Waterfront Cottage w/ Sauna and Private Sandy Beach

Truly a rare find, this waterfront spacious 2 story, 3 bedroom cottage is privately nestled among cedar and birch trees. The large front lawn leads to a private waterfront lot with your own sandy beach! Watch the sun rise over the harbour on the large dock with more than enough space for all your vacation guests or take one of our complementary kayaks, canoes or swim out to our floating dock to soak up the sun. There is lots of space for everyone on this large property of more than 1 acre.

In the fall and winter enjoy the Bruce when it is not as busy but just as beautiful. Take a hike on one of the endless trails and to return to a cozy fire to warm up. We are located within minutes of snowmobile trail access and Bruce Peninsula National Park. We are about a 20 minute drive to Tobermory or Lions Head.

This cottage features vaulted pine ceilings, hard wood flooring throughout and slate in the kitchen. Sit on the large deck looking out to Pine Tree Harbour and Lake Huron. Two patio doors provide access to this great view from the deck. The master bedroom has its own patio entrance to the deck.
The finished walkout basement includes the third bedroom, sauna, washroom, recreation room, wet bar and laundry.

The cottage is equipped with many features to add to your enjoyment. For example there are:

Located on quite Pine Tree Harbour, Lake Huron. The Harbour offers great fishing for perch and bass or take a trip to the lake and try your luck salmon or pike fishing! On a typical night, you'll catch your fair share of fish right in this harbour!.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful, spacious waterfront cottage. We enjoyed the stargazing and meteor shower at this dark sky preserve area of Miller Lake.It was perfect for our family, with plenty of room for everyone and lots to do both indoors and outside. The property is incredibly private, making it a wonderful place to relax, unwind, and enjoy quality time together. The waterfront setting was absolutely beautiful, and the cottage had everything we needed for a memorable family getaway. We would definitely love to return!

Ideal location. Beautiful house. Loved the additional space in the basement and all of the outdoor furniture and fire pit. Very clean and looked exactly as pictured. The host was wonderful.

Great Cottage Stay

This was a great property to stay at. It had everything you might need to enjoy your stay. We enjoyed using the dock and the fire pit. Highly recommend staying here.

Our family of 7 had a great time at the Cottage! It really is a lovely spot and well cared-for. There are so many nice outdoor spaces; I think we each could have had our own spot if we'd wanted! :) The kayaks, SUP's and canoe were fabulous and got a lot of use. The Cottage is about 25 minutes from most things, so it was really great to have so much to do onsite. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend to others!Some considerations for future guests: the downstairs bathroom is pretty tight quarters for the shower and toilet (which is small and very near a wall). Our teens preferred showering upstairs. The two smaller bedrooms are just that - smaller. This wasn't a problem for us, just something to be aware of.

Charming place

Beautiful place, very quiet! We loved de dock, the view....in the middle of nature! The chalet is very comfortable, very close from bruce peninsula parc. We ad an amazing time, thanks!

Beautiful Northern Getaway

Perfect place to slow down.

We enjoyed sitting on the dock in the mornings and evenings sipping our hot beverages, watching the loons, drinking in the beauty of the bay and listening to the waves of the lake in the distance. My husband and I made use of the canoe around the bay which was so calm. Did not have any luck catching fish though. This cottage is a great location to get to several day hike locations and going out to eat. We will be back!

Beautiful

This home is bright and lovely. The property is very private and right on the water. I was able to bring my dog, who loved swimming off the dock. At night we went outside to stargaze. We could see the Milky Way and thousands of stars thanks to the lack of light interference . This home was an easy drive to Tobermory and the other areas we wanted to see. I would highly recommend this great place.

Nice property

The place is clean and property is on water and beautiful but very remote with not a lot of options for excursions. Would be nice to have full use of fridge and have room for grocery items, as it felt like we were living in someone’s space. If you’re looking to maximize your time, be aware of tight checkin and out times. Kathy is responsive.

Thank you for the great review! We're happy that you found our family cottage clean and beautiful! Thank you for your care and respect while staying there with your family! We were are also happy that we were able to offer you an early check-in immediately upon your request. To clarify our refrigerator situation for future guests, we have two standard sized refrigerators. In one we keep condiments only. There's no perishable foods. Our condiments take up very little space. In the basement fridge we keep a few cans of beverages. Again these take very little space. Both freezers are empty. There really is lots of room in both refrigerators. It is our cottage and we do use it ourselves and are offering it to others to enjoy with their families. We are not simply an investment property. There are countless excursions 20 minutes from our cottage in both the north or south directions. We are known by several guests including countless repeat guests as the perfect location. Our guests hear loons and watch migrating birds, fish right off the dock kayak or canoe. And last but certainly not least, our night skies are exceptional for stargazing. If you want to escape to a nature retreat with all the comforts of home only 20 mins from Tobermory or Lions Head, we are the perfect spot!

Fantastic week at Miller Lake

We had a wonderful time exploring and hiking in the area. We specifically picked this cottage because of the property and beach access. The water level was very low but that also made the water warm. Make sure you bring water shoes as the lake has a loose mud bottom. The cottage was great and met our needs. Having coffee on the back deck was a lovely way to start the day. The bed situation was not ideal for us as we had one adult sleeping in a bunk bed but we knew that going in that would be the only reason we would think twice about staying there again Highly recommend this property

Quiet and peaceful

We wanted a quiet and peaceful getaway and we got exactly that. Kathy was very attentive to us and responded to our requests in a timely manner. The cottage was a well equipped and relaxing. We had nice warm fires and plenty of boardgames to played with the family when wanting to do nothing but chill out. We had wonderful times just out on the large dock staring at the sunrise, sunset, and stars on clear nights. The cottage also served as a perfect starting point for numerous hikes on the Bruce Peninsula - from a nice afternoon in Tobermory to exploring the Grotto as well as hiking the Lionhead portion of the Bruce trail. Would definitely go back.

Peaceful, Cozy and Clean

This property is true to the pictures, however I think In person it is even nicer, it has a nice ‘warmth’ to it. I travel with my dog and he and I loved the beach that is part of this property. Great proximity to Singing Sands, Little Cove and Tobermory.

The Perfect Getaway Spot

Miller Lake

This cottage had an amazing property, the landscape surrounding was absolutely breathtaking. With a large yard for lots of games, a long dock to see the beautiful lake and even a beach area for the kids to play in the same and walk into the water! We went during a very warm week, and there is no A/C so evenings were very hot and some evenings it rained so the whole cottage was very humid and held a lot of moisture. So sleeps were not that great, but everything else was amazing !!

Pine Tree Harbour Miller Lake

Really liked the layout of the cottage, lots of comfortable places to sit inside and out. Beautiful view of the harbour from the dock. Great spot for kayaking. Central location to activities on the Bruce Peninsula. Beware of the goose droppings!

Glad you enjoyed your stay! Sorry that the geese were around. We try to keep those annoying birds off our property as best as we can but sometimes they are very persistent when we are not around to scare them away.

Luxury in a Northern Paradise

Beautiful location and private. All the comforts of home. We stayed 2 weeks for Christmas and New Year's. Would definitely do it again. Summer would be perfect as well. Everything was perfect. (Except microwave didn't work) Thrilled to have seen a beautiful grey wolf!

Tobermory cottage

The lake location is perfect. However, some aspects of the property were a little “tired” and in need of repair, example the dock, screen doors, room fans. There was also little room to store food as the owners own food is stored in the kitchen and wetbar.

Thanks for your comments. During your stay you were the first to enjoy the brand new dock sitting area. The sides of the dock are in the process of restoration. The main patio screen was also brand new as is the lake screen. All fans in working order. We do leave some condiments in the food which most guests appreciate if they run out of anything. I'm a little puzzled by your comments but in any event thank you again. Enjoy the rest of your summer.
