thus sometimes we block our calendar to complete a project - however, we always welcome inquiries, just in case we can open dates that may be blocked for an upcoming project - we'll "flex" our project, if possible!

Welcome to another one of our unique cottages, homey, comfortable, warm - we look forward to having you as our guests.

We welcome extended-stay guests (30+ days & no lodging taxes), as we have at all of our cottages, since 2013. Niki

It’s really a great place to stay. Very comfortable and modern. Kitchen is fantastic with everything a cook would want. Location is wonderful close to downtown, the river walk, Water Street and Schreiner University.

Scott - we are so glad you enjoyed your stay at our cottage, thank you! Curious as to the bike event - my husband is an avid biker, however, Texas doesn't have the bike paths, trails or mountains, like Colorado. So he doesn't bike as much here and he misses biking treks; he'd like to become involved in a biking group....in case you have some suggestions :)

We had discussed making the "sitting room" into an office space as it is perfect and nice size. Thus we are looking for a desk/chair which will fit and be a comfortable working space. Host was warm and welcoming. Home was very comfortable and clean in a quiet walkable neighborhood. We had everything we needed and enjoyed the birds and deer in the area.

Great stay and a nice clean house. It is on a fairly busy street but with a sound machine it was quiet enough at night. (We came right after the '26 flood so maybe it was just busy because of all the work being done in town.) Took off a star for the listing accuracy because the third bedroom is a mystery when you look at the pictures. But it was a nice 3rd bedroom with a normal queen bed (we were wondering if it was a sofa bed or something like that). The 2nd bedroom has an ensuite (if small) bathroom. The bathroom for the 3rd bedroom is in the hall, but it's very good sized. The desk is in a separate office off of the family room. We were very comfortable there. Someone with difficulty walking may have trouble - the front walkway is challenging, and there is a step down into the larger bedroom that we kept forgetting about. Maybe needs some yellow tape to remind visitors.We didn't cook much but the kitchen seemed well stocked. There was a keurig and a drip coffee maker. The host was very responsive and informative. Not too many chores expected on checkout. The location was convenient - but just about anywhere in kerrville is convenient. Doesn't take long to get around town. The area is walkable with sidewalks in many areas, and a park close by. Definitely recommend!

This was the perfect house for two couples, two kids, and an infant. We loved having three bathrooms with showers. The king bedroom was spacious. The neighborhood was quiet and safe.

Homes have always been a "love" of mine, since middle-school :), looking at black/white photos of homes, circling the homes I wanted to buy, nationwide. My Mom would ask "what are you going to do with all of those houses?" Little did we know I would have the opportunity and the blessing to follow one of my dreams. Growing up very poor, in a large family, it never occurred to me that I was just "dreamin".

I/we enjoy looking, finding, purchasing and decorating each unique home. We have been welcoming guests (national & international) to our homes since 2013 in Colorado and Texas. It is my favorite "hobby" :)

I currently work full-time in the Healthcare Industry and prior to changing careers, I started up, owned/managed my company for many years, specializing in providing "Ambassadors" (staff) for conventions, tradeshows & special events, nationwide.

I look forward to welcoming guests to our newest addition "Pickled Pepper Cottage" and hope you will enjoy your stay in our home , your time in beautiful Hill Country of Texas and will jump at the chance to follow your "dreams".

Close to downtown, river, golf course; 1960s remodeled home (one of my fav home eras), smaller with character, street appeal, with a little "spiffing" up projects planned. David and I enjoy working on the homes as well as decorating, thus we have "projects" planned for Pickled Pepper Cottage.

Located in beautiful Hill Country, Kerrville has many amenities to offer guests and close to unique areas, towns, activities which guests can enjoy. Wineries, excellent restaurants, music (nightly - somewhere close by), dancing, rivers, lakes, fishing, boating, hunting, biking, hiking, shopping, ranches, hour drive to San Antonio and 1.5 hours to Austin. Many beautiful places in between.

Come enjoy the hospitality of Texas and Texans - Take home a Texas "Star" to remind you of Texas and to follow your "Star" .
