Backyard Bungalow

Our sweet little bungalow is simple and cozy. All you need to be comfortable with a nice touch of class. We are located walking distance from coffee shops, restaurants, theatres, yoga & shopping. Enjoy the convenience of town while easily accessing our beautiful outdoors. Just minutes from the Colorado River Corridor, 25 min. to Rifle Mountain Park, 15 min. to Rifle Gap/Falls, Rifle Creek Golf Course, Harvey Gap State Park, Rifle Arch Trail & just 25 min. drive to the Glenwood Hot Springs pool.
The space
This rustic barn wood structure has a unique architectural design. Snuggling into your cozy "almost" queen sized loft will give you the feeling of sleeping in a treehouse. Enjoy the privacy of my wonderful backyard and deck where you can just chill, pet the kitties and enjoy some time to yourself. The Sanctuary is surrounded by trees and foliage. Enjoy the outdoor kitchen and fire pit (spring, summer & fall) with soft outdoor lighting and the beautiful Colorado sky as your backdrop. The three season outdoor kitchen has running water, an electric two burner stove and toaster (both you are welcome to use year round). Inside the Sanctuary you’ll find a mini refrigerator, microwave, water kettle for preparing tea and French press coffee maker, ceramic mugs, drinking glasses, silverware and plates. I can provide you with a crockpot for indoor use if you request but I do ask that if you bring a portable stove please use it outdoors. I truly love this space and want to keep it fresh so please remove your shoes while inside.

Exit I-70 and head North to find Railroad Ave. and downtown Rifle. From Railroad Ave. head east on 3rd Street. Your intimate Backyard Oasis is accessible off of 3rd street where you’ll enter the front driveway. You may park in the driveway which can be a bit tricky (3rd street is somewhat steep) or park on 3rd street. If parking in the driveway it’s best to enter when you are headed down 3rd Street rather than up. Walk to downtown Rifle, just a few blocks away where you will find restaurants, shops and theatre’s. Grocery store is approx. a half mile away.
Other things to note
My three very lovable cats live on the property. Jacklyn, Sass and Chevy are very friendly and entertaining. The kitties do not go inside the Sanctuary however If you have any sensitivity to cats this may not be the best fit for you as the cats are a part of the property.
Also, you will be sleeping in a loft. The mattress is custom made and very comfortable measuring just shy of a regular queen sized mattress.
The bathroom is tiny and has everything you'll need including organic cotton towels and doTERRA hand and shower soap. You'll have a tiny closet and a few other little spots to store your stuff so you might want to pack light.
