Cozy Cottage

This was our first time staying in Tobermory, and we absolutely loved the cottage! It was very modern, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We especially loved the jacuzzi, and the star gazing here was incredible. The fire pit was also a great touch. We really enjoyed the quiet, peaceful atmosphere and the privacy of the property. It was the perfect place to disconnect and relax. The only small issue we experienced was with flies. We noticed in the guest book that this is something common, so it may be worth looking into if possible. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay!

Good

Everything was great—very clean overall. It had everything you need in a beautiful natural setting. Having a gas fire pit on the deck is a nice bonus to consider. But the wood-burning fire pits in the garden and the fireplace in the house work well too. Everything gets a 10. If I had to mention one thing, the water in the hot tub didn’t look as clean as it should—that’s the only thing they should pay attention to.

Amazing house, very spacious inside and out, nice welcome pack with plenty of coffee also included. Quiet location, great for star gazing, hot tub and fire pit were wonderful, and the cornhole game was fun too! Tesla EV charger worked well with our VW (bring your own adapter). Would recommend a trip to Flowerpot Island and a wonder around the Tobermory town centre.

Great first visit to Tobermory!

We loved the outdoor deck and secluded nature of the property. A fantastic place to return to after hiking in the Bruce.

A Perfect Winter Getaway

This cottage offered the perfect setting for a winter getaway where we wanted to unplug from the day-to-day grind and relax. The space is thoughtfully designed and feels high quality. We appreciated how quiet the setting was. After a snowy hike out to see the Grotto, the hot tub, sauna and wood stove were all very much appreciated. Highly recommended.

Beautiful home and property

We had a lovely stay between Christmas and New Years. The place is spacious, clean and beautiful. Outdoor hot tub is a highlight.

Perfect Getaway

My friends and I really enjoyed my stay at this property! Everything you need is included and it is very conveniently located to all there is to explore on the peninsula. The hot tub is also great for relaxing in after a long day of exploring. Would definitely stay here again!

Cedarwood Cottage. Relaxing oasis

Beautiful home with natural privacy in the backyard. Easily accommodates 3 couples (minimum) with their own washroom. Hot tub and wood burning fireplace added to relaxation.

Great accommodations in a great location!

The cottage was cozy and offered everything to make your stay comfortable and accommodating. The service was great and fast when we required. Highly recommended for anyone that is looking for a great updated cottage with amenities inside and nearby. Will return again!

Amazing accommodation in a peaceful setting

My family (4 of us, including 2 older teenage boys), all had such a lovely time staying here. The owners/hosts really have thought of everything you might need for a stay that you take for granted when you are in your own home. The Sauna, fire pit & BBQ were all well used (Peacocks is a 10 minute drive for things to cook on the BBQ & logs for the fire pit). Despite it being a hot week in July, the house was kept cool with good colder air circulation throughout (all adjustable to preferences). Lots of space & lots of coffee pods to help start the morning too. The sofa is super comfortable for watching YouTube/Netflix at night too. Got right into watching Outdoor Boys! Total peace & tranquility, with all the comforts of a modern & stylish home. A special shout out to Grey Bruce too, very helpful & friendly too. Tobermory is such a beautiful spot & this was such an amazing place to stay for our mini tour of Ontario (over from Edinburgh, Scotland).

Beautiful but issues with host

The home was beautiful but upon arrival the hot tub cover was broken and the hot tub very dirty. We contacted the host immediately on friday and NEVER got a reply. There was also a lot of garbage along the property - we summed it up to snow melting and picked up empties, garbage, trash under the snow. There were no instructions on how to use the suana.. the advertise it but clearly dont want nyone in it

Regarding the sauna, we’d like to clarify that detailed instructions for its use are included in the digital guidebook provided to all guests prior to arrival. We apologize if this wasn’t clear or easy to locate. We’re also actively addressing the concerns about the hot tub and the garbage that became visible after the snow melt. Cleanliness and guest communication are top priorities for us, and we're looking into why your message wasn’t received or responded to as expected. That said, we’re surprised by the 1-star rating given that the rest of the home was, as you mentioned, beautiful and well-appointed. We truly strive to offer a great experience, and while this stay clearly had areas we can improve, we don’t feel it reflects the overall quality and effort we put into maintaining the property. Thank you again for your stay and for helping us improve.
