We stayed here while my home was under repairs from a leak. It was clean and comfortable. The host was responsive and helpful whenever I had questions. The washer/dryer was a key reason I selected this location so I wouldn't have to trek to a laundromat for our clean clothes. Thank you for providing such a great space during a stressful time.

Great House & Safe Quiet Neighborhood

We had a great stay at this cute house. Wonderful neighborhood that felt very safe. Plenty of room for myself, husband, & 3 kids. I needed to reach out to the Host Ezra at one point and received immediate response, which was very nice. We would highly recommend this Vrbo to other family members when they visit too. Thank you.

Ezra's Place.

Very clean, comfortable and quite. The unit is located in an older part of Modesto which is an excellent neighborhood to enjoy a walk in. Resturants, a very good grocrey and parks are within a short walk. Ezra is great host. Very attentive and respondes quickly to any questions or requests. We highly recommend this as a place stay. The property was nice a cute little 2 bedroom. I didn’t realize it was a duplex but, the neighbors were quiet. The cleaning people were late and it wasn’t available until 5:30, check in was 3:00. I just took my mom to dinner and it was ready soon after. Ezra was very apologetic and made up for it by purchasing a coffee pot and coffee. I hadn’t realized it only had a coffee press. It worked out great for my brother and I both coming from out of state and very nice for each of us to have our own room. Very quiet neighborhood and great location for us. Thank you Ezra I would stay there again.

Not what we expected

The size of the space was good. However, it seemed to have a stupid apartment attached to the house. While sitting in the living room we could hear the tv from whoever was there. Getting in was easy except that the pin pad was loose on the door. We struggled at first to get in and went to the lock box for a key but there was nothing in it. The bathroom fan didn’t work very well and there was what look like black mold growing in the bathroom tile. The washer and dryer was outside in a closet on the front porch. We ended up not using it. On our last morning we had the curtain open in the front bedroom and saw something on the wall where the head of the bed was. I don’t even know what it was but it looked like something dripped down the wall. On the bathroom ceiling was dead bugs of some sort and they were on the filters on the exhaust fan. I ended up scrubbing that the best I could. I also scrubbed down the bathroom wall by the toilet because it just looked dirty. The toilet was super close the wall. My husband who is a plumber said he didn’t think it was up to code. The beds were horrible. They had some sort of cheap metal frame that squeaked with every turn. The mattress was similar to a futon mattress. We only used the one room but the second bedroom had a similar mattress. The only other positive was the quiet neighborhood. We’ve used Vrbo plenty of time and unfortunately this was the worst one.

Clean, comfortable beds, quiet, and safe residential neighborhood with plenty of on-street parking, large trees for shade, and friendly neighbors walking their dogs. Seven minute drive on leafy residential streets to downtown Modesto and the Gallo Center for the Performing Arts. The house is sparsely furnished. Kitchen had two chairs (boxes) without seat backs. One bedroom had a desk chair, and there are two chairs on the front porch.

Images on the VRBO Site at the time we reserved our space showed a lovely back yard which is what we were looking for because we have a 5 year old. Apparently, without notice they decided to cut the back yard to a small walk space vs the larger grass back yard listed. We tried reaching out to the host regarding the electrical but never received a response. Every time the A/C turned on ceiling lights flickered pretty badly and would cause us to have to turn off the lights in every room. This flickering occurred in both bedrooms the living room and kitchen. We were working remotely and thankfully there was enough natural light that we didnt have to rely on ceiling lights. Beds were nice but the frame was very rickety so we felt unstable when sleeping. Area is lovely which is also why we picked this rental and it is centrally located. There is great potential but some work needs to go into the house and updated images would be better so people know what to expect.

Great house in a great neighborhood

This is a nicely updated house in one of the nicest areas in Modesto. Close to shopping and restaurants, great for walking and biking. Furnishings are basic but the host is working to upgrade. Very clean and the host was very helpful.
