The Windfield House is a Creole Style Cottage nestled on three acres beside a pond. This is the perfect getaway to detach from stress and worries. It is ideal for family sized gatherings, including weekend events for our local colleges, sports and graduations, small weddings, bridal or baby showers. We want our house to be a destination that brings people together. There is no internet; however, Verizon services works great! If you would like to feel "away from it all". Relax by the pool, enjoy the quiet, watch the sunset, or stargaze our night skies!

Spacious front porch and inground pool. On the first floor you will find an open floor plan living area, dining, kitchen, and breakfast nook. The owners suite (KING) is also downstairs with a full en suite bath. There is an additional bedroom(full&twin)/full bath on the first level. The second level has two bedrooms (Queen, Queen/Twin) each with full baths. There are steps leading into all entries of the house. Large spacious yard area with horseshoe pits, cornhole boards, fire pit, and more.
Owners/Hosts live next door.

Awesome getaway

Beautiful serene getaway for four friends playing the RTJ Trail courses. Anne was responsive if we had a question, although her information within the property left little to ask about! Would stay again if in the area

Great place to stay

Check in was easy. We had everything we needed. The hosts were great. Great pool. I would definitely recommend this place. I would stay there again if we are back in Auburn.

Lovely Place

The property was clean, had all needed services, plenty of space and on our list to stay again in the future. Enjoyed taking a dip in the pool at the end of the day to relax and unwind.

December Grad with Family

Great house with beautiful views, space for all the family and guests for graduation dinner! Hosts very responsive to a couple of needs. Enjoyed our stay! While drive into town was a consideration - quickly became manageable, especially since house was so nice!

A Serene Location

We were able to shut down and relax. This place was amazing. The pool, the lake and a fire pit. What more could we ask for. Highly recommend!!

Fall Family Reunion

The house was very clean, spacious and comfortable! It has a beautiful view of the pond and is peaceful and quiet. Our family gathered from as far away as Boston and enjoyed our stay.

Another Winfield House Stay

This is our second visit to Winfield House…after the first we knew we would be back! Honestly, we felt like we were home when we pulled up. The property is everything in the listing and more. From the peaceful outdoors to the comfortable living space, we love everything about it!

What a wonderful home and property. Very relaxing. Beautiful location. Comfortable furniture. Great kitchen. The pool is perfect and exactly what I would want in my back yard. Great host. An overall excellent experience and will be back.

Very Peaceful Property

Very quiet, peaceful, and perfect for the weekend. The idea was to be outside of Auburn so we could enjoy the weekend with football but still get some needed rest. The house had everything. With 4 beds / 4 baths, gave our group the space from each other. The pool was a great place to relax. If you like to grill, that area was absolutely awesome. Highly recommend if you need some peace and quiet while needing to stay in the area.

Amazing

Everything was absolutely perfect. It defiantly has the home away from home feeling. The house had everything you’d need provided and was very clean. This is the perfect place to get away from life with or without family. We enjoyed every single second of our relaxation time. The host is very professional and welcoming. If you want to disconnect and relax this is the place for you! Also to add very kid friendly.

Great stay

I booked Anne’s home while visiting for an Auburn football game. The house was clean and beautiful inside and out! It was about 30 minutes from campus, but an easy drive and worth it for the peace and quiet. The pool was so nice, although it was too chilly to use when we were visiting. We appreciated the grills and that the house had enough paper products and trash bags to keep us from buying any as most of us were visiting from out of state. Anne was quick to respond when I had any questions. I would definitely book this home again!

Peace, Serenity & all the Trimmings!

I felt so strongly about my stay, I actually wrote a review as we were pulling out of the driveway in the app on my phone 2 weeks ago, but either because of user error or a glitch in the app, it wouldn't post! We stayed at Winnfield House outside of Auburn/Columbus for my daughter's wedding just a few miles down the road. Settled on a lake, with the most picturesque sunsets, the home inside & out is beautiful, peaceful, comfortable, with every amenity...it is all that and more! My family and I all thought, WOW we'd like to come here just to stay for no reason at all! And the host, well, she is even better! Her genuine care about me and my family, prompt responses to every question, appropriate communication, checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed, going above and beyond when I made an error on my reservation, and everything in between, we couldn't have asked for a better host! Seriously, Winnfield House is all that and more...Thank you for allowing us to stay!

Wonderful place to stay!

My family and I stayed at this beautiful home for a weekend while my son graduated from Vet school. He stayed as well and we were all nothing short of impressed with Anne’s home! To start, the booking and check in was super easy. My questions were answered promptly and everything was very accommodating! Everything was there that we needed. The home was lovely and comfortable and very clean. The property on which the house sat was absolutely beautiful as it is a tad out in the country which we love and are used to. It sits on a well maintained yard with pretty landscaping and on a large pond. We enjoyed sitting outside under the carport listening to frogs at night and in the mornings, I cooked breakfast on the blackstone. We got to meet Anne before heading home who was the best host! If I could give this home more than five stars, I most definitely would! Word of advice before heading in though…. Get groceries on your way in. Nearest grocery store is twenty minutes and the nearest restaurant is a wing place is 10-15 minutes maybe. They did have excellent wings!!! Thank you, Anne for your hospitality! We thoroughly enjoyed our time together at your beautiful home!
