Family friendly, ocean view in Central, art zone; 5 min to beach

Our family-friendly condo (sleeps 6) in Puesta del Sol, a gated and beautifully landscaped garden complex centrally located to the beach/Malecon (4 blocks downhill), food (taco stands to world class cuisine), art district (Wednesday night art walks), iconic Main Plaza (10 min walk), city look-out point (directly up hill), and cultural experiences throughout the cobblestone streets. The condo is a cooler NW corner unit with sweeping views of ocean and town. In the daytime watch for whales and hear the flute of native dancers on the Malecon. At night see the sunset and, after dark, fireworks from the Pirate ship and the hotels around the bay. A short walk brings you to the famous Malecon (traffic-free, landscaped path along the beach), where locals and tourists jog in the morning and stroll anytime, stretching from the hotel zone to the north (30 min walk) to the Romantic Zone to the south (15 min walk). Our location is ideal for those who want to embrace the culture in a very central location, where the traditional Mexican lifestyle of local families, small shops, children walking to and from school, small family grocery stores, and church bells calling people to Mass coexists with a multitude of eateries, shops, and art stores that cater to tourists. Two caveats: (1) The price of being in the middle of amazing Mexican culture is the sound of music coming from below until the wee hours on Fridays and Saturdays during high season; and (2) the price of our stunning view is a walk up 100 stair steps via a landscaped switchback. Kitchen has refrigerator, gas stove, and microwave. A/C is in main bedroom and in the main living area/kitchen. All rooms have windows. Ceiling fans in two main bedrooms. Front desk and gate staffed 24/7.
