Welcome to Five Pines, a beautiful vacation home located on peaceful 270 acre Pickerel Lake, northwest Eagle River, in Vilas County. This year round, NEW custom home is a one of a kind vacation rental, combining an old school up North feel with a modern design. Five Pines boasts four bedrooms, including a bunk room for the kids and private deck off of the master bedroom, with three full bathrooms. The spacious open concept living/kitchen area highlights magnificent western facing views of Pickerel Lake, known for its fishing and access to some of the best snowmobile/ATV trails in the Eagle River area. But it doesn’t end there, continue to enjoy this wondrous view and natural surroundings on a comfortable screened porch or dine outside on a large deck. For those rainy days or quiet nights in, the house also includes an exquisite view of the lake downstairs with floor to ceiling windows in a cozy living and entertainment area, offering a large smart tv and Starlink Wi-Fi. The outdoor space is where the fun really begins, with a fire pit for making smores, charcoal grill, fifty foot dock, sandy waterfront for swimming and fishing boat to enjoy the majestic views and sunsets. Enjoy the magic of the North Woods, making lasting memories with family and friends at Five Pines and all that it has to offer.

Dishonest owner using property as money grab

Host was not honest about property to gain the booking. Emailed owner about the lake conditions in particular around the dock. I stated I will be bringing a wakeboard/surf boat and required 30” depth at the dock. I also requested info on the swimming conditions as we are bring children. I was told it is about 4 feet at the end of the dock and it is a sandy bottom. When we arrive at the boat ramp there is a sign that say wake boats aren’t allowed. Boating is the main thing we do on vacation. Swimming wise at the end of the dock it is just all muck. It would be nice if the owners cared about their guests having a good vacation. Also didn’t like all the surveillance cameras, make it hard to relax when someone is watching you.

Annual Northwoods Family Trip

This is a beautiful home that includes just about anything you can think of! There were 10 of us (5 adults, 5 kids) staying here and we had more than enough room to sleep and lounge around the house. The basement TV area and bunk room were wonderful for the kids. The location being between St. German and Eagle River was great because there are places we enjoy going in each town. We had a very small issue when we arrived but Katie was immediately available by phone and addressed it. She was wonderful to work with and we would stay again if we continue to vacation in this area! Highly recommend!

Christmas Break Trip ‘23

Great location! We enjoyed the property and our stay. An odd year with zero snow and ice that was recovering from a mild spell, but we made the most of it. Neighbors (locals) don't seem to like the fact it is a rental property, but we stayed away from them. One thing we wish the home had was a main level TV so we could all enjoy football games together. We would stay here again.

Summer Getaway

Enjoyed our week up North! Kids had fun fishing and swimming. My daughters and I did a lot of kayaking. House was beautiful! The only thing that would give rating a 5 star would be the backyard sitting area needs some work. Overall, loved our stay!

Friends yearly getaway

Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful new home. We do a yearly stay and this year we had another wonderful trip. The owners we very responsive and easy to work with. The only thing I would add is the fishing boat does not come with the motor. We thought we were getting a boat we could take around the lake. Also, we could not find a rental place to deliver a pontoon to this location. Our stay was very enjoyable and would highly recommend this location for a family vacation.

Family Vacation

The property was everything it stated it was. It was clean and beautiful. The lake views were amazing. The fishing was great! The host was easy to contact and answered my question right away. Would highly recommend!

Amazing home on Amazing Lake!

What a great find! This home provided our small family and two sets of grandparents more than enough space (inside and out) to unwind, rest, and relax from life. We were able to have smores, fish, see bald eagles soaring over the pier and so much more. The house was super clean, extremely well maintained (new) and had most of what we needed. Will definitely stay here again.

Great New Home

We had a group of 10 people 3 couples and 4 kids, beds were cozy. Space was very nice and clean with plenty of kitchen cookware. The Living spaces are a bit small for a group of that size to gather together ( in the winter) it would have been plenty if we would have been able to be outside. We had 3 full size trucks and Trailers and the parking was tricky, but we made it work. It is about 2 miles on the road to the nearest snowmobile trail, so plan accordingly if the snow is thin. Never really heard or saw many neighbors. Property is very nice and comfortable and the hosts were super easy to reach. Thank you for New Years in the Northwoods

Perfect family getaway

This beautiful brand new cabin is spacious and comfortable. It has a kitchen built for socializing while cooking and dining in. All new appliances and a huge island and dining area. The main floor living space has a big comfy sofa in front of a remote controlled gas fireplace. All this looks out over the lovely Pickerel Lake, where we caught bluegill and perch off the dock. I wish I could upload the video of the bald eagle that swooped down right in front of us and snatched a fish we’d thrown back. The walk out lower level area was where my kids spent the rest of their time, with their video games hooked up to the tv. They loved the kids’ bunk room for sleeping. The master suite has its own walk in closet, comfy king bed, full bath, and a private deck. There is another large deck off the kitchen with enough space for a large group to relax and dine. Part of it is screened in to escape the bugs, I suppose, but there were no mosquitos in sight all weekend. Every room has remote-controlled light/fan. Construction had just finished when we were there, so the lawn was not in yet, but I would love to go back next year to see it filled in. Katie was delightful to work with. Thorough and attentive to details, such as safety features, appliances, and instructions for getting checked in. This place was a dream.
