KenRu Retreat is a cozy 3 season cabin located on the Tiger Cat Flowage in Hayward, WI. This 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom property accommodates up to 7 guests. Enjoy a private pier, sandy beach, and a peaceful peninsula. The cabin is pet-friendly, allowing dogs to join your vacation. Situated on its own private peninsula it makes it the perfect getaway for the pups to run around and enjoy there vacation.

KenRu Retreat is a unique property as it offers you complete privacy from your neighbors as it sits on its own private peninsula making it perfect for a peaceful getaway.

The peninsula is large enough to let the dogs roam around while you sit back and relax on the large deck. The quiet nature of this property allows you to have peaceful nights by the fire with family and friends. The property faces west giving you breathtaking Northwoods sunsets.

One of the best features of this property is that it has true sand frontage that does not drop off steeply making it a perfect place for family`s with kids of all ages. No matter what this property will give you the true Northwoods vacation you have been looking for.

Great cabin on the lake! We loved the sandy beach and the dock. Property has lots of decks and places to be outside. Inside is a small rustic cabin (with a newer kitchen). The kids had so much fun playing here!

Beautiful Location!

We had a great time staying in this very comfortable cabin on the Tiger Cat. The views and privacy were amazing! Nice little beach area with crystal clear water. Thanks for letting us stay, we'll be back!

Wonderful Family Vacation

Great stay! The property was just right. The beach and dock provided the perfect entry into the water for swimming, floating, amd boating. We went fishing in the flowage, and caught a variety of nice fish. The drive into town was manageable, govvong accea to supplies, restaurants, and fun local stores.

This was a great place for our dogs to roam, run & play. It is a rustic cabin which we expected and was nice not worrying about anything fancy with our dogs. The peninsula was so private, we loved the total peace n quite. Beds were comfortable and the house had everything we needed. Loved the lil beach n we had our pontoon docked there. Only thing we would do differently if we stay again is launch our pontoon first as the circle driveway is very small for a bigger truck n longer pontoon to turn around in.

Private Cabin

Loved the cabin and little beach. New appliances, and well stocked kitchen. Great Lake to fish and explore. Caught bluegill, Bass, and Northern.

Getaway

This is an old, rustic cabin with some nice upgrades. The kitchen is small but has new appliances and is well equipped. The shower is tiny but clean and there is plenty of hot water. We had a problem with a burnt out light which was quickly taken care of. What we liked about this property is the very large and private outdoor spaces. Perfect for kids and dog to play. Yes there are weeds on the bottom but it’s deep enough to swim over them at the end of the short dock. And it’s sandy in the shallow area.

Rustic Cabin

This is an excellent cabin for a quiet experience with nature. There was an eagle, several herons and loons on the lake. The fishing was excellent. If you are looking for a place to teach young kids to fish, this is a good location. Can't help but catch some fish. The swimming may not be so good. The shore is sand, but the depth is only 2 feet at the end of the dock. The weeds start at the end of the dock and the depth is only about 5 feet for a long way out. I call the cabin rustic not because it does not have all the amenities one might be looking for, but because it smelled musty. There was a strong musty smell coming from the lower level.

Private setting

Property is rustic, but overall was a good place to stay. Perfect for our dogs because they could run around and we didn't have to worry about them disturbing any neighbors. The basement could use a dehumidifier because the musty smell comes upstairs. The outside decks could use some rugs for wiping feet before you enter the house. Bath mat was also dirty and wet when we arrived. The gutters were full of pine needles, so when it stormed, the water poured off the roof instead. There are also some tree limbs that could be trimmed so that you can see the lake better. With all that said, I think we would stay here again in the future. Could use a few updates for the price that is charged for this property.

We had a wonderful time, my husband caught a ton of fish right off the dock. The property was super clean, incredibly beautiful and private just like we were hoping for. My only suggestion would be to maybe get a dehumidifier for the downstairs. Maybe its just that I'm sensitive because of my asthma but the musty smell was noticeable. Other than that we loved our time and will definitely be booking another stay.
